Great cabin. Responsive host. Clean and new. We liked the room setup - two living rooms both with TVs and cable. Very spacious. Kids loved the arcade room. Would definitely rent this VRBO again!!

Amazing House

Our family had a great stay at this house. We have stayed in many VRBO’s over the years, and this was the best stocked house yet - the kitchen, linens, etc.. The interior is beautify as well as the great wrap around deck with grill and fire pit in the enclosed back yard. The host was very responsive and flexible - overall couldn’t give a higher recommendation.

Exceptional property and friendly hosts

The property was even nicer than its shows on the website. Hosts were gracious and checked to insure our arrival went smoothly. We have stayed at about 10 Vrbo properties. This is by far the best, cleanest, and best maintained. And lots to do in the area for all ages.

Juniata College graduation weekend

This is second time we have stayed at this property and will likely stay again. I would highly recommend it especially for Juniata College events. It is very convenient to Huntingdon. The owners are super responsive and accommodating. You will find the property exactly as described and pictured.

Perfect Thanksgiving getaway!

This property is absolutely fantastic! Location is perfect: far enough away for quiet and privacy but just a few minutes drive into town. Our family of 5 spent Thanksgiving weekend here, and we could not have asked for more! We had such a terrific time; we ended up staying on the property the entire weekend because we loved the home and the R&R so much! No need to leave! Lol Hosts are wonderful with excellent communication; they go above and beyond to make sure guests have whatever they need. Home is amazing: plenty of room to spread out with sitting areas, game room, outdoor wrap around deck, outdoor firepit and also with cozy areas like the living room with gas fireplace to spend quality time together. We walked into a festive Christmas wonderland with all the Christmas decorations out, too! Beautiful! Kitchen has everything any cook needs, beds are super comfortable, and all the supply essentials are provided for you. Spectacular property!! Can’t wait to go back !!

Labor Day Family Getaway

One of the cleanest homes I’ve ever rented and honestly, a lot of home for the price! We stayed with our 3 adult children, a daughter in law and a toddler and everyone had plenty of room. The backyard is wonderful for smaller kids! The adults lived in the game room. Kitchen is very well appointed. Dale checked in via text to ensure we were happy and was able to troubleshoot something over the phone easily. We hope to be back again!

Great cabin-style house with modern amenities

Dale has a great house here and he’s a very responsive host. Located in a quiet, wooded subdivision, this house has privacy from neighboring homes. It’s just minutes from Huntingdon, so loading up on groceries/supplies for your stay is extremely convenient. The house was so clean it would pass a white-glove inspection! Comfortable beds. Great covered deck, gas grill and fully equipped kitchen. After full days out on Lake Raystown, this proved to be a great retreat for a relaxing family evening playing board games, darts and pinball. This house was perfect for our long weekend getaway. Would happily stay here again.

Fantastic!

Lovely, secluded property in quiet setting. It was immaculate. We really enjoyed the arcade and separate living spaces up and down. The covered deck is so spacious. It was super hot and the A/C worked flawlessly. We couldn’t have been happier.

Great PSU Weekend

Family, friends and I enjoyed our stay here before and after a Penn State Football white-out game. One of the nicest rentals we have ever used. Especially enjoyed the game room. Outdoor firepit would have been great had it not been raining. The fireplace with lights above provide a wonderful ambiance.

Always a blessing

We are repeat visitors to Margaret’s getaway. Beautiful cabin which is beautifully maintained. From time spent quietly reading on the deck while listening to the rain and watching the deer graze in the yard, to the bonfire in the backyard making s’mores with our family, to challenges on the pinball machine in the basement-all add up to treasured family memories. The owners are wonderful and easy to communicate with and feel more like family. Take my advice-everyone needs some time at Margaret’s getaway!

Relaxing getaway

We enjoyed our family vacation. The home was well equipped with games, supplies, and areas for relaxing. Dale was thorough and helpful in all of his recommendations and made sure our stay was comfortable. I would recommend this home to others as well as stay there again myself!

Beautiful Cabin

Fresh new build. Cabin has everything you need. Kids loved the game room. We enjoyed the porch. The switch backs could be a little tricky if you don't have a 4x4. Everything else was great!

Father’s Day getaway.

The house was spotless, well decorated/appointed, secluded and quiet. Kids had a blast with the game room and making s’mores at the fire pit. The wraparound deck was perfect for having coffee in the morning and cocktails in the evening. This was the first VRBO I have been to that actually had a nice grill to top it all off. Highly recommend and will definitely go back.

Birthday Weekend

Secluded property - quiet - yet close enough to town. The house is beautiful - we went in December and the house was decorated for Christmas. We enjoyed the game room, cozy fireplace, and gorgeous deck with comfy furniture perfect for stargazing. We went for a hike at nearby Trough Creek State Park then came back and enjoyed the evening making a gingerbread house. It was a perfect way to celebrate my husbands birthday with our daughter and her family. I would not hesitate to recommend this property - the owner was in contact with us to make sure all was good with the house - it was a wonderful weekend away!

This is an excellent mountain top retreat. Very quiet saw deer every day. Owners were available and gave us a lot of information on the area notability the best restaurants in the area. Would definitely stay here again

A Perfect PA Cabin for Fall!!!

We could not ask for a better experience. The cabin is excellent and described perfectly in the listing. The communication with the owner was quick and always helpful. The hillside setting, right outside town, and blue sky peak fall season, made our entire experience over the top. Drove a lot of the back roads just absorbing all the small farms and country side. Did some apple picking and checked out state college.

Amazing Hospitality

Beautiful cabin on the mountain! What a wonderful restful stay. We have used VRBO for years and this was by far the best. The owners have thought of every convenience for a relaxing stay including keurig coffee cups for morning coffee! The owners were so easy to work with that I felt like I was talking to a good friend! Will try to beat your Ms. Pac Man score next time Dale!! We have second place on Galaga! 😘

JC Homecoming

We enjoyed a long weekend at Margaret's Getaway. The pictures did not do the property justice. It was beautiful and oh so peaceful. Owners were very responsive to questions. We only wish we could have stayed longer.
