Good base for the week. Did have a couple of times people trying to get in as they thought it was part of the raptor foundation so had to have the door locked all the time. Walls are very thin so could hear the people next door snoring all night. There is a sign up in the bath room saying after 5days you get fresh linen and towels but this didnt happen, i stayed for 7nights. It would of been nice for the bin to of been emptied in that time as its a tiny bin. Room was nice and big, same with the bathroom

Very spacious room which was even better than the photos. Lovely to be so close to the Raptor Park and the free entrance that came with the room. Kitchen areas was great. Nice to have a DVD player, but need to bring own DVDs. Lovely big bathroom. Only negative was shower was very weak and hard to get a constant temperature - alterbated between freezing cold and scolding hot. Other than that a perfect stay. We would recommend

Stayed at Falcons Nest for 1 night. Very helpful staff. Spotlessly clean. Deluxe Room included a small table and chairs, 3 seater sofa, tv, hairdryer. Kitchenette included a fridge, microwave, kettle plus tableware. Comfortable bed. Very quiet location. Good value for money. Would recommend.

Room was exactly as described and extremely clean. Staff were very helpful and accomodating when checking in. The bed was very firm which wasn't great but would still recommend if you can get over this. Location was very quiet and the added extra of the owls was a beautiful bonus.

Will stay again
We had a fantastic stay, our rooms were spacious & clean. Having a kitchenette was very helpful. The free entry to the sanctuary was great value. We will definitely be visiting again.

This is a reserve for rare and threatend birds. A facinating place apart from being a very good stop-over. A very pleasant place to stay clean and quiet.

Bargain and very comfortable
Very comfortable room. I didn't realise at the time of booking that entry to the bird sanctuary was included in the booking price, so fantastic value. Very friendly and knowledgeable staff. Would definitely stay again

I stayed in room 1. Very cosy and for the price an absolute bargain. Unfortunately i didn't get time to visit the bird sanctuary as it was literally a late arrival and early departure. The only negative point was the wifi was too weak to connect to which i really needed due to there also been hardly any signal to my phone. Not a big deal really. I will however stay here again as it was excellent value.

Very good value for money, I now stay here regularly for work locally. Having a self contained unit with kitchen and en-suite is ideal, not too far a drive if you need food or drink.

Great place to stay
The room we stayed in at the Falcons nest was amazing. Everything was clean and we'll kept, check in/out was clear and easy. Staff helped us check in even though it was after their long shifts. All the staff were really friendly and helpful and there if we needed anything. The bird park was great, with different displays and talks throughout the day and free entry to those staying in the accommodation. Booked for a birthday surprise and my other half loved it, especially being able to hear the birds from our room. 5* would definitely stay again!

A hidden gem
This was a hidden gem. Spacious, very clean, neat, and comfortable, with all the basic needs well provided. Even dish cloths and a recycling bin were available. Unlike many other places, no issues with Wi-Fi signal, heating or the TV remote. Only minor drawbacks were hot-water control (where it can become extremely hot, particularly when turned off for a couple of minutes and then turned on again), and low level sound-proofing between apartments.

recommended accommodation at reasonable price
tried to pay the day before but was told dont bother pay on the day but not that this had to be done. Any way this was resolved in a very friendly and competent manner by the girl from reception who came in to take my card details and let me in. Thank you would certainly recommend staying here

Magical
A wonderfully clean setup plus a magical visit to the birds. Will definitely come back to really soak it all in again. The python was shedding off its coat … it made for a wonderful afternoon

Great space, amenities and helpful staff.
Great space, quiet and close to amenities. Good communication, but note that the check-in desk is open til 5pm - later check-in is via a key safe. Amazing to go around the Bird Sanctuary prior to it opening for the public.

A lovely 2 night break.
We had plenty of room, much better than a Hotel. Also enjoyed the added bonus of free entry to the Raptor Centre. We had room 9 which is a 2 bed appartment with double in one bedroom 2 sinles in other, Nice lounge area, Kitchen with table and chairs and large shower room. Linen clean and white

Had a brilliant stay.this is the second time down .i cant fault the place.its friendly.clean.ans comfortsble.its an idezl place for a few dsys.and you can go round the foundation park xnd look at the birds which are rare or endangered species.

Peace and quiet
Fantastic, functional room. Exactly everything we needed for our stay. Large wet room which helped massively for my mobility needs. Bed was raised and extremely comfortable. The room, kitchenette and bathroom were very clean. Peace and quiet at night and waking up to gorgeous little fur creatures ( meerkats) and a large, full of personality tortoise, puts a smile on anyone's face.

Some improvements needed
Kitchen facilities- only has toaster, microwave and kettle. Could do with moving things to move, could do with a deep clean. Cobwebs and dirty. We needed an ironing board so the receptionist organised this very swiftly and this was delivered. Barely slept during our stay as you could feel the springs through the mattress. Mentioned to staff on departure, whom apologised for this and said they would mention to owners. Great that the raptor centre is free to visit if you’re staying which my sons loved.

Peace and quiet
Great place to stay. The twin room really suited our needs and it is very quiet and peaceful. Having free access to the Raptor Foundation is an excellent bonus. Staff are very friendly and helpful. We have stayed a number of times and always had a really good time.

Quiet retreat
It was a lovely place in a very quiet surrounding, everything to hand that you need. If you are looking for a quiet get away from home situation where you are happy to look after yourself, this is ideal
