A Charming Riverside Retreat with Rustic Appeal

We had a delightful stay at this charming old cabin! The large property provided a perfect sense of seclusion while being conveniently close to the river, making it an ideal spot for relaxation.The rustic charm of the decor was a highlight for us, creating a cozy and inviting atmosphere. However, we were a bit let down by the restriction on outdoor music. While we understand the importance of being considerate to neighbors, it would have been nice to enjoy some soft music while spending time outside.The owner was exceptionally kind and helpful throughout our stay, which made our experience even better. Overall, we highly recommend this cabin for anyone looking for a peaceful getaway!

Guadalupe - warren retreat

The property has a great view, and was well suited to out group of 7 people. AC Worked wonderfully along with the bathrooms and kitchen. Lots of room for more people.

Amazing place to stay!

My family and I enjoyed staying here. The house fit all of us and was exactly what we were hoping for. The drive is absolutely beautiful and the river was a great place to get away and enjoy.

Peaceful retreat

Cabin was what we were looking for. It’s secluded away with a great outdoor area. The river is a short walk away. Place was clean, stocked, and great internet. We liked the sitting room with the deep leather couches and wood work to sit around in the evening.

Wonderful spot for a medium-sized family reunion

Sits atop the local hill, with all the amenities you might expect to need. Lovely spot, truly - especially the outdoor fire pit area.

Property was just as it is described in listing. Nicely secluded and quiet.

Enjoyed stay! Didn’t get to experience the river as it was frozen when we were there — we definitely took advantage of the fire pit and fireplace! They were enjoyed by all! The deckings were definitely a plus as we took in the surrounding views of the area! The house had essentials for making meals and laundry if needed— with a baby it was definitely used! My one complaint on this property is that it could use some updating, especially the showers and exterior wood replacement around parking. I may pickier than most , but I feel all personal items left by other renters should be removed. — that was a negative for us! I would like to experience this property again when we could enjoy time on the river!

Great View Cabin

This is our second year staying in the Hill Top Cabin. We love the location, It is close to camp pick up and Cryder's which we appreciate. The river is a ton of fun to explore on this section of the South Fork Guadalupe. The house has everything you need and has great space for outdoor entertaining.

Great property

We have stayed here several times and always have a great time. The house is clean, plenty of cooking utensils and lots of great outdoor space. Our favorite part is the river access! Quiet, rarely busy and tons of space to play in the water and explore on our kayaks. We will be back!

Family vacation

We had a good time. Really enjoyed the kayaks and our time at the river. The cabin is nicely secluded and very peaceful. We weren’t able to use the fire pit due to a burn ban which was a little disappointing, but we understood. I do have to say that something is wrong with the bed in the middle bedroom…it is not comfortable. This is a beautiful area and would come back again.

Amazing Getaway

We truly enjoyed our time at Hilltop Cabin! We've rented many VRBO rentals through the years, and we have never seen one as fully stocked with almost everything you would need away while from home. The Hilltop cabin is family friendly and the river access was private and beautiful. We were there on a hot weekend and were the only ones in the river park. The cabin is centrally located, and we were able to spend a day at Enchanted Rock/Fredericksburg area and another day at Lost Maples. Thank you for sharing this rental with us! We enjoyed our weekend!

Beautiful cabin

This cabin was absolutely amazing! Super clean, had everything you could need, lots of family games available, the balconies & outside fire pit area was perfect! The Lake was a fun little walk across the way & we really enjoyed the kayaks. All around perfect place to enjoy with your family or friends.

The property looked just like the photos. It was actually better in person. The host had a binder with check in and check out processes, directions to the near by river, and things to do in the surrounding areas. It was very helpful.
