The house was beautifully situated in a garden along the canal. Kept clean. Great kitchen. It was very nice to have the washer and dryer to use. Was as described with kayaks and 5 min paddle to see dolphins play. Kind owner was excellent with communication. Delightful stay.

A quaint getaway

After coming through the 'jungle' the property is relativeky small but bijou. Perfectly adequate fron the blue enamelled stove to supersoft sofa and the lovely wooden floor. The air-conditioning is a bit loud but we have yet to find any rental with quiet a/c. Ollie's is fine for food and beer on tap particularly the Belgian white, Fisherman's Shack is under new management but it is still a loud, friendly dive.If that is not your cup of tea then make a brew, grab a book or a rod and settle down on the dock for some peace and quiet. The fishing is fun right off the dock. Overall a nice place for a wee break.

Perfect Relaxing Getaway

Just finished a week in Hudson Florida. I was apprehensive about this. Is it because of the hurricane that had just passed through the area causing a lot of flooding damage. I was originally scheduled to stay in the smaller bungalow next door, but it was not available because of this. The owner Mary offered to put me in her property next-door and it was perfect. Very clean and quiet with a gorgeous brick stone patio outback at the canal. The bed was comfortable, and I was really pleased with my stay here. Mary was wonderful to work with and checked on me a few times while I was there. I would definitely recommend the property and intend to return myself.

Definitely a backyard oasis

This place was definitely a great stay for the price. I had 2+ me and it had a pull couch but course you felt the bar across the mattress. The bedroom was always hot even with the window ac cranked up as high as it could go. The back yard was amazing, very well shaped. I highly recommend a mosquito repellent (think I left one there, you’re welcome). The shower I just could not figure out. I would get it hot but then I pulled the lever up for the shower part and it was kind of cold/lukewarm-ish. The 2 keys for the house was a little frustrating to me. The door is just stubborn and old. I did go kayaking and saw 2 small alligators poke there head up at me in the canal headed to the gulf.

Nice quiet little hideaway to relax and get away from it all.

The property was very private and secluded in a jungle like atmosphere. Loved the landscaping with all the flowers and birds. Great access for kayak fishing in the backwaters and great restaurants for seafood. We will definitely try and come back sometime.

Great kayaking spot!

Loved the location for kayaking. Launch attached to dock makes kayak entry/exit super easy. Clear shallow water for seeing fish and short paddle to the open Gulf. Nice secluded tropical surroundings in quiet neighborhood. Nearby seafood restaurants with reasonable prices and many parks and preserves to explore.

Had an enjoyable time here despite being cut short by the hurricane. Property is secluded with tropical trees in a quiet neighborhood. I would recommend this place for a relaxing vacation.

Cute low key cottage on the lagoon

The property was very unique and fun with the landscaping and plants in the yard. canoe and kayaks with fishing right off floating dock or a shirt trip around the lagoon towards the Inlet. If you're looking for a nice little hideaway for a few days or more, check this out!
