Love Sunsets? Glory in a natural, cozy, rustic setting

  • Esta cabaña es un tesoro familiar. Construido como la cabaña de vacaciones original en Island Lane, camino creado por mi papá (profesor retirado de UVA) hace cuarenta y tantos años. Excelente ubicación en Smith Mountain Lake. Justo en el canal principal adyacente al marcador de lago R-8 donde se encuentran los ríos Roanoke y Blackwater. La vista expansiva del lago con exquisitas puestas de sol son suyas para tomar. Mire el lago desde cualquier dirección de la ventana, mire hacia el lago desde la cubierta (como en un bote, y podría salir al agua) y solo unos pocos pasos más abajo lo llevarán a un muelle privado estacionario, donde se pueden estacionar los botes. Unos pasos más arriba de la cubierta superior lo llevarán a vistas perfectas de los fuegos artificiales del 4 de julio desde Saunders Parkway Marina.

This is a lovely old-fashioned lake home. It was clean, comfortable and had terrific views. The lake was very low during our visit but the sunsets from the deck were still beautiful.

The house is absolutely perfect. From the minute you walk in it feels peaceful and relaxing. The house has everything you need. The deck is great and the view of the lake is beautiful. It doesn’t get any better.

Wish we had one more day! If we did not have to be back to teach children church on Sunday we definitely would have left Sunday. It is a perfect place for a quick, short vacation to getaway from the city and enjoy the beauty of Gods creation.

The SML views and access to the lake from the dock were what brought us back to this rental for our second stay. Jumping off the dock, kayaking, just floating and swimming, and the Amazing sunsets were…as my granddaughter said, “This is what vacation is all about!” Laura was very quick with her responses to any questions and went out of her way to ensure everything went smoothly. New AC units definitely kept us cool! Slept great in the beds. Kitchen and bathroom well stocked. We will definitely book again!

Host is amazing! Very responsive to communication. House is in a beautiful location, very quaint and quiet. Went for a fishing tournament And plan on going back year after year.

My husband and his friend stayed at Laura‘s house for a fishing tournament. They said everything was great! The house was meticulously clean and very comfortable, with everything they needed. And the views were amazing.

Awesome place! Great vuews, great weather access, great SUP's that come with. So glad I got to enjoy it. BUT NO sheet nor towels certainly did not make it the paradise I expected. Simple hygiene really.

Just as the rental name says, "Love Sunsets?" had the best sunsets ever! The unit was spotlessly cleaned and had many things that made one feel so at home.

Great private spot

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The deck and dock were our favorite hang outs! Sunsets delivered as promised! Definitely recommend this place if you are looking for a quiet relaxing getaway
