My Villa stay

The property was marvelous, very clean, roomy and a private location. It is not to far from the hustle and bustle in Hua Hin. The owners were only a phone call away if you needed anything, they were very pleasant hosts and I thoroughly enjoyed my stay. I highly recommend it.

Tranquil Villa

Beautifully presented villa, on a very well maintained peaceful estate. The owners are delightful and nothing is too much trouble. One of the A/C units stopped working in the sitting room and was replaced the following day. If you don’t hire a car/bike , the cost of a taxi into the centre of Hua Hin is THB 350, we also downloaded Grab, the Thai equivalent of Uber and a Grab Taxi cost THB 130 to the local Makro store. Several local restaurants will deliver meals to your door, which is great when you are out all day and just want to relax. Plenty of seating and dining areas outside the villa. Great TV and movie network. The two cats are delightful and absolutely no bother. I would definitely recommend this villa for couples and families.

Well equipped villa in well maintained, quiet, secure complex.

The villa is well equipped and comfortable. It is located in a quiet area around 20 minutes north of downtown Hua Hin, within a well maintained, secure complex, with a beautiful big community pool. The gym is small, but functional. The community cafe is more of an admin base and sells only water and coke, but there are plenty of small shops nearby. It is easy to walk to the shops and to the nearest restaurants (if you are active). The nearest restaurant is Nr Nice (20 min walk) - he sells the best mango smoothie in Hua Hin! A 5 minute drive will take you down into the local community area, with a 7/11 shop and a host of local thai stalls and shops. A further 5 minutes will take you to a big Makro store for all grocery shopping. If you like yoga, there is a yoga studio close to Makro which offers a great variety of classes (Triyoga). The location of the villa means that you really need a car or scooters to get around. We hired a car on arrival, but would recommend you do this in advance to get the best deal and ensure availability. The roads are easy to navigate, and parking was simple as there are few restrictions in Thailand! The hosts (John & Martin) were excellent in their communication, and were present to greet us on arrival and at departure. During our stay, a fan broke and was replaced immediately by the hosts. We enjoyed the feline company of Jitters and Tigger.......such lovely cats! However both cats spend a lot of time outside, so don't be concerned if you are not a cat lover! All in all, the villa offers a lovely, quiet space to rest, while exploring the local area. It is good value for money and John & Martin are great hosts!

Very nice place and extremely nice landlords

Nice and clean house, 3 bedrooms each with its own bathroom and a great pool. Very quiet area, but still in a good distance to downtown. You need transportation though. Hiring a car, motorcycle or use a taxi to get to town. We stayed there with our Teenage daughters, and even they enjoyed the time :-). Not to forget the two cats are very sweet. They stayed outside unless you wanted them to come in.

Great 8 night stay

Lovely 3 bedroom villa, friendly owners made check in easy. Well stocked kitchen had everything needed to eat at home. Original plan had been to use the villa as a base and go to eat in Hua Him most nights. In fact stayed in every one of the 8 nights and cooked or BBQd. Fresh and very cheap fish and meat available from nearby Macro and all the Thai herbs, spices, veggies and fresh eggs from the ladies under the plastic awnings opposite the nearby 7/11. Didn't have a car but would get a bike next time. Used Willie the recommended taxi guy for trips to the beach. He was reliable and helpful. Pool is large and kept spotless by a pool and yard cleaner who comes every couple of days. Pool has a jacuzzi. Used the gym at the development, it has everything needed. Wifi good speed too. Enjoyed the stay very much Thanks John and Martin

Very relaxing week

We had a very pleasant stay at this beautiful Villa. John and Martin were perfect hosts, and we fehlt home right from the start . Our children loved the pool- and our skin too, because it is salty, no chlorine. John and Martin recommended Wille as a driver - a very good choice, since he was very reliable and helpful. He even drove us on his birthday evening to the bus station. All together we had a wonderful and quiet week, eagerly needed to calm down after a few days in Bangkok and to start relaxing.

Great Family Stay

We had a wonderful stay at the villa. The three large bedrooms with nice attached bathrooms were plenty for our group of 6. The kitchen was sufficiently equipped for cooking meals for my daughter. The pool is beautiful. As mentioned in the other reviews, transportation is needed to get to places in Hua Hin. John and Martin are lovely people and hosts. They helped us secure a great driver (Willy) with a van perfect for our group.

A wonderful place

I stayed there for three weeks. The house was wonderful. The kitchen had everything. The private house pool was a good size, and the community pool was huge. The gym was adequate. I enjoyed the quietness. If you do stay here, you are going to need transportation - taxi, rental car, or rental scooter. The vacation was very relaxing. I had no issues with the stay. When I had a question, I would email John and he would respond promptly. He knew the locations of where to go for anything. He gave me a GREAT location to walk/exercise which was the viewpoint . I ate the local food, but there are plenty of places to eat European food. You are about a 10-15 minute drive from downtown Hua Hin depending on traffic. The two cats (Tigger and Jitters) at the house are wonderful pets. They are extremely friendly and they are not needy. I would recommend this place to a friend.

Super clean, very comfortable beds and sofas. Excellent entertainment selection of TV/Music/Films provided. Fabulous pool with plenty of seating. Sweet cats! The resort is quiet and calm but only a 5 minute drive to the main road. Lovely green views of trees from the pool.

Spacious Villa suitable for family and groups

This villa is absolutely perfect for family and groups. Spacious, comfortable and fully furnished. 3 good sized en-suite bedrooms, a huge living area (compared to living in a HK ‘shoe box’), fully equipped kitchen and the most important.... saltwater pool with jacuzzi. Only 3 of us, one room each, super comfy bed we all sleep like a ‘starfish’. John and Martin were absolutely the best hosts I've ever met. They sent us instructions to get to the villa, however, we did a ticky tour before we arrived in Hua Hin and didn’t arrive until almost 9pm. Martin was happy to meet us on the main road with his motor scooter and guide us to the villa. Without Martin guiding us I don't think we can get to the villa on our own in the dark. John and Martin had already filled up the fridge with drinks, fruits and snacks and some cleaning essential stuff for us to use. They also showed us around the property and provided lots of local information (maps etc). The Villa is not walking distance to the city centre, but if you have your own vehicle It’s a perfect place for your Hua Hin holiday - quiet, peaceful and relaxed. We found the best spot to have shower is outdoors by the poolside because the water pressure is quite low inside and only allows for one shower working at a time. We stayed 3 nights and exceeded our electricity allowance and had to pay an extra 1200 Baht upon check out. We only used the air-conditioning at night. But we worked out one of the air-con in the bedroom is not working, properly out of gas and we left it on. Hopefully we will get some discount of that for our re-visit ^@^ Overall, it is a good experience to live in a house rather than hotel room.

Beautiful Hua Hin Villa

The Villa is very well appointed and I doubt if you would need something that has not already been provided by the owners. My children enjoyed the stay so much that they asked if we can return on their next school break which I hope to do. They obviously really enjoyed the pool and jacuzzi. It is a short commute to the main road into Hua Hin town centre with access to all the attractions but there are also local restaurants if that is your preference. I would highly recommend this holiday villa.

Peace and quiet with action close by.

A picture paints a thousand words and the pictures for this villa are worthy of those thousand words. I will try not to bore you with irrelevant waffle suffice it to say the villa is a homely well equipped property where anyone should find the type of holiday they are looking for. Whether you want peace and quiet or action the location is good, yes the beach and centre are 15 minutes away (350 baht taxi) but it adds to the experience. The owners Martin and John, down to earth genuine people with a lot of character are just a phone call away if needed. There were a couple of technical/maintenance issues whilst we were in residence but minor and were being rectified. The private pool was excellent (cleaned three times whilst we were there), a great area for children and adults alike and very private. Cooking/kitchen facilities okay but when the nearby local restaurants are so inexpensive and you are on holiday why bother cooking. There was a good choice of films available on the entertainment system but uk dvd's will not de-code on the player, only a problem if you want to waste time in front of a tv screen. The Club House with its large swimming pool, restaurant and gymnasium is well worth visiting and is only a 5 minute stroll through the complex. All in all we had a great time and would highly recommend this villa as a base. I would not hesitate to stay here again.

Home from Home

We found our hosts Martin and John to be attentive and helpful in arranging our airport transport and answering any questions we had prior to our stay. Upon arrival at their villa they were both friendly, welcoming and great hosts making us feel right at home immediately. On walking us through the property I was relieved to see that all the reviews were correct, the property was clean, comfortably furnished, well thought out with two beautiful outside areas both front and the back of the property to enjoy. Our children loved the saltwater pool, which is a good size to play in as a family, and so much kinder on little eyes than a chlorine pool. The surrounding area was decked out with loungers and umbrellas to relax by the pool. One bonus for us was Tigger and Jitters the resident cats. When missing our pets from home they were nice company and my son enjoyed taking responsibility for feeding them and making sure they had plenty of strokes each day. They were a great addition to our stay. We would wholeheartedly recommend this property to others who are looking for a relaxing, comfortable stay and hope to stay ourselves again in the future.

A spacious comfortable house with wow factor outside areas.

The property is in a gated community outside of Hua Hin, and for us it was a little too far. We hadn't realised beforehand that this is John and Martin's main home, so they move out when visitors come. I'm not sure we would have chosen it had we known this in advance. On the plus side, the outside areas of the villa are really lovely - there are several different sitting areas, and it is beautifully kept, with the pool being cleaned every other day. The house itself we would describe as comfortable, rather than luxurious. John and Martin were very helpful and popped round often, and the cats were very cute!

We had a great stay in the villa of John and Martin.Great house with nice swimming pool. God owners who made sure we were doing well.15 minutes by taxi to Hua Hin. Some local resturants who had take away good food. Can really reccomend this house.

Very nice!

Hua Hin is a nice place to be and the villa even more. We got what we expected, a villa with pool, three bedrooms, air condition… But additionally a very friendly and professional service from the owners (by renting motor cycles, finding restaurants and so on. Always available for questions and support!). The villa itself is clean and furnished like a home, that made as fell like at home from the first moment on. We will be back!

This villa was absolutely perfect in every way, a comfortable and stylish home from home.

This is a beautiful villa, stylish, well thought out and comfortable.. it was very obvious that this is first and foremost John and Martin's home rather than an impersonal holiday let and that care shines through. It is in a really peaceful position at the edge of the compound, but close by car or bike to plenty of local life. We had a fantastic time, the cats were a delight, proper outdoor characters that adopted us for cuddles and strokes. The whole place was perfectly equipped, especially the provision of a mobile phone.. do order take away from the nearby restaurants.. great food and fantastic value. We also used Willie (via John and Martin) to drive us to many places, he was great fun and quite reasonably priced but above all reliable.. it made the holiday so much more relaxing. He even organised our Bangkok transfer at either end of the holiday. This really is a top quality villa, and is exactly as the pictures and details portray, it is very peaceful and comes with the added bonus of some fantastic people who are there if you need them but leave you well alone to enjoy the splendour of this property.. We have stayed in many luxury properties around the world but this outstanding.

Loved it, modern, warm, inviting, detail put in to make it a tropical paradise to escape to!

Both hosts john/Martin looked after everything we needed, some wonderful touches like a preprogrammed phone to help you with transfers and taxis really allow you worry free holidaying,four bikes on site allowed our family to make the most of the local area! As I have said the property is a holiday oasis which should not be missed, under priced in my opinion ! Hosts are great and a local link to their friend Willie is such a great idea to enable you to experience the tropical countryside , enabling you by day to really switch off if you want, but just a call away you can get to all of the local spots at a great price with the local knowledge thrown in! In my opinion if you are after the best of both worlds, luxury high end accommodation coupled with rural peace and tranquility, but still want to get a taste of all the local culture by day or night you should look no further as you have found what you are looking for with this property as you get all that and the support of the hosts!

Lovely Villa

We really enjoyed our time at the villa. The pool was a godsend, and beautifully maintained. The weather is very humid and hot in July (we knew that), but the pool made it bearable. We swam every day! The house was clean and all the details of our stay were taken care of by John and Martin. They even provided a place to call for delivery Thai food. Very thoughtful! We loved having the cats around to greet us when we came back everyday from exploring Thailand.

Great villa, great owners that really care.

We loved everything about our stay at this villa. It is perfect for 4 adults and 2 kids or 3 couples. The description and pictures summed it up perfectly and we pretty much lived on the outside veranda and the kids in the pool. The "care pack" of fruit, cereals, milk, bread and some drinks when you arrive just makes everything so much easier for the first evening and is a great touch. The 2 pussycats are just so friendly and really add to the home from home feeling you get being here. Distance from town is a very slight downside but Tugtugs are easy to find coming home and John and Martin have a good friend that runs a taxi service when you want to go out. We rented a car (very cheap by European standards) but you could also rent scooters if you were more adventurous. The nearest restaurant and shops are a bit of a walk but there are bikes for cycling if you can stand the exercise in the sun. Thanks again to John and Martin for allowing us to rent your villa and for your great caring attitude which just added to a great holiday.

The best Villa we have ever stayed in !

If you are looking to stay in the Hua Hin Area - stop your search & book this villa now. Spacious, spotlessly clean, luxurious, fully equipped and a beautiful large swimming pool. We enjoyed great communication with the owners (John & Martin) in the run up to our holiday & they kindly organised our transfer from the airport to the villa. On arrival the owners met us & gave us a tour of the property. Both were extremely friendly & knowledgeable on the area. We hired a car but if that isn't your scene a friendly local taxi driver called Willie is on hand for tours & trips into town. The villa is situated approx. 10-15 minutes from Hua Hin. There are quite a number of nice local restaurants nearby together with a little 7/11 supermarket. (Find the large supermarkets in Hua Hin - Tesco Lotus is superb). Hua Hin is small enough to get to grips with very quickly - lots of nice restaurants, buzzing day & night markets, bars & shops. The Hilton Sky Bar for cocktails & Dim Sum is a must! Interestingly, people are not always hassling you like in Bangkok, so it is very relaxed. A short drive west (away from the coast) and you are into the mountains - beautiful scenery, waterfalls, elephants etc. Would I recommend this villa? No - I would insist that you book it! We had a fantastic time there.

Spacious, Private and Flexible

John and Martin are excellent hosts and very friendly and welcoming with nothing being too much trouble. We had a very lazy holiday in Hua Hin as a family of 5 - the villa is very restful, very private and well equipped. There is also a large communal pool at the club-house, which offers some variation. The restaurants locally are very good and we chose to eat mainly out - which is both good value and less hassle! The local guide - Willie - introduced to us by John and Martin was very accommodating, very well organised and always there to help. Hua Hin itself is great - the markets particularly - although the local hotels tend to dominate any beach access, there is still plenty to get to. While Willie was very helpful, I recommend that if you would like to be active in the locale, then a car hire (both cheap and reliable) is a good idea. Scooter Hire is also possible (and for the active, John and Martin even supply push bikes!) but we suggest that you observe and decode local road rules before jumping in! All in all - a fantastic holiday with enough to do locally for a family or even a small group. We recommend this place heartily!

Lovely villa with all the mod cons you could hope for to set you up for a very relaxing holiday

We were highly influenced in booking this villa by all the previous positive reviews - rest assured they are accurate. The listing description was totally as we found the villa. John and Martin could not have possibly been more wonderful hosts. They offered to arrange transfers for us from our previous hotel in Pattaya. They were there to meet us when we arrived (and the villa was very generously stocked with a welcome pack to get through the first night until we could shop the next day), and explained how things worked (eg Satellite "expat TV" with a plethora of English language options, internet, jacuzzi operation etc). They also recommended the driver service of a friend of theirs, Wille, who was extremely professional and organised all our travel arrangements for us at prices equal to what you could find on the streets, and he spoke excellent English. The villa comes with a mobile phone so you can call John/Martin/Wille, or order take away (which can be delivered). Very handy for any overseas visitors who don't want to incur roaming charges. John & Martin were close enough that if we needed them, they'd pop over in no time, but otherwise they left us to ourselves. Once we called for advice on how to get our daughter's ear infection best attended to. How's this for going the extra mile - Martin took my husband down on his moped to a chemist to pick up some antibiotics! We'd had 9 days in the eyebrow raising town of Pattaya, so the purpose of this villa location for us was a quiet wind-down before we flew home. It was the perfect choice. Most days we hung around the villa for the day, swimming in the pool, reading books or watching a movie, then called Wille and headed into town about 5ish to check out one of the night markets and have dinner. The villa has 2 cats who I'm pleased to say survived my 9 year old son stalking, picking up & playing with at every opportunity. Cicada market was great option of cheap food stalls that you felt safe eating (we're pretty cautious about eating street food when travelling, but this was clearly clean & hygenic). Also the night market. We ate at Bird Chilli - located within the night market itself. Great seafood. Vana Nava Water Park Hua Hin was a hit with the whole family - we spent nearly a whole day there. go on a week day. Thank you John & Martin for such a lovely visit. We felt very welcome. See you next time we're in Hua Hin!

Just a 3* Villa, not a Luxury Villa

We had our stay at this Villa in March 2016. Our expectations to come in a 5* Villa have not been satisfied. The Villa is 8-10 years old and all equipment around and in the Villa looks very "used". There is an urgent need to renew dishwasher, washing machine, bed and sun-bed mattresses and also sanitary fittings. Cleaning and pool service was quite poor. The area around the pool has been never cleaned in our time and therefore results dirty feet when walking barefoot. One of the showers/toilets smelled incredible when you have showered so that you have to escape the room. After 7 days owners cleaned the drain and odur stopped. All these impressions should normally justfied a refund of a part of our rent-payment, but what we have got is a reduction of our damage deposit due to the fact, that we have damage two glases of the anyway very poor equipped outfitting of glases in the Villa. The cats at the villa are a matter of taste, if you like to sit at the same place where the cats are sleeping and sometimes you will find bloody parts of their killed preys at your dinner patio. We have been several times in Phuket at really 5* Villas before we have rent this Villa, so we can compare what we have seen. John and Martin are very nice and helpful guys, but we just can recommend the Villa as a 3* and not a Luxury Villa. All in all we have played nice Golf courses around Hua Hin and had wonderful days at the Beaches and we are now very relaxed back in cold Germany.
