"We had a lovely stay, the room was clean and very comfortable. The owner allowed us to have a late check in, as we were stuck in traffic on the way down. The breakfast was delicious and we were grateful for the dinner recommendation and parking tips. Thank you."

"The gruff owner needs to realise that she is in the hospitality business, not doing you a favour by allowing you to stay at her hotel. I stayed there for 8 nights and had the following inconveniences: Breakfast was not provided the first day, even though I had paid for it (“I’m not starting to do breakfasts again until tomorrow”); my room was not cleaned on Sunday (“the chambermaid doesn’t work on Sundays”); the first time I used the shower all kinds of black bits of dirt and fungus came out of...

"A comfortable and peaceful property with breakfast: homemade jams, marmalade, fruits and individually cooked. A thoughtful host and beautiful garden in the heart of Sussex countryside, five minutes' drive from a historic village pub which serves excellent food and wine and is also popular with locals. Very handy for the many houses, castles and gardens open to the public in Sussex. Perfect for us to escape the noise and crowds of the seaside towns after days sightseeing and visiting friends....

"Lovely little lodge, nice & clean, had everything we needed for a one night stay. Great view from the the lodge overlooking the countryside & very peaceful. The instructions were easy to follow & the grounds of the lodge & main house were beautiful. Walking distance to a nice pub for food. We didn't meet the owners as it's a self check in & out."
