In Houston to see daughter graduate. Wanted 1 space for the family to gather before and after events, to prepare simple meals without eating out for every meal, close to everything.
Because only 1500 characters, I can't go into details, so here is the meat:
Location was FABULOUS. Clean neighborhood, walking was good, quick drive to downtown. The complex was nice, secure with the security gate. Had to get out of car each time to open the gate with passcode before we could drive in.
Downside - 1 spoon for our 6 guests. Tin skillet/cookware. Filter was out on refrigerator, bought our water. Toilets had POOR water pressure. Had to plunge for ANY and EVERY flush. Batteries out on remote and thermostat, we had to replace in order to adjust temp and use TV. The 'premium sofa' was 2 college dorm-like futons. I had my abdominal contents push up in my chest when I sat down, it was so hard. Mattress in Primary BR was uncomfortable, but so were the futons, so we told the 6th person to go to a hotel. the queen bed with twin was actually just 2 twins. There is no way 10 people could sleep here COMFORTABLY. Master shower was nice, but we only had 4 towels for 6 reserved guests. Had to go out and get additional towels and toiletries. Plenty of washcloths. Lots of containers of shampoo, but no conditioner or lotion.
BLUF - ok for college bros needing a place to crash after a night of drinking and debauchery, but definitely not for a relaxing, comfortable family trip. 6/10
