We had such a great time swimming in the lake! Owls nest was super cute and clean loved all the owl paintings! Also Loved the sun sets over the water :)

Lovely place on the lake!The views were amazing, plenty of places to sit and watch the sunset. The house was lacking for nothing. There were wonderful instructions on how to use everything I can’t wait to come back.

Awesome location

This is the perfect location if you want to stay and fish for a few days. Boat house is awesome and the boat ramp is right down the road.

Perfect

We wanted a simple place to relax - this was perfect. Tucked in a quiet spot, right on the lake. Great decks and sitting areas. Host made it as comfortable as needed and everything we didn’t pack was available. Perfect for 2 people and our large dog.

Excellent location

Wonderful place for a small family. Our pet had ample, secure space to play. Covered boat slip with power lift worked very well with 19' bass boat.

Very relaxing

The house was perfect. We loved relaxing on the deck, bird watching, fishing, kayaking, playing games and chilaxing. Our dog loved all the toys, shaded grassy area and swimming. It was the perfect getaway to sign off the summer before school.

The host went above and beyond for us and was exceptionally kind and helpful with everything we could have asked for. This property is great for those who like to kayak and the sun deck is fantastic for great views and hanging out!:)

Great fishing hideaway property on Lake Houston

Very responsive host. It was great working with Jennifer. Lake house was as advertised with very nice deck, dock, and kayaks. Very dog friendly with fenced yard, dog toys and feed/water bowls. We enjoyed the fire pit and grill. Lake house was very clean, modern, and comfortable.

Beautiful property!

The "Owl's Nuest" was a beautiful property! The kayaks added to the whole experience and they were very easy to get into the water. Overall very updated, clean, and well kept. Will definitely schedule another trip back!!

Ac didn’t work in the living room and kitchen. We contacted the host and they were slow to respond and didn’t get it fixed or offer any relevant solutions. It was well over 90 degrees out so ac not working is a big deal.

Amazing time!

This was the best decision I could have made. Had an amazing time with my 3 year old son for Father’s Day weekend! Full of laughs and smiles. He love the kayaks supplied and the amazing fishing opportunities. Would definitely do it again

Lake house get away

Hosts were wonderful! They answered all our questions quickly and worked very hard to make sure we had a relaxing family get together. . The home was clean and had plenty had plenty of towels. The dock was a wonderful place for bird watching. We had booked this stay before all the storms in the Houston are (which caused our home to w/o power for 6 days), the lake house was a relaxing home away from home ….with AC.

Nice home

I love their kayak boats. There are 3 of them that are actively being used. We have a lot of fun on the water. There is also game station that my kids enjoyed. The separated deck allows us to enjoy the lake and I did yoga and meditation there. There is also fishing gear my husband can use. We haven’t had enough time to try the bikes, but it’s readily available. Internal is clean. I love the lake view by the dinning area. This home served all needs for my family. It would be a great get away place for Houstonian

Spring Break at Lake Houston

Overall, we had a great stay at this Lake Houston property for our family’s spring break trip (my wife, our 8-year-old daughter, and myself). I gave it a 5-star rating overall. The house was clean, the check-in process was smooth, and communication with the property manager was excellent.The listing was mostly accurate, though we ran into a couple of small issues: the stove didn’t work the first day, but it was quickly repaired by friendly local folks, and there were some key discrepancies. The neighborhood was a bit rougher than expected from the photos, with some rundown homes and barking dogs, but it’s clearly an up-and-coming area and not a dealbreaker.The paddle boat and brand-new kayaks were a highlight, though lowering the boat ramp was very loud. The gear locker was messy (I helped tidy it up), and while they offered bikes, they were in poor condition and needed maintenance or replacement. The washer and dryer were a nice bonus, as were the fire pit and access to firewood. We also appreciated being offered use of the neighboring property in exchange for a few helpful favors.All in all, it was a fun and relaxing stay, with a few minor hiccups, but nothing that would deter us from coming back. With a few updates, especially to the bikes and gear area, this could be a five-star listing all around.

Make sure to take pictures

The owner was awesome the place was great we truly enjoyed. Tips for the future the owner should let the neighbors know that they are having people stay that will have an event. Also be sure to take pictures upon arrival and when you leave. The cleaning lady made our leave really bad as if we really stole or broke and trashed the place. I have pictures of the outdoors when we left and not the inside but I did a due diligence of not leaving it a mess for the cleaning person. I washed the dishes and left them in the sink to dry she told the owner the dishes were dirty, that we didnt fix the pillows on the couch and that we stole a vase that we removed and put in the second guess room so it wouldnt get damaged. We swept took out all the trash and also put the sheets in the laundry as requested. The cleaning lady said we left lots of laundry. 5 people stayed for 2 days that was expected. And if there is a cleaning fee then the cleaning lady is to clean we didnt wipe off every surface thoroughly but had I known it was our job to thoroughly clean i would have question the need for a cleaning lady. Things were already broken upon arrival such as the ice tray which wasnt used we brought our own ice. Also the shower floor was damaged and the door know was loose but the place is a little aged and updated so those things seemed to be normal. The wind must have blown pillows in the lake when we left but they were not there when we left. I have pictures of the lake and the yard.
