Excellent and quaint
Loved this little bungalow find. We are actually staying there again this month for our next MD Anderson appointments. Very clean and in order, comfortable bed, all the kitchen amenities you need, washer and dryer and a large fridge. Definitely recommend.

Overall the place was nice and comfortable and clean. My only suggestion would be to make sure the Air conditioner is clean. It smelled kinda musty moldy when it was working. Loved the Southwestern decor.

Cute
Cute little back house. Have to haul your stuff from car down long driveway. Only parking on street. Not handicap access. Couch pullout mattress is really thin, not usable. Big bed in bedroom was so cozy. Kitchen had everything you needed. Even a little Keurig. Which I wish I would have know, I wouldn't have brought mine. Anyway, cute as pie. We would definately stay again.

Casita perfection
This property is quiet, tucked behind a home in a beautiful neighborhood. Cozy and creative decorating with personal touches (dog art!) and close to amazing plant stores & food. Many of the residents walking dogs greet you kindly. Will stay here again!!!

Beautiful Neighborhood
Cute little casita that definitely covered the basics. Great communication with the owner, Janet. The two window/wall AC units worked great but we had to open the door and windows to get rid of the musty smell when we arrived. Full kitchen with pantry basics but oddly, only one coffee mug and no coffee. There are several markets and restaurant within easy walking distance. (Don’t miss The Pit Room.) Enjoyed drinking our morning coffee at the outdoor table. At this very reasonable price, if you’re not expecting luxury, you’ll enjoy your stay.

Especially if you are spending time in the Montrose neighborhood this is a reliable choice. It isn't difficult to find street parking, the neighborhood is close to many interesting shops and restaurants and the fact that there is an HEB within walking distance makes self-catering easy.

Very nice location
We absolutely loved the location. Very safe neighborhood for walking, and walking to restaurants or grocery. The Casita was comfortable and was very close to what we were expecting. The owners were very responsive when we had questions and were quick to take care of a few small issues. We stayed for three weeks and would consider staying there again.

Great location, nice bungalow, well-appointed except for sleeper sofa
This cottage is lovely... very nice décor, well supplied with amenities, and an outstanding location for restaurants and museums. The only downside worth mentioning is that the sofa bed description is not accurate. I slept in the bed and the mattress was certainly not memory foam. The mattress was thin (3 - 4 inches) with pronounced spring coils and pretty uncomfortable overall. My friend said the regular bed was very comfortable, so as long as you don't need the sofa bed, the place would be ideal.

Good deal in a great neighborhood
This was a comfortable place for us us to stay for the four nights we were in Houston. For most of the time we were there, we walked everywhere. We had the perfect location. The place had what we needed, even a spot to set up the laptop. We cooked almost all of our own meals. Couldn't have been better!

We enjoyed our weekend in this sweet little casita. We could easily walk to restaurants and stores. The casita is stocked with everything you need and the property manager is great at communicating with you. Definitely recommend!!

Restful Retreat
Perfect little Casita in a quiet dog friendly neighborhood walking distance from HEB, restaurants, cafés, and shops. The Casita is also really close to the medical center so it made getting to my appointment super easy. The property was clean and neat and was the perfect setting for a restful getaway.

Great base for exploring Montrose and beyond
This casita was so great! It's bigger than we thought from photos and was a great base for walking to shops, restaurants, bars and the Menil gallery. Street parking is easy and access to the highway doesn't take long. We wish we had one more day!

Little Gem in Montrose
The casita had everything we needed to be comfortable: a good kitchen with coffee makers, excellent climate control, fast internet, a full-size dining table, comfy bed, and plenty of seating. An extremely short walk to HEB and the Menil, and the neighborhood is tree-lined and quiet.

Perfect for me and my stay
Thank you so much. What a lovely casita! The location was perfect for me to ride my bicycle everywhere I planned to go. The place was so clean and welcoming. I enjoyed all the unique elements of the space and all of the amenities. It felt like I was staying at a relatives house. So thankful I found this place and it was available and in my budget. Hopefully, it's available the next time I visit downtown Houston.

Southwestern Style Cottage!
Sweet property. Reservations were a breeze, I made a mistake on arrival date and that was fixed with ease. Great location, lovely old tree lined neighborhood with grocery, restaurants and pharmacy super close. All in all a really good stay.

We stayed on Aug 24 - Aug 27 The casita was cleaned and the property manager was nice to accommodate us late at night, we were just asked to be quite when arriving which we were. I would only suggest 2 things. We had to park on the street and walk to the end of the building to the casita, I think that the casita should get the parking on the side of the main house and also they need to update the sofa bed mattress. But all and all, we have a very pleasant stay. Thanks

Perfect Spot!
The Casita was perfect for my stay. Janet was lovely throughout the process. As a Houstonian now living out of state, you couldn’t ask for a better location! It’s is within walking distance and a short driving distance to some great Houston eating spots. The neighborhood is safe with quite a few people walking their dogs early in the morning or in the evening. I highly recommend. Have a full size fridge and washer/dryer was an added bonus since I there for about a week. Would stay here again for sure!

The property was clean , nicely appointed in Sant Fe style furnishings and a great location for me being to access freeways. Convenient to bars, restaurants and an HEB grocery. LaCasita was fully furnished including washer/dryer and full kitchen. Scotties also loved it. This is my new Houston base.

Nice overall but a few shortcomings
LGBTQ+ human here! Okay so me & my gf were nervous to staying in Tx for the weekend so I messaged them to ask if they’re cool with the gays and their response passed the test. Idk how supportive they actually are of our community BUT honestly we felt safe there so that was first priority. And that neighborhood is supposed to be one of the Gay hoods so it was OKAY for TX. So this place is also super cute with easy parking (we didn’t have a car) but it’s a residential street filled with parking. Great for a short stay but if you can’t handle the sight of cockroaches this may not be the place for you. Disclaimer: it was clear to us that the owner is working on a solution & was using some sort of bug repellant because every one we witnessed were basically dead. It made me a little paranoid but definitely didn’t ruin our trip! =) One other thing, I asked if it was okay to drink the tap water and the response I got was “sure” which made me nervous about drinking it so we didn’t. They had a few water bottles out & a small tank of water in the fridge so I would recommend asking about the water situation. JUST TO BE CLEAR, I never clarified or followed up with the “sure” message so that could be me being paranoid about the water haha!

Well first of all Jace, I am gay. I really don't understand your paranoia about about being safe and drinking the water. I said sure you can drink the water but bottled water was there. I don't drink it but it's safe to drink. Dead roaches in Texas is a good sign. Live roaches are bad. That just must be a regional problem. Do you look some certain way that makes you feel unsafe? I got that you might.

Great spot for single or couple
Loved the neighborhood and the place has a lot of charm. We were there without a car and it worked great—easy walk to restaurants, 3 blocks to grocery store, longer but doable walk to museum district. If considering using LR pull-out couch for 3rd guest, consider that the route to bathroom is through the bedroom and there’s a thin bi-fold door. We’d stay here again.

We were very pleased with every aspect of this property. The setting was a beautiful neighborhood and the house was adorable. The location was only 10 minutes from doctor's office. We booked again in 3 weeks when we come back to the doctor.

Awesome stay!
Little guest house that was very comfortable and had a homey atmosphere. Location is amazing! Everything you could want is no more than 15 minutes away. Definitely no more than 20 minutes. It's located in the middle of everything you could ask for. Me and my friends definitely enjoyed our stay. Would recommend!

Casita at Montrose
If you have allergies this is not the place for you. The air conditioning is window units and they don't run when unit is empty. Consequently there is a problem with a smell of mildew. My husband could not handle more than one night and we had to move to a hotel. Also the bed is super soft and we ended up rolling to the center all night. Other than that it was a really charming place in a great location.

Cozy carriage house in nice neighborhood
Two of us stayed a long weekend at this property in the Montrose neighborhood in Houston, and we enjoyed it. It was clean and well decorated and the property owner is gracious and very attentive. This cute little place has everything a couple would need. Really appreciate the coffee in the kitchen!

Love this little casita. The location is in the area we love, close to everything we want to do and who we want to visit. Such a well laid out space that it doesn’t feel to small and there are lots of welcoming touches that made this such a great stay with great hosts. We’ll be back!
