Come and relax at the Refuge at beautiful Reelfoot Lake!

  • The Refuge is the perfect weekend getaway on beautiful Reelfoot Lake. She has excellent views of the sunset, great fishing, hunting and birdwatching opportunities. There are several restaurants and public boat ramps and fishing piers as close as 1/4 mile from the Refuge.

    The Refuge is a clean, neat single-wide mobile home situated directly across from a cove of the lake with native grasses and cypress trees framing the lake like a picture out of a magazine. The porch overlooks the lake toward the west which makes for excellent sunset views. One of the bedrooms faces the lake too which allows you to enjoy the sunsets in the comfort of air conditioning or heated space.

    The Reelfoot Lake area boasts plenty of great restaurants, fantastic wildlife viewing, lake tours, guided fishing and hunting opportunities and is located approximately 20 miles from the famous Discovery Park in Union City, TN.

    Come stay with us at the Refuge and enjoy the breathtaking views that nature has to offer at Reelfoot Lake. The Refuge sleeps 7 and is one of the best values in lodging per person the lake has to offer.

We loved The Refuge. We just came down for a weekend fishing trip with our boys, But it would be so perfect for someone who wants to come down with a group of friends, as there's plenty of twin beds. We loved it and would definitely stay again.

Brandon was an excellent host, very communicative, friendly, and responsive. The Refuge was perfectly located with a gorgeous view and everything we needed for a relaxing weekend getaway.

Great For Our Fishing Trip

Great location, we saw a beautiful sunset from the porch! Perfect for family fishing trip. Teenage boys were very happy with their rooms. All very clean and well stocked. Will definitely stay here again!

Fantastic Place!!

Property was clean and comfortable! It’s close to multiple fishing spots and restaurants. The host is free to work with and communicates quickly. Highly recommend!

Short getaway

The overall stay was great. The beds were all comfortable and plenty of pillows! Ceiling fans in the bedrooms would’ve made the stay more comfortable.

Great!

Property was clean and well kept. The kitchen was stocked with everyday cooking pans/utensils. Beds were very comfortable! We had severe weather during our stay and the host was very helpful in making sure we stayed safe. We would definitely stay here again in the future.

Great Location for hunting and fishing

Easy access to boat ramp to meet guides. Nice big couch for all of us to sit and hang after hunting all day

This is exactly as advertised. Plenty of room to sleep everyone. View of lake off the deck is stunning. Property is clean and location is convenient.

It was exactly as stated and worked perfect for me and my friends. Could sit on the patio and enjoy the lake and sunset. It was beautiful. And great food just a short distance away.

Perfect short get away

Not too far from home...just a needed a short recharge and this was the perfect place. Neighborhood is beautiful, views even better. The property is so diverse..great for groups or families. Perfect for get together, sitting on porch together or enjoying sport outdoors. I will definitely come back time after time !! Highly recommend!!

Responsive host

The host was quick to respond. He offered additional information if needed. The vibe is laid back. The kitchen was well stocked with dishes, spices, etc. We had a great vacation. The furniture is very comfortable.

Beautiful View

Whether you are looking for somewhere to stay while fishing, duck hunting or just vacationing the HUT 2 is the perfect place. It is located on a quite residential street, with a beautiful view of the lake. I will have to say my favorite part of the HUT 2 was the porch that faced the lake. It is the perfect place to sit after a long day and watch the beautiful sunset. The HUT 2 was very clean and is spacious enough to accommodate a large group. The owner is very accommodating. We would definitely rent again!

Disgustingly filthy

Upon arriving, over grown weeds at the deck back entrance, the place could have had a beautiful view out the front towards the lake but it was so filthy you could not stand to even sit out there. The deck furniture was green with algae and mildew. Then when we went in the house noticed how dirty everything was, broken beer bottle in one of the bedrooms, trash under the beds. It was so disgusting, we started checking the bedding and discovered dirty stained up bed sheets with pubic hair in them, we ripped off all the bedding and had to wash it straight away. The fridge had dried up blood in it, left over food and 1/2 drunk sodas. Even clean the old bed sheets were disgusting, cigarette burns in them all nubbed up just gross. We took pictures of it. We didn’t even stay the last night we were all just so grossed out! I don’t mind out dated, but this place was filthy, carpeted areas was disgustingly gross as well, 2 of my adult sons slept on the recliners with blankets they brought from home they so grossed out from the beds. Would never stay here again. Definitely need to fire the cleaning crew.
