Charming and Cozy Cottage in a Beautiful Location

Chime Cottage was absolutely charming! It had everything we needed—cozy, cute, and perfectly functional. The space was thoughtfully designed and felt like a true home away from home. We especially appreciated the comfy bed, the lovely bath to relax in after long days of hiking, and the cozy wood burner that made the evenings extra special.We walked into Bradwell from Hope Station—about 2 miles—so a bit of a walk, but totally doable and a great way to soak in the scenery. The town itself was delightful, with a great grocery store just a few minutes' walk away and easy access to trails and stunning views. It was the perfect home base for enjoying the Peak District. We’d absolutely stay here again!

Mini break

The cottage was just as described. Perfect for our 2 night stay . Cosy especially with the log fire. Great base for getting out on fab walks ( we did Win Hill and Mam Tor ). Would certainly book again .

Great location to explore the Peaks and views from the village are breathtaking. Three local pubs but didn’t serve the food and unfortunately the fish and chip shot is closed until early January so we had to buy some food from the CooP. Parking is tricky unless you have a really small car but we’ve managed to park not far from the property and we could walk to places locally. The cottage has all you’d need for a few days stay and any questions we’ve had were quickly responded to by the owner over the phone. The only downgrade for us was the central heating, yes it is a very old property and I wouldn’t expect it to go very warm but a respectable 20 degrees would be really cosy especially when one comes from a few hours walk in the countryside. We’ve used the log burner which was fantastic and easy to use and helped bring the overall temperature up. All in all we had a really good stay and we would definitely recommend it. Thank you Alex!

Some excellent facts and some not so great

The cottage itself is very well kitted out with everything you could possibly need and was very clean. The little welcome basket was very nice . However the second bedroom is not a room it’s a hallway with beds put in it. This in itself is fine but during the night if you want the bathroom you have to go through this to go all the way downstairs to the bathroom. Not the best. Also so many rules to this cottage I was always scared I was doing something wrong . Overall it was ok for a few nights. Not very big at all .

Lovely cosy cottage in a stunning location

We loved our weekend in this traditional stone cottage in the heart of Bradwell. They have everything you need in this small but perfectly equipped place. Really appreciated the wine and chocolate on arrival and the woodburner which really warms up the place( the central heating works really well too. ) The bath and shower are great with instant hot water and beds really comfy. Highly recommend!

Very lovely cottage in small, quiet Bradwell. A warm welcome. Very friendly neighbours, nice pub a few metres down the road. We felt at home and would have loved to stay longer. Parking is available but a bit tricky, very steep roads and narrow bends - the smaller the car, the better!

Peak District Cottage Stay

Family vacation

We had a cosy week in the cottage. Everything was as described. The cottage is perfect for a little family and has everything you need. It is situated in a nice little village with a coop supermarket, playgrounds and pubs nearby, where you can get by foot (for sportive people, the hill is very steep). There is lots to discover and activities within only a short cardrive - so much we couldn‘t do everything we wanted as the vacation was simply too short! Our questions were answered quite fast and we even got a new highchair for our child, thanks for that! As we had arrived at the cottage we were kindly asked whether everything was fine and the neighboors offered help and were very attentive and friendly. We had a wonderful yet too short time at lovely chime cottage and would highly recommend staying there!

We had a lovely stay in Chime cottage and particularly enjoyed the very cosy lounge with fireplace. The house was will kitted out with everything needed for a weekend stay.
