You cannot beat this location on Elbow Cay. A short walk to Vernon's grocery store, Captain Jack's restaurant, and liquor store in the middle of Hope Town. A very short walk over the park hill in front takes you right to the beach. The bench at the top of the small hill is nice for morning coffee. (the small hill was a cholera burial site during the 1850's)
The house itself is very nicely remodeled - single floor with a large great room (kitchen, dining area, living room, and half bath) and two bedrooms that connect to a large bathroom. One bedroom has a queen bed and the other, two singles. The next door cottage is also nice with a bedroom and bathroom.
The only caveat is that there was no hot water during our stay (Feb 2022). Our family was in the Bahamas for a wedding. Showers in the main house were at best lukewarm. Showers in the cottage were always cold. This may not be an issue during warmer times of the year. There was also a lot of traffic on the road in front due to all the construction post Hurricane Dorian (this may drop off during the main tourist season). The rental provides some soap and TP, but no shampoo and the hair dryer did not work. The wifi internet was fast (60-70 mB) in the main house, but does not reach the cottage. All in all, we would definitely stay here again.
