The patio was huge and the views from the room were nice. The apartment was stocked with what we needed. There are a bunch of grocery stores and lots of food options close by which makes things very easy. There were several issues outside of the unit owner’s control that impacted our experience. The main pool was closed for maintenance the one day we had open to use it which was a bummer. At least one elevator was out of service at any given time so we needed to wait for 5 or 6 elevators and 10 minutes.The whole area was way more crowded than I expected (my fault for not researching more), but if you are looking for serene over the holidays this general area is probably not for you. The unit itself could use some updates. The main shower tub caulk was very moldy and the air vent was caked in dust. There were only 3 beach chairs and the beach umbrella was missing a part to keep it standing stable in the wind.

Great location with Ocean and Lagoon views!

Nice place with beautiful views! Can’t beat the location. Walk, ride the bus or Uber everywhere! Nicely furnished and the owner was quick to respond to inquiries! Would stay here again!

Enjoyable Location

The property was clean, well equipped and met all our needs. It is a fantastic location for the Friday evening firework display, next to marina for fishing and whale watching trips and the lagoon for children. The Ilikai has a more relaxing atmosphere than the Hilton next door.

Beautiful view from balcony

Beautiful view down to the lagoon from condo balcony. We were front and center from the balcony for the Friday evening fireworks and avoided the traffic jam after the show. Walk to the beach and many beachside restaurants. We have a wonderful stay

Hotel atmosphere

It's a beautiful hotel setting. Restaurants and shops on site. The valet parking is cheap at $45 a night and the convince is worth it. We saw turtles in the bay. But definitely wear shoes in the water, it's rocky.

Kirk family Vacation - Waikiki

Overall our stay was excellent. The 2br 2bath apartment met all of our expectations and was well kept. The view was wonderful and we could see the fireworks without obstruction. The apartment is located the perfect distance from the elevator...not too far when carrying things and not so close that you are constantly hearing riders. Again, overall, our stay was excellent. We would definitely stay again!!!

Good & issues

Love location & view. Good beds, plenty dishes and appliances. One of bathroom floors not that clean. Safe not working, remote to one air conditionerDid not work, tv in room with two beds had no internet connection, clock needs batteries, and freezer door needs adjustment as makes hard to shut refrigerator door.

Holiday for 4 kiwis

Location is excellent. Views amazing. Plenty of space and everything we needed. Access to room instructions was sent about 24 hours before our arrival. We were already in transit and therefore didn’t, get instruction until we arrived. This was not ideal. Thanks for a great stay.

It was very clean and the owner was very nice we would stay there again. Just one thing we could not get the second bedroom tv to work. But that was okay because we were not in the room long enough to watch tv.

Great condo close to the hilton

We stayed at this condo for the first leg of our hawaii trip. check in was easy and parking was easy with the valet service. The condo was in great condition and had a great view of both the Hilton's show, fireworks, and the beach and ocean. We enjoyed the condo and the beach toys for our kids. Overall our stay was amazing and the condo was well stocked for our trip. If you have dust allergies be cautious since something in the condo set off my wife's allergies. Overall we felt it was amazing and the owners were very receptive about everything throughout the whole booking process!

Very nice property

Unit was very nice and had a great view. Well stocked with pretty much anything you need. Could use some maintenance. Several lights did not work. Refrigerator/freezer handles modified and hit when closing either one.

The view is amazing

From what we saw when we stayed there, you pay for the view. The condo is a little to be desired. Alot of old fixtures. Not extremely clean. My son crawled around and his knees where black. But the owner has good communication and the view is amazing and its such a quick walk to the beach and lagoon.

Very poor communication

Never could get answers to very basic simple questions. If I called VRBO I was instructed to contact the owner and the owner stated I needed to contact VRBO. Was over charged due to an error of VRBO agent adding extra people to reservation in error. Said they couldn't fix and owner demanded I pay or reservation would be canceled with no refunds. I paid an extra $680. Condo itself was nice, great location and beautiful views.

2 weeks in paradise.

Started off with only 1 of 5 elevators working. This wasvq problem throughout our 2 week stay. They had to bring in portable generators to run the elevators. Most of the time only 2 or 3 elevators were up and running. There were huge lines of people trying to get to their rooms. Our unit needs updating, and we were surprised to see roaches in the unit everyday, despite us spraying and leaving all of our food in the refrigerator. All said, our stay was a 3 out of 5. This was the 3rd Island we visited and my least favorite.

Hotel has major problems

We have stayed at the Ilikai many times in the past with good experiences. This time was a disaster! The elevators had major problems 7 out of the 10 days we were there. One day we were completely trapped in our room. The pool was closed for 3 days! The first floor restaurant was also closed. As far as the room goes, it was kind of dirty. One of the toilets leaked from the bottom. We used the other one. Next time if i need another bedroom I would just book another room. It was too expensive for what you get.
