The view and ease of getting to the apartment was fantastic. We were walking distance from most things which we loved. If there was a comforter or duvet on the bed, basic kitchen essentials (salt, pepper, etc) for the kitchen and beach towels it would make this a 5/5. Overall we really enjoyed our stay.

The host was incredibly kind and responsive, and we truly appreciated how helpful they were throughout our stay. The view was absolutely beautiful and definitely one of the highlights for us.That said, there were a few areas of the room that could use some attention. Upon arrival, we noticed some hair on the floors and countertops, and the top sheet on the bed had a stain. There was also only a flat sheet on the mattress rather than a fitted sheet, which made it a bit uncomfortable at night since it would shift and bunch up.The couch and pull-out bed were a little different from what we expected based on the listing. It worked fine for the two of us, but it may be challenging for a third guest, as the couch felt somewhat unstable and you could feel the support bars when sitting on it.Additionally, the kitchen trash can was quite small, more like a bathroom-sized bin, which made it slightly inconvenient during our stay.Overall, we appreciated the hospitality and especially loved the view. With a few small improvements, this could be an even better experience for future guests.

Location was amazing. Deck and railing were very dirtyDeck only had one chair that was semi comfortable. Hammock is useless get rid of it. Only had one beach chair Couch was very uncomfortable The listing showed pics of gym which I as misleading as we didn’t get access to it.

Power was out the first night and when it did come on the shower was backed up and flooded with black water. Had a Plummer come by while we were in the room in the evening to fix it. He worked for 2 hours pounding away in and out and making noise and couldn’t fix it. After 2 days of no showers they decided to move us to another one of their apartments. When they did move us there was pounding on the floor above us. So much for a relaxing stress free vacation in Hawaii. Very disappointing!

The sunset view was great. A lot of noise from the harbor (one boat specifically) and someone was smoking on the balcony of a nearby unit so it was a little stinky at times. The closest beach was very rocky not exactly related to our stay but something we noticed. Bring your own beach towels and look into beach chair rentals because this unit only has one and the carry straps are damaged. We didn’t have any intention of cooking for ourselves but this unit also had a limited variety of cooking utensils. The ac unit is dated and extremely loud, we would leave it one when we weren’t in the room and that seemed to work good enough for us. Overall, it functioned just fine as a place to sleep. We don’t typically visit Honolulu but if we do again we will likely look for somewhere more central on Waikiki beach.

The view was amazing! Place was cute. Had to email property manager because they didnt send chwck in information. Ac wasnt turned on prior to our check in and it is in direct sun. The shower was dirty and there were 2 bikinis on the deck. Also after 2 showers the shower was clogged, ended up showering in ankle deep water. Definitely need some upgrades but still enjoyed the location.

First, I love the Ilikai Hotel - it has great amenities. Great location. This time I appreciated being higher up, on the 16th floor with a terrific view of the Ala Moana marina, the ocean, and hotel grounds below. There was a minor glitch checking in - the instructions for unlocking the door on the keypad were not entirely correct, but I called Hawaii Lei Realty and someone came to fix the situation.Overall, I enjoyed staying in the unit. One thing that would have been helpful is instructions on how to use the two TV remotes. I'm not tech savvy but I managed to figure it out - for the future: hit the power on the Spectrum remote, then hit the on-off button on the Spectrum unit, wait for it to display 2d, then back to the time, then turn on the power on the TV remote. I don't know how I figured this out but I did!

Great location

We didnt spend much time at the vrbo as we were off adventuring. The location was wonderful. The bed was comfy, but the couch definitely could use an upgrade. Anytime we did want to stop and sit while we figured out plans, we only ever sat on the bed because the couch was so uncomfortable.
