Too many positives to share. The room was clean and well supplied. Two major reasons for the low review. 1. The master bedroom bed was terrible. After two long night of no sleep and back pain, I decided to rotate the mattress for the owner. THE MATTRESS WAS UPSIDE DOWN. This was clearly a directional mattress with a labeled top and bottom. Oops. 2. The AC in the master bedroom probably needed service. It did not cool equal to the living room and other bedroom. We struggled to get the master bedroom cool throughout the night without the bedroom door open.

Great value !

We use to stay at the Moana Surfrider or the Westin, but this time we had my mom and our 1 year old tagging along so we opted for a place with kitchen and 2 beds. Some units in the Ilikai are old, this one has a fresh remodeling and it was very well done! The view is great, you see the ocean, the park and the marina. The Ilikai location is a bit far to walk to the main Waikiki road, 20-25 minutes but we knew this when we booked the place.

Over priced

We enjoyed our stay in Honolulu. However, the VRBO did not meet our expectations for the price we paid. The floors were not cleaned. We had to use the bath towels to clean the floors which were very dirty. The master bathrooms' shower drain was backed up. The bed is too low to the floor. Also, the sheets were so dingy and old we had to go out to purchase new sheets which only cost $20.00 for the set. In addition, we could not sit on the balcony to enjoy the view or fresh air because it was covered with bird poop, which should have been cleaned prior to our stay. Also, the tenants above us smoked cigarettes throughout the day which added to the balcony issue. We clearly overpaid for this unit unfortunately, it was too late once we had you arrived. Our stay at the Hilton Hotel Waikiki was less expensive with daily cleaning and great location.

Great Location

This is our second trip to the illikai in a year. We love it here! My teenage son didn’t even want us to consider another property. This unit was wonderful and it had a great view. The floors looked new. You will notice reviews about the carpet and a leak, but that was all gone with new flooring by the time we got there. Everything was perfect. We would definitely stay again.

Great view of the ocean

Very nice condo. Short walk to the beach. Shopping close by. Cinnamon’s restaurant was good. Had a Kalua pork omelet. You can see turtles swimming along the reefs clouds to the beach. Saw more of them early in the morning than later.

Nice condo with great views close to a lot

This location was perfect for us. Lots to do that’s walkable and the condo is perfect for 4 of us. We enjoyed the views and convenience. The modern updates made it feel more comfortable. It can be a busy property but it’s nice to have food and drink options available. The pools are just so so. Rental manager was very easy to deal with prompt with communication. Would stay here again.

Trip of a lifetime

The condo wa a perfect for our family - size, location, everything. It is extremely clean and comfy. The beds are super comfortable! We loved having the extra beach equipment handy and not having to go out and buy things we could not take home on the plane. As for the property itself, my kids (16&18) thought the pool was a little lacking and never went to it. It was overrun with little kids. The lagoon and beach were great - turtles everywhere! The condo is a little far to see any of the beach. It is mostly marina views and some ocean, but that is ok. One of the worst things about the property are the elevators. The elevators were slow and often over full, causing wait times to be extended, so we found a work around and used the Beach Elevator all of the time. It was much faster. Also, the gray thing is that when people are checking out, they leave the things they can’t take with them on a table in the hall at the elevators - kind of a free yard sale. Anyone is welcome to take whatever they want or need. There were some good finds there some days! Lol. Some good points about the location is you are close enough to walk to HHV for some fun or a bite to eat and the Ala Moana Center is not that far. We had a Turo rental that came with parking down the block across from the main entrance to HHV, so that was nice. The only food we tried at The Ilikai was the ice cream and it was delicious!

Family get away

Beautiful view, perfect location,everyone was so nice. The condo was very nice. Only thing, there was a leak in the master bedroom, the carpet was soaked and musty. We reported on the second day and unfortunately w was not taken care of till 4 days later. The maintenance crew did what they could till we departed. Really didn’t put us out, just not somethings we wanted to deal with. All in all I would rent this place again. Thank you for the delightful stay.

Perfect location with amazing view

The Condo is well maintained and very updated. Great living spaces throughout the condo. Kitchen well stocked. The view from both balconies is amazing. The condo is not in a resort and some of the amenities of the building are outdated. A quick walk to the beach or the hotel next door provide all you need for a fantastic visit.

Long Deserved Vacation

The condo was as nice as the pictures showed it to be. Perfect view of the ocean,walking distance to beach,shopping and eateries. The host responded in a timely manner the entire trip. Although the condo was very nice with awesome location, we were unaware it was located inside of a hotel therefore, if we needed anything they would not accommodate (iron was needed ) They (front desk day shift) would not even give us 2 disposable cups for something to drink out of. We were very lucky to have a night shift staff who felt sorry for us and allow us to use an iron and we made sure to return it asap as we were very grateful! The room was pricey at a little over one thousand per night in addition to the taxes and cleaning fees (no iron or any laundry detergent) and the area rug in the master bedroom was wet and stained (appeared to be as a result of possible attempt at someone trying to clean it and did not do a gd job at finishing. There were strands of hair in the bathroom as if it was a rush job considering we were exhausted and had traveled and been up for almost 24hrs, we were not allowed to check in early (it happens) but for that reason the cost alone, and absolutely no onsight parking, the condo should have been immaculate. In all fairness there is valet parking 24hrs a day and the crew is really nice but it was also pricey at $35/ day. The convenience of keyless checkin was also awesome. Overall, the condo was a gd choice for our first trip to HI and we had a magnificent time there! Hawaii does not owe us anything and we will be back to see all of the beauty Hawaii has to offer!

Great location and beautiful unit!

Would have rated this a solid 5 but taking a star away for bad cleaners. The unit was clean EXCEPT for a lot of brown liquid spilled on the rug in the master bedroom. Rug was dark but I stepped on it while wearing white socks and it was SOAKED in something brown, like a whole can of soda spilled on it. Gross! How the cleaners missed it shows no attention to detail. Don’t charge a cleaning fee if your cleaners don’t clean the bedrooms.

What an Incredible Condo!

The views, the location, the weather…..this is the nicest place I have ever stayed in at The IliKai and Waikiki in general….and I have been here 15 times now. Highly recommended to anyone who wants to enjoy an island paradise vacation. I hope to be back soon!

Beautiful property with stunning views
