What a gem! Heidi, our host, was responsive to all requests both through VRBO and by providing a phone number once we arrived. The home is very clean and includes a washer/dryer combo machine that was easy to use. The bed was comfortable. Heidi has stocked the apartment with all you need (at least all we needed). It is very tastefully decorated. The only thing to bring to your attention is the second floor location... if you overpack, as I do, remember the stairs you'll need to climb to enter!!

We came in for one day and night for a wedding in the area. Upon checkin, the property manager was quick to respond when we had questions and was really helpful. The hayloft was extremely clean, well organized, and supplied beyond a travelers basic needs. We were especially impressed with the thoughtfulness you can tell the owner put into things; even the guest binder had specific tips, directions, recommendations for things in town. The location of the hayloft made it easy to take a walk down Main Street to see what Honesdale has to offer. It was a really pleasant stay and we’d highly recommend to anyone coming through!

This was my first time using Vrbo, and it was a great experience. Being a solo female traveler, I was a little nervous, but once I entered The Little Hayloft, I felt like I was “home”. The place is beautifully decorated and super clean! Heidi provided everything you could possibly need, even snacks! My brother and sister-in-law travel to Honesdale much more often than I do, and they were impressed with the property as well. Five stars all around!

great little place

Very clean, well maintained with amenities and supplies. Excellent communication on check-in and status during the 2-day stay. We could walk to everywhere we need to go in Honesdale, which was a bonus. I'm not sure it would work well for a larger group, but for my wife and I it was excellent.

My sister and I came to Honesdale to visit the cemetery and to bring some donations to the historical society museum. We had beautiful weather, stayed at a wonderful place, and was pleasantly surprised by a concert in the park, hosted by the Wayne Memorial Hospital (where I was born). Our host was great and we loved that she as so thoughtful to leave us snacks and drinks. I would definitely recommend this loft. It is an easy walk to the Wayne Hotel or down to Main Street.

Valentine's Weekend Getaway

My husband and I stayed overnight for a kid-free Valentine's night. We absolutely loved The Little Hayloft, our only regret was not originally booking for 2 nights! Snacks and waters were waiting for us which hit the spot after a long drive. We enjoyed a delicious dinner at "Native" and stopped in the brewery "Here & Now" for a night cap. Upon arrival we were concerned about ice in the driveway but Heidi and her husband were already ahead of us, planning to put salt down which was an enormous help. The Hayloft was incredibly clean and cozy, even with a box of toiletries in case you forgot anything at home. We enjoyed our stay and look forward to returning!
