I spent 3 nights at the cottage and wished I could have stayed longer. The property is very peaceful and exceeded my expectations. We enjoyed seeing a beautiful white peacock on the property grounds and a short canoe ride led us by an emu/alpaca farm. Enjoyed fishing, using the grill and nearby restaurants. This is definitely a property I would like to rent again.

We stayed for a long weekend to visit nearby parks and snorkel with manatees. The cottage is in a great location, about 10 minutes to Crystal River and 10 minutes to the Homosassa Wildlife Refuge (other direction). The owners gave us very specific directions and parking instructions (it could have been tricky to find without them). The cottage is very charming, kind of "Funky Old Florida Bohemian". Lots of whimsy, very welcoming. The outdoors area is great, very peaceful sitting by the water and having morning coffee. If you're looking for something that is super modern and has a full kitchen this isn't the place for you. If you're looking for something off the beaten path with tons of character and charm, this is it!

The cottage is nicely decorated. Very cute and comfy! Jim fished the entire time & caught a lot of blue gill. The water is clear & you can watch the fish swim by. The property is lovely. If traveling with your pet it is perfect. Fenced in no leash required! We had a lovely time.

The house was perfect for me and my dogs. The fenced in yard was just the right size, and the water behind the house was beautiful. The house was a little hard to find since it's kind of hidden, but access was very easy once the owner helped out.

This little cottage is absolutely adorable. Off the beaten path and very quiet and peaceful. We were provided with everything we needed. Had a very enjoyable stay. Would definitely recommend.

Very beautiful peaceful place. If you're not sure about this one, trust me it's THE one. Had fun fishing and feeding the turtles. We took the canoe out and went to the lake, saw a couple of otters playing and emu island was a very very nice surprise. The bed was super soft and everything felt inviting. The cottage is a really nice size with a lot of beautiful lighting. Even though it doesn't have a stove it literally has everything else that you would ever need, plus the larger refrigerator outside is a really nice touch. The detail put into this place is really amazing, the lamps are gorgeous and the bathroom is beautiful. All around a definite 10/10. Worth every penny.

Cottage at the end of the road, just like in a Nicholas Sparks book adorable secluded, surrounded by nature. Hosts were only a message away if I needed anything. when I did venture out everything, including a beautiful Spring was only nine minutes away. The little yellow cottage is a definite go back again

Very cute and quiet cottage. Very clean and welcoming. Everything in the cottage worked well. We had a very good time staying there. We had fun using the canoe, but the pedal boat didn't seem to work right. I would definitely recommend the cottage to friends and family.

There are so many lovely things to say about this property. Quiet, beautiful and the owner has added so many small touches that you feel like a guest in their home! It rained the whole time we visited, so we did not get to use the Kayaks, but we will be back next year and hope for better weather. Can't wait to explore this area more! Short trip

When you walk in the door you can tell the owners love this property. From the decor to the furnishings to the little extras like coffee, creamer etc. We stay in a lot of VRBO properties and you can tell the difference between owner managed and a property management property. Dennis and Debra's darling cottage is almost magical. The location is perfect for being a tourist or doing absolutely nothing. The owners give great driving instructions. Our dog loved it!

Quiet Retreat

We came looking for a quiet weekend getaway and the property did not disappoint. The location is off the beaten path, yet very close to many of the local sites and activities. The outside is very accommodating with plenty of seating to watch the variety of fish swim by in the creek. There was use of kayak, canoe and paddle boat to enjoy. The inside was nicely decorated, very clean and comfortable. I had no intention of cooking (LOL!) so the limited kitchen facilities was not an issue...no stove or inside full-size refrigerator, nor coffee maker, only Kuerig. The shower had great water temperature and flow, just a little "tight" for our liking. Overall a very good stay!

A Little Piece of Heaven

I don’t know where to start, everything was perfect! The Cottage was very clean, comfortable bed. The decor was amazing, from the chandeliers to the crocheted doilies! The property outside is equally amazing. The owners have thought of everything. We will definitely be back.
