Really enjoyed our stay, the location is perfect to bike, walk, drive to a few of our favorite restaurants (West Shore Cafe for happy hour, Sunnyside Market - best pizza and of course all the great places in Tahoe City). Lots of hiking around the cabin, the trail along the lake makes it easy for running, biking or walking long distances if you want. The private pier access (and small beach) is so great to have, especially if you want to rent jet ski’s, paddle boards or kayaks for the day (which you can right down at Homewood or Sunnyside- so easy), or if you have little ones- hot dog crawdad finding off the pier is always a fun after dinner activity. You don’t get the sunset but you do get the beautiful sunrise if you wake early enough- I suggest a walk down to the pier and then on to Firesign Cafe for breakfast.
We had ages ranging from 12 to 50 and everyone loved this cabin and the location.
My only suggestion for the owner would be to provide fans in the summer- the cabin gets quite hot and uncomfortable, even with the windows and doors open there isn’t much of a cross breeze on hot days- this makes for an uncomfortable sleep. It was pretty hot the 2nd half of our week.
The appliances (dishwasher and range) are a bit outdated and took some time to figure out but not a big deal!
Overall a fantastic rental- and I’ve rented too many cabins to count- I would definitely rent this one again.
