Backyard oasis near the beach

Enjoyed our stay very much. Quiet neighborhood with little traffic so made walks to and from beach easy. Home is very nice with all basics covered. Would certainly stay again!

Great Location!

Nice pool and close to beach, restaurants and pickle ball courts. The only thing is the beds were lumpy and squeaky.Overall we would stay again.

Will never stay at another property managed by Vacasa.

I had an issue come up that required communication with Vacasa, the company that manages the property. It was late when I called initially, was promised that my issue was top priority and that I would get a call back. Guess what. Nobca back. I had to call in again to get an answer to my question. Next morning, still no callback but mid day I got a brief, terse text stating that my request for compensation was denied. Funny, I never asked for monetary compensation. I wanted to speak to someone to find out why, if my request was top priority, I had to call back in to get my answer. Just goes to show that they don’t listen, didn’t care. Property was beautiful, as advertised but beware should something come up that requires property management to be involved.

Great location in quiet neighborhood

Location was great but furniture was uncomfortable and dirty. Couch pillows needed to be cleaned and couch growled every time you sat on it. Master shower drain was clogged. Master bed mattress was lumpy. Back yard was private and pretty. The pool heater wasn't working too well so we didn't use the pool. No oven mitts. Need a front door fixture instead of just a bulb.

Amazing back yard, wouldn’t rent again

We go to AMI yearly and have always rented a house/pool combo in this general area. This house was….fine. The backyard and pool were probably the best we’ve ever had and with our kids ages 6 and 9, the layout of the house was great. That being said, upon arrival the pool had several HUGE blobs of previous guests hair. We called the rental company and they asked us to send pictures before they’d send someone out “sometime during our stay”. It was so gross and that’s a terrible response. We scooped them out ourselves. There’s definitely moisture/mold around most of the AC vents which wasn’t a massive deal but it was kind of bothersome and they were overall so dirty looking. The primary shower takes a good three minutes to drain once you start your shower which wasn’t a dealbreaker but needs maintenance. There is an empty lot next door that looks like it’s about to be developed. Didn’t bother us at all but if you’re there when work is being done, I’d be super annoyed so double check that. The walk to the beach was about 10 minutes, we’ve stayed in two other houses (that we’d rent again) within a couple blocks and they were a much shorter walk because we didn’t have to zig zag quite as much to get to beach access point. Overall enjoyed our stay but we’ve paid similar or less for other houses in the same area that we’d choose over this one in the future.

Misleading

This stay was the worst experience in renting a property due to cleanliness and communication. House was not ready at time of check in, and had mold in numerous areas. Property management would not communicate with us to resolve our issues. Had to leave home 2 days into our week stay. Do not recommend

Wonderful vacation

House was exactly as described and pictured. The beds were comfortable. The pool was amazing!! There were floats, pool noodles and pool toys available. Everything was clean and we were close to the beach. We rented a golf cart to take all our beach gear to the beach and drive around the island. It was nice to have an umbrella and beach chairs available at the property. We stayed for 2 weeks and had an awesome vacation.

The property on Anna Maria Island was very clean and perfect to make our vacation a pleasant experience. The pool area was lovely oasis. a discounted price for second time renters would be very enticing!

A private paradise on an island of pradise!

The home is exactly as pictured! An absolutely perfect central location and just a short bike ride to the white Sandy beaches of the Gulf and The Ugly Grouper which has great food and atmosphere! The pool is such a perfect size and it was nice to have the step entry vs. a ladder style. Plenty of outdoor seating options and the tiki hut is perfect if you happen to get rain! Needless to say, we did not want to leave and may have shed a few tears on the way out. We will definitely be back!

Beautiful property

Such a beautiful house, yard, and pool. Perfect for our needs besides the walk to the beach being a little long for our three year old. An easy 10 minutes for everyone else—three tenths of a mile to be exact. The bikes were not functional, but we didn’t need them at all’s. Smart TVs would be a bonus in the future, but we really can’t complain about anything. We would definitely return to this property in the future.

Lazin' in Holmes Beach

Classic old Florida. Not sumptuous, just highly efficient for the six of us: Grandparents with their daughter's family, boys 4 and 8. I can't overestimate the convenience of everything on one level. Our previous stays had been in the new condo design with three floors. Up and down steps, disconnected from the pool/grilling eating areas outside. The weather was beautiful. The space would have been snug if the weather hadn't cooperated so well. We ate every meal outside, swam whenever the fancy struck --often---and lazed in the hammock and shaded areas. There was always a mix of shade and sun during the day. We paid extra to have the pool temp raised to 85 degrees and that was worth it for us! Vacasa was very responsive and dealt with the getting settled issues promptly. We were there for 2 weeks. House is a little inconvenient to the beach with smaller kids We remedied the situation somewhat by renting a golf cart to get around. I had to bite my tongue about the ridiculous prices charged for a cart. The 65th Street access to the beach put us right where we found the best combination or features for us. Not crowded, no rip tide warnings for nervous parents and great wave action when windy. The house itself was adequate. Not too flush with the small amenities like basic seasonings. The wine glasses are brutish. A larger outdoor table for dining would have been nice, but we survived. Parking was a bit tight with two cars and the golf cart. Neighborhood is quiet and the back yard secluded. On one side is a "Somewhat deferred maintenance" place, probably waiting to be bought and knocked down. On the other side was a new place that had just sold for 1.8 million. We'd go back if the place were availble.

Great location, but needs some maintenance.

Only 10 minute walk to the beach was wonderful. The heated pool was the best part of the house. And 2 bikes were provided for guests use, however they were stored outside to the chains were rusted which made the bikes difficult to ride. The master bedroom and bath was a good size. Very nice having a washer and dryer in the house and the kitchen was nicely stocked for cooking meals. The 3rd bedroom was very small and the bed was pushed into the corner allowing access to only one side and the end of the bed. Ok if only 1 person in the room. The main bathroom had small bugs in and around the sink everyday no matter how much you cleaned and the shower only had extremely hot water or cold. Called to have fixed but was told it would be days to fix and would have to wait until no one was renting the house and we had it rented for 2 weeks, so it was really more like a 1 and 1/2 bath house.

Beautiful!

We came to a fresh house. The bathrooms, kitchen and sheets were clean. The pool was beautiful and well maintained throughout our visit! In regards to the beach, it was fairly close (about a 10 minute walking distance) and was not too packed with people. Also, shopping centers were only a few minutes drive from the house. Overall, it was a pleasurable experience.

Perfect gateway to the beach.

The house is perfect for a family. We were four, but up to six may fit. This is a three room well maintain house. The beautiful garden and pool add a perfect place to enjoy the outdoors. The turquoise beach is about 8 minutes walking and you can use the bicycles to go to the beach or explore the island. We will be happy to be back and I do recommend the house for your escape to the beach.

Perfect getaway for our 2 week vacation on Anna Maria!

We loved the house and the pool! Everything was set up beautifully and the house was in a great location. We would come back again but, sadly, it’s already booked for next year. The only things that could be improved upon would be the queen bed in the front bedroom (it creaks and groans at the slightest movement) and installing an outlet in the hall bathroom.

Great Family Place

The house was totally remodeled and very clean. The pool was great. A little far to walk to the beach for my taste, but could easily be driven. Strongly suggest renting a golf cart while staying on the island. Plenty of shopping, places to eat and drink close.
