We loved the house- it was a short walk to the beach- we went back and forth all day from the house to the beach and the pool. We really loved the small pool and the waterfall. Our 12 year old loved the fact that we could splash and throw a ball without bothering other people (he got a lot of warnings in other visits about bothering the sunbathers by our condo pool)- so having a private pool was nice for all of us. We were also 2 blocks from the Publix - so we made many small trips - no need to drive anywhere. The beach in Anna Maria is the best! We all also became big fans of the Anna Maria Beach Cafe - we went there for 2 breakfasts- 1 dinner- and several happy hours with live music. Everyone in our group of 6 ( ages 12, 21, 40s, and 70) could find something on their menu - with our feet in the sand! We had a great time!

Very beautiful house - excellent seating areas throughout the house and a great outdoor area and gaming room. Excellent pool and all fenced in. Great proximity to the beach, only 1 block away. Hope to rent here again.

This was our first trip to AMI, but it won't be our last. The location of this house is perfect - less than a 2 minute walk to the beach. There is no need for a golf cart to get to the beach, but we did rent one to get around the island. The pool is amazing, the house was super clean, rooms are good sizes, plenty of towels/washcloths, beach cart, kitchen is well-equipped, beds are comfortable, and a game room for a rainy day. Suggestions - there should be curtains over the sliding back door and blinds over the window at the dinning table for privacy, and the bathrooms/interior doors are showing their age. We would stay here again without hesitation.

Family Vacation

Walking steps to the beach and didn’t have to cross a major road to get to the beach. It was a straight path to the beach access. House was perfect for our family. Selling point for us is the outdoor tv and seating area. Everything is as pictured and would definitely stay at the house again.

2 weeks in paradise!

We stayed at this fabulous property for two weeks and wish we could have stayed longer! Perfect location to walk to the beach, great accommodations, awesome pool with outdoor TV and fun games for the family. We will be back!

A Week at the beach

We very much enjoyed everything about our stay. The house is beautiful and well cared for. Also, the location, pool, and games downstairs were so much fun. Our only complaint was the king and queen mattresses were too soft making a good nights sleep difficult. Otherwise, the place was great!

Fantastic Time!

The home was super nice, and the management company did an awesome job. The TVs were not working when we arrived but once I contacted them, they sent someone quickly to take care of them. We also had a minor problem with the sensor on the rear door and they repaired it within 24 hrs. Even though we spent most time at the beach I really enjoyed watching TV at the pool side seating area.

A block from the beach can’t be beat!

We are a family of 4, with two little boys ages 2 & 3 my husband and myself. We felt that the house as a whole was a little on the small side, esp the rooms. It also really really needs a deep cleaning. We had to go over the initial “cleaning” ourselves because it was really bad. Their was also a ton of gnats in the kitchen that we tried to get rid of but kept getting worse during our stay. I would suggest giving it a deep clean. On the positive side, the location you cannot beat! We rented a golf cart that we took all over the place! You are only a block from the beach which is super convenient! You are also super close to Publix, surf shops, ice cream places ect. To get to one side of the island in the golf cart took about 10-15min. We highly recommend renting a golf cart, it was so fun driving around and seems to be the norm around the island, if not you are literally a 2min walk to the beach and prob 5min the the grocery. The house does sit off a busy street, but we never had any issues coming or going in the car or golf cart. The backyard of the house was perfect, it had so much room, an outdoor tv, large couch, large table, pool loungers and relaxing pool! We spent a lot of time in the backyard playing in the pool and enjoying the privacy. The backyard has tons of lush greenery so you are in a very private area. The house itself has multiple bikes to use, a beach wagon, tons of beach toys, a blow up pool, beach umbrellas and even boogie boards! The positives defiantly outweigh the negatives. We had an amazing time making memories with family and will return in the future.

Loved our stay

This was the perfect condo for our family. The pool area had new outdoor furniture and a big screen tv so we could watch our Iowa Hawkeyes play. The beach is just around the corner. Beds were very comfortable. The garage was full of beach and pool accessories. Would definitely stay here again. It is located on a very busy corner, but we had no problems with getting in and out of the driveway. My only suggestion would be the kitchen pantry could use some condiments like salt, pepper etc.

The property was in a perfect location to walk to the beach. The house was spacious and decorated cute, however, it wasn’t very clean. The fans had layers of black dust and the vents as well. The walls had marks from food, dirt and hand prints, I cleaned them myself because we have a 1 year old that touches everything. The downstairs game room smelled like mold so we didn’t use it, but we wish we could have because there was a new foseball table. We loved the outdoor hang out space by the pool and all the activities provided in the garage.

The pictures weren’t accurate as to the layout of the pool or house in general (extremely small). The steps were awful to access the house, especially for my mom. The outlets weren’t working downstairs at the pool until we called a couple of times. this caused difficulty for us charging our golf cart for almost two days. The refrigerator by the pool didn’t work and wasn’t replaced until Thursday (4 days after we arrived). The driveway was so dangerous entering and exiting at all times. Even when the police showed up with a ticket bc of the parking on/ near the side walk- they agreed- it was the worst location in the area. This also applied to walking in general, a golf cart and a vehicle. Overall, it was not worth the money nor what we thought we were paying for.

Outside space at pool was nice. Inside the house was very small but clean. Had problems with the AC. It kept resetting itself to 80 every 2 hours. Door code did not work for the first few days. Super close to beach but is in a busy curve.

Great home, great location!

This home in Holmes Beach was extremely comfortable, in a fantastic location and we really enjoyed the private pool. We had a great time and would definitely return to the same rental. Only complaint was we were left with 1 roll of toilet paper per bathroom and no paper towels, but the grocery store is literally around the corner. Highly recommend!

The house has been nicely updated everything you need for beach including bikes are in garage for use and grill and kitchen utilities were better than average the pool is smaller than anticipated as well the game room is not attached to the rest of upstairs living so our little kids couldn’t just go play without us being in there other than that quick walk to beach ( 36th ave access recommended )

*WARNING* Slum Lord Property Management Company

We cannot give this property high marks solely because of the property management company. We travel a lot, and have rated dozens of places 5 stars. Sadly, our almost three-week stay at La Coconut was frustrating daily. The biggest problem is that Anna Maria Island Accommodations Inc (aka AMI Accommodations) is not managing their properties well. Our A/C was broken 2/3 of our stay. Daily calls = nothing. Maintenance guy came after 5 days of asking for help. Thermostat said 70 so we got a lecture on why we don’t need it any lower, but the thermostat was broken. It was 78 inside after we asked him to check. He fixed it. One day of nice A/C. But AMI has remote control of thermostat and they changed it so we couldn’t set it below 74. More phone calls. More rudeness. We gave up and suffered through it. Also, broken dryer and toilet was never fixed. Pool is SUPER small and gross/dirty. They never cleaned it once in 3 weeks. We loved the island itself and determined to have a good time. But feel obliged to warn you against this place and any others managed by them.

Island Getaway

The house was spacious and clean and was in a very good location.We rented a Gulf Cart to explore the Island for the week Shout out to Josh and Nick who delivered it and mentioned all the great places to Eat and Explore!,That is a must! It allows you to really see the island! Met alot of Good People on the Island ,they made you feel welcome! We explored other beaches while we was there as well,Why not,they were close enough to do that. My only down falls was could of used an outside ceiling fan on the Lanie over the outside furniture to have a little breeze while we sat at night by the pool when we barbequed. The pool was not cleaned on our time of arrival,but it took couple days to get it resolved,but once it was cleaned,we enjoyed it! This was our first time on the island, we will definitely be back!

Middle of Everything

Good central spot, pool onsite and pool toys and bikes available for use. Close to Anna Maria and Bradenton Beach. Nice clean accommodations. Well worth it.
