Sea Palm Cottage

Sea Palm cottage was so comfortable and close to the beach. We found the backyard space so beautiful and private. Wonderful accommodations!! We had a great time. We’ll be back next year.

This house is in a great location and the pool area is fantastic. The house is older on the inside but decorated nicely. Only complaint is the kitchen is poorly equipped. There wasn’t enough silverware to make it through lunch and dinner and barely any baking dishes/pans/cooking utensils etc to cook a full meal. But we really enjoyed our stay and would definitely come back!

Great cottage near beach

Everything was as advertised. Comfortable cottage. Close to beach. Really enjoyed the backyard. Enclosed with a tall privacy fence with plenty of tall vegetation giving the sense of a small oasis out your back door.

Lovely!

Awesome location! Perfect for a family! Heated pool was perfect with the our chilly November weather. Lovely quiet neighborhood - with many miles of quiet beach walking easily accessible. Interesting shire birds, dolphins and shells to look at and the water was even warm enough to swim in. Many Thanks!

Great Vacation Stay

The location is great. Steps from the beach. Close to the trolly, Walgreens, Publix. It felt in the central of everything. The house is an old house but updated and decorated nicely. We loved the pool and all the palm trees. The driveway is a bit small. Only accommodates 1 car. We enjoyed our stay here and definitely recommend.

Nice place close to the beach

The Sea Palm Cottage is just a very short. Walk to the beach with no need to cross any roads. I has a driveway big enough for one full sized vehicle and there is a spot just big enough for a small golf cart if needed. The pool in the rear is very nice, and there is a covered porch in the back with a picnic table and.a gas grill

A dreamy family vacation

We loved every minute of our stay from the dreamy cottage to the short walk to the beach. Our 4 yo daughter learned to swim in the pool and it was so nice given the cooling temperatures to have the pool heated. We will come again! If I was to make any recommendations to the owner and management company it would be to add a mattress topper to the beds or get new higher quality mattresses, add a bunk bed into the twin bed bedroom, and allow residents to have the option to pay for the pool to be heated more. Thank you again for a wonderful stay!

Amazing place!

My husband and I, and our two kids (12&15) stayed at this property for a week and didnt want to leave! Super easy check-in and check-out and very clean. Their was a wagon out back with chairs and a shade we could easily tote with our VERY short walk to the beach. The pool was so pretty and definitely big enough and deep enough for my crew! We spent all of our evenings relaxing in the shade in the pool. We ran out of propane on our first night and called the number in the informational binder and someone was out in less than 15min! I would absolutely stay here again!

Wonderful cottage

We had a wonderful stay in the cottage. The cottage is very close to the beach (literally less than 2 minutes walk!) which was a huge plus for us. The pool was also a bonus! The house was clean and overall well equipped. My suggestion would be to add a full length mirror. Also a bigger size pan would be helpful (they only had what I would consider medium size). Extra trash bags would also be helpful. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay and would definitely book again!

Great Beach

The distance to the beach was ver short. The beach was wonderful. The backyard and pool was also wonderful. The cleanliness of the house was not sogood. The white sofa was so dirty. Called housekeeping to bring sheets to cover it. All together the house needs a thorough cleaning.. The showers also need a really good cleaning.

Small and in need of caretaking

Small cottage. Would recommend it for four people at the most. Dated furniture and not very well equipped. Threadbare place mats, no dish towels and loud and old washer and dryer. Pool alarm is very annoying. Pool is nice, heater very loud.

Great Place to Get Away!

We had 4 adults and a newborn. The house was as described and beach access was amazing! We had a wonderful time and the pool area is an oasis. My son got married on the beach! The only "missing" items to us were a full length mirror. My daughter and I really wanted to see ourselves in our dresses before the wedding. Also, a pool net. So much debris after a storm that we had to swim in for days. We'll be back again. A great little cottage!

Mostly enjoyable vacation.

Great location. Faults found and reported, most concerning of all was an exposed electrical socket in the bathroom. Others were loose taps, sink plug didn't work, large gap at the bottom of a light switch, poor Wi-Fi at times and not sufficient garden loungers. The smaller room could have had a queen bed instead of a single. Kitchen had everything and more needed for our requirements, living room was tidy. The outdoor space including the pool was great. The pool man came twice and we saw the gardener's once.

Cute and 100 steps to the beach!

Cute vintage cottage just 100 steps to the beach! Very clean overall but bathroom showers were grungy and desperately need new tile/grout. The pool/patio area is cute, but the door to get there has an alarm that goes off when the door is opened which makes going outside stressful. Can’t open windows for the same reason. Beds are comfortable but squeaky, and in need of more/better pillows. We’ve stayed at several places on Anna Maria Island, and this was a good deal for being so close to the beach. And with a few changes, it could be 5 stars.

Great location

Great property. Great location but getting in and out of the house with the lockbox and dead bolt key combination was a real hassle. We were given the incorrect code to the lockbox, spent 30 minute's trying to get in on our own and with Vaccaso customer support before they realized we wre given the wrong code. This was after traveling almost 8 hrs and it was dark which made it even more frustrating. My wife wss very upside. Every time we left or entered the house the deabbolt key and combination was a real challenge. We wasted a solud hour plus of our vacation trying to get in and out of the house, very frustrating. Some sort of small refund should be issued.

Wouldn't do it again

The only reason this rating is not lower is because of the private pool and proximity to the beach. The kitchen was updated and stocked with essentials. However, the rest of the house could use a complete overhaul. The front door doesn't open all the way unless forced. The beds are a chiropractor's dream and the pillows are dismal. Every single cushion in and out of the house is soiled and we didn't even want to sit on them. The couches have slip covers on them and need to either be cleaned or replaced. All of the items have been mentioned in previous reviews as far back as two years. We mentioned to Vacasa before our rental time that we were concerned about these things but were reassured that they had been addressed. Several of the blinds in the home are not functioning leaving privacy behind. The twin bed in the back bedroom is not attached to the headboard causing it to move around throughout the night. The caulk in both showers is blackened and needs to be replaced. Again, the pool and beach were wonderful but we would never stay in this home again.
