Great location

Great property. Great location but getting in and out of the house with the lockbox and dead bolt key combination was a real hassle. We were given the incorrect code to the lockbox, spent 30 minute's trying to get in on our own and with Vaccaso customer support before they realized we wre given the wrong code. This was after traveling almost 8 hrs and it was dark which made it even more frustrating. My wife wss very upside. Every time we left or entered the house the deabbolt key and combination was a real challenge. We wasted a solud hour plus of our vacation trying to get in and out of the house, very frustrating. Some sort of small refund should be issued.

Great cottage near beach

Everything was as advertised. Comfortable cottage. Close to beach. Really enjoyed the backyard. Enclosed with a tall privacy fence with plenty of tall vegetation giving the sense of a small oasis out your back door.

Not timely help

Unfortunately we had several obstacles to our stay. The showers both had mildew, the microwave was dirty, the Wi-Fi did not work and the pool heater was not on. The housekeeping issues were taken care of and a text message helped us get the Wi-Fi back up. I called Custer support concerning the pool and was told it was too on Saturday to get anyone locally to respond. Monday I would get a call back. That never happened. On Tuesday the dishwasher stopped working. I called and a repairman came the next day and repaired it. But I still got no answer about the pool heat. The pool cleaning company finally came on Thursday afternoon and the pool was heater got our last couple days. The customer service line with Vacasa is somewhere out of the country. They are one extra layer between getting help locally. I would not rent again if they were involved

Cute and 100 steps to the beach!

Cute vintage cottage just 100 steps to the beach! Very clean overall but bathroom showers were grungy and desperately need new tile/grout. The pool/patio area is cute, but the door to get there has an alarm that goes off when the door is opened which makes going outside stressful. Can’t open windows for the same reason. Beds are comfortable but squeaky, and in need of more/better pillows. We’ve stayed at several places on Anna Maria Island, and this was a good deal for being so close to the beach. And with a few changes, it could be 5 stars.

Lovely!

Awesome location! Perfect for a family! Heated pool was perfect with the our chilly November weather. Lovely quiet neighborhood - with many miles of quiet beach walking easily accessible. Interesting shire birds, dolphins and shells to look at and the water was even warm enough to swim in. Many Thanks!

Wonderful cottage

We had a wonderful stay in the cottage. The cottage is very close to the beach (literally less than 2 minutes walk!) which was a huge plus for us. The pool was also a bonus! The house was clean and overall well equipped. My suggestion would be to add a full length mirror. Also a bigger size pan would be helpful (they only had what I would consider medium size). Extra trash bags would also be helpful. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay and would definitely book again!

Great Beach

The distance to the beach was ver short. The beach was wonderful. The backyard and pool was also wonderful. The cleanliness of the house was not sogood. The white sofa was so dirty. Called housekeeping to bring sheets to cover it. All together the house needs a thorough cleaning.. The showers also need a really good cleaning.

Great Beach Cottage - some let downs

Beach Cottage is generally good. We experienced some issues POOL The temperature was insanely high ie 90/95 making it unusable in our second week. Complained to Agent but they insisted heating was off BUT I later discovered Heat Pump was on! SOFAS The white sofa covers were grubby and in need of clean (wash) cleaning protocol here needs to be improved LOCK A bit temperamental OUTSIDE Lacks x2 Sun loungers and the furniture is dark wood when maybe white might lift the vibe (appreciate that this is subjective) OTHER Info pack could be updated and improved - Restaurant info could be better refined. Some establishments closed post Covid. Info upon Beach Equipment hire could be clearer and updated. Access to beach is great so getting beach equipment ie Umbrellas etc is key! There were numerous Beach Chairs and Cart plus Coolers no workable Umbrellas - I feel a beach Cottage should have at least two of these? CLEANING Outside table not cleaned BEDS Fine but x2 Queens and Single - shame there isn’t at least 1 King. Overall we had decent stay - these criticisms are constructive comments for improvement save for pool which spoilt stay - other than temperature Pool is good size and perfect!

Amazing place!

My husband and I, and our two kids (12&15) stayed at this property for a week and didnt want to leave! Super easy check-in and check-out and very clean. Their was a wagon out back with chairs and a shade we could easily tote with our VERY short walk to the beach. The pool was so pretty and definitely big enough and deep enough for my crew! We spent all of our evenings relaxing in the shade in the pool. We ran out of propane on our first night and called the number in the informational binder and someone was out in less than 15min! I would absolutely stay here again!

Mostly enjoyable vacation.

Great location. Faults found and reported, most concerning of all was an exposed electrical socket in the bathroom. Others were loose taps, sink plug didn't work, large gap at the bottom of a light switch, poor Wi-Fi at times and not sufficient garden loungers. The smaller room could have had a queen bed instead of a single. Kitchen had everything and more needed for our requirements, living room was tidy. The outdoor space including the pool was great. The pool man came twice and we saw the gardener's once.

Needs some fixing on things

I would like to say that the home was clean , but there is some things in the home that need to be addressed. The blinds in kitchen and little bedroom are broken, lights on back porch are hanging all over need to be reinstalled neatly , the covers on sofas need to get laundered, also ones on porch, porch needs pressure washing has mold all over it , The one thing that was misleading on the site said it sleeps six , well only 2 queen size beds and one single bed , not sure where the sixth person is suppose to sleep ?? Unfortunately one had to sleep on sofa . It was nice to walk out back gate onto beach but some things need to be addressed in the home . I would rent again if these things were taken care of .
