We loved our week at Avalon. The property is great. We had plenty of room. The pool area is cozy and private. The view from the roof top deck is absolutely amazing. It is virtually steps to a beautiful white sandy beach and since there is no public parking nearby, the stretch of beach in front of the house was not crowded a single day of our stay. The location is great. It’s on a neighborhood street yet close to everything. And to make it even better, AMI Locals makes customer satisfaction their number one priority. We will definitely stay here again.

Perfect Location

We came with two families of 4 and the house fit out needs perfectly. Elevator is a nice touch since there were alot of stairs. We did have some issues with the pool temp and hot temp staying warm. It was cold upon arrival and once we figured it out were able to keep playing the game or turning the heat. Property management was on it, and helped us and responded quickly every step of the way. They had tons of pools toys, they had beach toys, chairs, wagan, tents, coolers, anything you woild need for the short walk over to the beach Which was perfect having 4 little kids who want to change clothes, eat, one wants to go back the others dont. This location was absolutely perfect. We enjoyed every moment and plan to come back agaim next year for our spring break.

Fantastic Property

Our family (toddlers through grandparents) just returned from an amazing two weeks at Avalon (our second stay). This is a beautifully maintained, well appointed home with a beautiful pool just steps from the beach in a quiet neighborhood. The management company is very responsive. We've already booked for next year!

Great place with great property managers

House was as described with ocean views and walk across street to beach. Property managers were easy to communicate with and responsive. We would go back and not hesitate renting from AMI locals.

Perfect week at Avalon House!

We had an amazing week at The Avalon House. It is beautiful, perfectly located, and like the pictures show. The decor is tasteful, and the furnishings are comfortable. The kitchen was well appointed, linens and towels, thick and fluffy! The pool was private and the water was delightfully warm! The spa heated quickly and we used it often. Having two friends that required the use of the elevator, it was a blessing to have for them (was in good repair, clean and operated well!) and certainly helped getting our bags in from the cars an well as groceries. Do yourself a favor and stay at Avalon. You will enjoy the entire stay, working with AMI Locals, and we can’t wait to return again!

Great experience!

This was our first trip to Anna Maria Island. Great laid back beach vibe.... House is perfectly located across from the beach. Very roomy and comfortable . Backyard has total privacy with pool and jacuzzi. The kitchen was very well appointed. We will definitely be back next year.

Poor Communication, but Great Rental Location

During our stay there was a plumbing issue that caused the entire master suite to be an unlivable space, as well as the entire third floor to smell like sewage. The dirty water from the plumbing issue then dripped from the ceiling vent in the kitchen on top of the island, kitchen table, and floor. The guests who were staying on the third floor ended up leaving a day early due to this issue.  While the AMI team was responsive in sending maintenance out to address the issue. I had requested to speak with a manager to discuss compensation for 2 nights stay or a discounted rate for those two nights. Unfortunately, each time I called the office I was told someone would call me back. This NEVER happened. I had to physically come to the office just to have someone acknowledge this request. The lack of proactive communication made it feel like the request was being purposefully ignored. I would have thought it would be in the interest of AMI Locals to contact us proactively to try and resolve the issue, check on the guest experience, and offer a solution for the guests that had been displaced from their rooms. I prefer to vacation where I trust that I will be able to communicate with the property management in a efficient and timely fashion. Unfortunately we will not be returning to a stay with AMI Locals.

Avalon Beach Getaway

This home could not have been in a better location, one block back from the busy traffic of Gulf Drive, yet just a short walk or drive to a shopping area with a Walgreen’s and Publix grocery store. It had a great view of the ocean from the kitchen/ great room on the main level and master bedroom above. The crow’s nest at the top allowed beautiful sunset views. The kitchen was well equipped with dishes, glassware and small appliances- toaster, crock pot, mixer and hand mixer. When we arrived one shower was dripping, but a repairman came that day. Access to the beach was right across the street and it is a great neighborhood for bike riding. The pool and hot tub take up most of the back yard, but mature vegetation shields you from neighbors all around. Near the pool is an outdoor seating area with a mounted TV. We would definitely choose this home again.

Perfect for our family Aug. 24-31, 2019

We loved Avalon. The photos on the VRBO website are correct, nothing is exaggerated like you find in many listings. I would certainly recommend this rental and AMI as your rental agency. With 4 kids under 8, proximity to the beach is key. This house is one house from the corner where the beach access is, across the very quiet street. We were literally on the beach in less than two minutes from the front door. The pool was great to have especially on the two days that the beach was windy and water kind of rough. This is a very quiet end of the beach and we never saw more than 10 people anywhere near our beach canopy, never were we crowded and we didnt have to deal with younger folks who like to have music blaring. The house was very clean, the linens clean and beds comfortable. The elevator was nice to move gear and groceries to the upper floor. There are plenty of beach, bath and kitchen linens no need to bring your own. In the garage is a beach wagon, beach toys, beach chairs and umbrella along with a kayak. If you dont want to bring all yours or you fly in, Avalon is a good choice. From the first inquiry I made about Avalon to the day we left, management was very responsive.

Great house in a prime location

We loved staying at this house. It was clean and up to date with plenty of space for our extended family to spread out. The location was so convenient to Publix and Walgreens that we drove our golf cart over many times. We were also within 5-10 mins of either end of the island. Would stay here again for sure!

Great time!

We had a terrific family gathering at Avalon! Pool, kitchen and living area, plus bedrooms were perfect for us! We especially appreciate the quick attention of the property manager to our needs. The beach was incredible!
