We had a nice stay on Anna Maria Island. I normally am not one to complain, but we had a lot of issues that we did not expect. Claire, the property manager, was very responsive to any questions or concerns we had which we appreciated. The pool was nice, but we were disappointed with the continuous issues with it. When we arrived the pool need cleaning and the hot tub was not functioning properly. The pool maintenance person had to fix our pool four times during our stay. It was not until our last day on the island that the pool repair person finally replaced two parts for our pool so that it would function properly. We also had issues with the air conditioning. A HVAC company looked at the A/C twice. They were able to provide a minor fix, but the home still struggled to stay cool if the windows were closed when the temperature outside was above 65 degrees . For some reason the master bedroom had a very strong odor of pine-sol cleaner. All the other rooms smelled fine, but we had to re-wash the bedding (including the mattress pad) in the master bedroom because the pine-sol odor was so strong. The mattress in the master bedroom was also in terrible shape. We had to turn it 90 degrees because there was a huge dip in the middle of the mattress. The fan in the master bedroom also had an annoying squeaking sound so we had to sleep with the fan off. The clothes dryer was not drying properly so it took three full cycles to fully dry a load of towels. The faucet in the kitchen was in serious need of repair. We enjoyed our stay in Anna Maria, but we were disappointed with the quality of this property. We felt this property was tired and needed some repairs/upgrades. Next time we stay at Anna Maria we will be looking for a different place to stay.
