Generations at the Beach

We had a great time at this property with 3 generations of family. Everyone had space and was comfortable. The patio space was exceptional and we spent every evening out there. The beach was a short walk away. Very well equipped. My parents - who are in their 80s - were able to navigate with ease.

Family vacation

The beds were very small for adults. Did not seem to be Queen as was listed. Not very clean. The pool was listed with full sun and not one time was the sun over 10% of the entire back yard. Couldn’t control the hot tub. Was unable to use the hot tub before 10am or after 10pm. The hot tub lights wouldn’t turn on at night only during the day. We did have a few other problems that the owner did quickly resolve which was nice. Pillows were flimsy on beds. Two of the shower heads had no pressure and we ran out of hot water.

Everything you need!

We had a great vacation at this rental. We used both the pool and the hot tub and enjoyed walking to the beach-nearby. My only suggestion would be to freshen up the sofas. They are getting a bit old and pilled. I’d also get a new vacuum for the house.

Nice house and location

I really enjoyed the house. The pool and attached hot tub was nice to come back to and relax. I felt like the house was pretty central on the island and the free Trolly around the island definitely helps. We were also right across the street from the beach and could walk there in 6-8 minutes. There are a few things I hope get fixed at the house: 1.) The two back bedroom outlets don’t work aside from the bathroom and 2.) the beds are extremely hard and I had a hard time sleeping in it. But, the house is well accommodated otherwise, very cute and well located.

Great Accommodations

This house was perfect for our family. We only had a few learning the home issues like how to operate the pool because it has a lot of leaves and stuff in the skimmer that stopped the pool completely. We done a lot of “help” to solve the issue like cleaning it and emptying the filters, but once we got it up and going it was great! There was an issue with one of the back bedrooms not staying cool, but the fans they provided helped. Overall, we would stay at this property again, and will book with AMI Accommodations again! Thanks for the welcome to AMI!

Great time, older house with some upgrades,

We had a very nice stay, however there was a blind hanging on the front door and a pice broken when we got there, it was laying on the floor. The back east bedroom toilet sounds like is a plane taking off, thw electric outlets on back porch don't work Otherwise great stay

Great location

Great location to beach basically a block. We had 6 adults in house with room for meals, sleeping and sitting by the pool. The bad: kitchen needs updating, we don’t eat out every night because we like to cook together, kitchen is very small and can’t adequately fit two adults in it. Needs more utensils etc. no pantry for food. Air conditioning did not keep home cool, obviously this is a known issue because they did have box fans that we ran all day. Overall it was a good location for our first visit to AMI

Beach cottage

This house was prefect for the 8 adults on this trip. A 3 minute walk to the beach and an amazing pool area that is very private!!! The only issue is that you have to go through the bedrooms or front door to get to the pool area. It was not an issue for us, but I know that some would not like that. The house comes with everything you need for relaxing by the pool and it also has beach chairs! The hot tub was nice to relax in after a long day!! I hate that the price has doubled for next year because I loved this house!!

Great place to stay on AMI

We had a great time with our five children. The living space was nice and open. The beds were all comfortable and the place had a clean beachy vibe. The outdoor shower with warm water was a definite plus for rinsing off the sand after going to the beach. Our only complaint was that it needed more kitchen cookware and eating utensils. There were only enough utensils for one meal, so we were constantly washing our forks and spoons. It would also have been nice to have a pizza pan, a 9x13 baking dish, and a larger pot. Other than that we loved the place!

I wish it were different....

I’ve intentionally waited a few weeks to write this review, and I have to say that I’m just as disappointed today as I was the day we left. This was a trip for my family including our three boys, my mother and a grand mother. I chose this house for the location and privacy. We planned to cook most days and wanted a nice kitchen for that reason. I read some of the previous reviews and thought they seemed a bit petty in regards to the forks that didn’t match and the “dollar tree” utensils but I have to say after my stay I whole heartedly agree. Upon arrival I found dirty clothes in the floor of the master closet as well as clothes in the floor of the closet in another bedroom. This gave me instant anxiety about the cleanliness of the home. The first day I found a dead roach in the cabinet. On day 4 I was eating dinner with my family when a giant roach/water bug of sorts came from out of the laundry closet and walked across the floor in the dining room. Honestly I wanted to leave right then and there. We paid for 7 nights and I could barely enjoy myself as I was constantly feeling there were bugs everywhere. The kitchen was worse than I’ve seen in some fraternity houses. The stove top pans were scratched up, had plastic melted on some of them, and were barely usable. There was ONE baking pan for the oven which was blackened with baked on oil and was as thin as could be, it wasn’t even big enough to fit a pizza. The coffee pot was so dirty and disgusting that we had to buy vinegar to run through it before it was usable.... and I could go on. I have been renting homes and condos in Florida for decades. I have never been more disgusted and disappointed in my entire life. The owner is totally hands off and has hired a management company to “take care of things”. When I reached out on the first night with some questions there was no response. I had to follow up with them to get answers. It’s so very clear that this home is not owned by someone who wants you to have an enjoyable stay, but instead someone who is only in it for profit and doesn’t care one bit about the cleanliness or presentation of the property. I called and let them know about the bugs and begged them to have it sprayed and cleaned properly for the next guests. I would 100% never stay here again. STAY SOMEWHERE ELSE.

Cute beach cottage

The Beach cottage was really nice and comfortable! The pool area was great and the proximity to the beach was fantastic. The cottage was not stocked with extra trash bags or toilet paper so make sure to get those basic items. We all had a wonderful time!

Wonderful property for house, location, and pool privacy

Highly recommend this property for our whole family. We hope to visit AMI again soon and stay here. Has a few quirks, but well worth it and so many benefits.

Beautiful beach location

The house is clean and pretty. Beautiful decorated and comfortable beds. Plenty of towels and cookware. Smaller bedrooms and living space than you’d expect for a 4 bed 3 bath but it is all lower level and that’s what we were looking for. After calling twice and asking for the broken ceiling fan to be replaced, it never was. One blade is broken and the mosquito are bad around the pool. The fan would have helped deter them :( The did I replace the squeaky box spring the day before we checked out. One thing that would have been a use improvement would be To replace the “dollar tree” flatware, and replace all the dinnerware with matching microwaveable dishes and a matching set of glassware. Overall it is nice place and easy walk to the beach

Beach Cottage

Pros: Loved it! Beach so close, great pool, clean. I would not bring 8 people as sitting area small but 4 was perfect and 6 would probably work. Cons: Only 2 beach chairs as far as beach supplies. That’s about the only negative. We are thinking of Beach Cottage next year for a month!!

My family and I enjoyed our week stay. The house was very clean and had plenty of room for 8 people to relax. The pool and hot tub were a joy. We did have a problem with the Wi-Fi, but did figure out a way to use it. Would come back. Thank you for everything

Great place

Loved the house! Exactly as advertised. Pet friendly with a fence around the pool area. I would definitely book again. Just beware of noise after 10pm as the rear neighbor will call the police and first offense is a $75 ticket....

Great stay!!!

The location was great! It was just a short walk to the beach! Check in/out and procedures with AMI Accommodations was excellent! The only complaint I have was there was a hair in one of the beds when we pulled the cover back, but that stuff happens! No big deal! The pool and hot tub worked perfectly! We took our own, but there was beach chairs, about four or five, and two umbrellas available for our use. There was also a great grill and lots of towels, both bath and beach. Great place. It comfortably slept eight, five adults and three children, all under ten. Thanks for a great family vacation!

Island time

Nice property , however with the mesquites in the morning & evening we had to burn citronella constantly .... a outdoor fan would have been a BIG help in keeping them down , also there are some old rusty chairs against the fence needing trashed we hauled old broken umbrellas & a bag of DOG poop left behind from previous guests out to the trash . So Outdoor area needs better maintained before guests arrive ! All in all great location and would recommend this property !

Excellent location, no hassle transaction!

This property is in a great location, 5 minute walk to a beautiful beach, close to everything you need, the house was perfect, 6 adults accommodated easily! Beautiful pool comfy beds and fully equipped with everything we needed, add food and your favourite beverage and ENJOY! Thanks to James the pool guy, a local guy who took time to tell us where to go for good food and entertainment! Cheers

Anna Marie Island - Beach Cottage

Loved the area, house close to beach (600 foot walk), rented bikes (from Lazy Turtle which was awesome guy to deal with), used free trolley for all the travel we needed to do. We did rent a pontoon and went on 3 hour tour (actually 8 and it was fantastic). Of course the weather was perfect for most of the week and plenty of restaurants to hit (Harry's and Mermaid) were my favorite.
