Anniversary at the beach

This house was spotless, we were very impressed with how clean everything was. The elevator was amazing, I don't know how we'll go back to climbing stairs again like normal people, lol. The beach was beautiful and we spent a lot of time on the porch people watching and listening to the waves. Shower water pressure, beds, reclining chairs were all top notch. The neighborhood was super quiet, and there are a couple restaurants and a small market within walking distance. We had one minor issue with the elevator, completely our fault because we didn't close the door all the way. We called the property management office, Stephanie at the office was awesome and maintenance arrived in less than 20 minutes. You just don't get better than that! The only thing I suggest is to read the provided information for the "what to bring" section. You'll need to bring everything, including hand-washing soap for the kitchen and bathrooms, and dish-washing soap, condiments, and garbage bags. We didn't read closely enough, so had to make a quick trip to the Holly Ridge Walmart. No big deal, but if I had read closer we would have packed these items. In summary, we would absolutely 100% stay here again. It was a great few days, and a wonderful way to celebrate our anniversary.

Fun Vacation

The house was really nice. Their beds were quite hard, and we could not use the elevator when we got there but that was because the maids didn’t close the door all the way in the garage. I did not get a call back from Carolina retreats until the next day about the elevator. I thought they should’ve called back sooner. Also, it did not seeing the in the description that there is two bars, next-door to the house. There was loud music playing until 11 o’clock every night, so if you have young children, that would be a problem. On the nights, I was really tired and wanted to go to bed early. I couldn’t sleep until they were done, other than that the house was really nice, we loved the decks, and the beach was wonderful!

Overall an excellent place to stay

Location, location, location!! How can you go wrong with a house right on the beach?! We were all impressed with how comfortable the beds were too. The kitchen was well stocked with a variety of pots, pans, and utensils. My only note for the owner would be for the cleanliness of the house. I am well aware that it can be difficult to impossible to clean out all the sand and salt on the floors, furniture, and windows, but there were more missed marks other than just sand and salt. The toilets were moldy and looked like they hadn't been cleaned in several weeks. The shower curtains were also moldy. It was a bit of a bummer, but again, it was a beautiful house in a great location, and we would rent here again!

Beach is best in October!

Family from Missouri joined us for a wonderful week at Sunshiny Daze. The elevator made it so easy to get luggage and groceries in and out of the house and avoiding the steps during our stay. The house was very clean and nicely furnished with lots of space for us to spread out. The kitchen was well equipped, although somewhat disorganized. We loved the covered deck with the view of the ocean and the sunrises! The beach is expansive but not many shells. The beds were the only complaint -- very uncomfortable. One bed had a 3 inch foam pad which was perfect. The other beds would certainly benefit from a similar pad. Thanks for sharing your house with others.

Our first ever family vacation

Sunshiny Daze was spacious, comfortable and well equipped. We loved the three porches, the round dinner table, the magnificent view, the ceiling fans throughout and the Bible verses throughout the house.

Great location!

We recently rented this property and were very pleased with the location and the cleanliness of it. The home was well appointed with cooking utensils and a great ice maker! We would definitely stay here again. Close proximity to a pier and very pleasantly surprised with the space on the beach as it is not crowded at all. A big plus in my book! Looking forward to next years rental for a hidden gem of a property
