Girls Beach Weekend

The location was perfect! We walked to restaurants and to shops during our stay. The access to the beach and the flexibility of our host made this a beautiful and relaxing weekend.

Spectacular week in Surf City, NC

House was very clean, bright and welcoming. Well stock kitchen. Fourth bedroom is in the lowest lever with no bathroom at that level. Otherwise great house for 8 people.

Great beach house

Spent a week here with 11 members of my family. Perfect beach location. No pool, but we brought along an inflatable pool for the youngsters - especially good on rainy days. Great house location - close to stores, restaurants, the pier. Sharon helped out a lot with good open and close instructions. Good Wifi. We'd like to come back.

Great, except…

On first day we discovered a substantial leak in second floor bathroom ceiling coming from third floor bathroom shower use. We immediately contacted owner and maintenance person listed on information we had. Never had any feedback rest of week. Couldn’t use that shower anymore that week. Also, sheets and towels were left for us that we did not request. Didn’t use them. Otherwise, beautiful house, location, play areas for kids!! Loved it:)

Really Sweet Duplex Property w/ beautiful beach access!

Had a lovely time at the beach. The property was clean and decently stocked. The beach access was extremely convenient, and the view was absolutely breathtaking!

Location location location!

Our family of 8 had a wonderful beach week! We rented surfboards a block away, walked to Shaka Tacos and ice cream, and enjoyed watching surfers at the pier while drinking morning coffee on the deck. The beach access and swimming in the waves was perfect. The house was comfortable for 8 of us. One note: the 4th bedroom on the ground floor is tight for the queen bed which makes it hard to keep clean and the only non-en suite bathroom is on the 3rd floor. It was a great week and we would stay at Catie’s Cove again.

2 week stay at Catie’s Cove

We stayed at this property for 2 weeks and Sharon was great to work with. She responded quickly to any messages. The location is PERFECT. The unit is next to public beach access but not bothersome. We would definitely stay here again.

Memorable!

The host was incredible! She responded fast, was very professional and very welcoming. She really put the cherry on the top with this trip. The house was very clean. The views were great. The kids were able to go to the beach just below the house. Furniture and beds were all comfortable. We had everything we needed in the kitchen. The kids had beach toys to play with. I couldn’t ask for anything better. My wife enjoyed this birthday trip and everyone is asking when we will go back again. I will definitely be back. Thank you to the host for everything!

Fantastic Stay

We had an absolutely fantastic stay at this property. The home was very clean upon arrival, and it was honestly the most well-stocked home I have ever stayed in - we really only had to bring ourselves and our groceries (and linens). Honestly, the only note I would make to future visitors, is that while there are plenty of beach chairs for everyone to use, they are quite small. We will 100% return!!

Perfect family getaway

We stayed at Catie’s Cove for a week with our immediate family and it was the perfect place for an awesome week. The pictures of the house do not do it justice as it is much nicer in person than what the pictures depict. The location of the home is awesome as you can literally walk anywhere you need to get for the week. We took advantage of the nearby IGA food mart, DayBreak donuts, Shaka Taco, and Mac Daddy’s.. to name a few. The beach front is beautiful and we spent most of our time enjoying the waves and sunshine. The house is equipped with everything needed to cook meals at the house and plenty of space for everyone to gather for meals. The only difficult part of the stay was that we had an infant who went to sleep much earlier than everyone else and the sound of footsteps from the top floor could be very loud in the lower levels, but it was minor compared to how great everything else was. Loved the home and the area and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a beach getaway.

Catie’s Cove Surf City

Linens and towels had to be rented so we brought our own from WA state. We have never rented a place where these were not furnished. I had a difficult time getting ahold of the host. Very frustrating. The place was clean, but lots of stairs which was not a problem for us.

Great location, beautiful sunsets from the deck. I knew there were steps from other reviews but if you have any issues at all with steps you might need to pick another place. The main living/kitchen area in the house is on the top floor. Master bedrooms on the 2nd floor and parking on the bottom floor. Needless to say no matter what you are doing in the house you have to constantly navigate long flights of steep stairs. Young, healthy, need a workout??? This is your place!

Birthday Surprise

Catie's Cove was perfect for a small surprise party that I had for my son's 18th birthday party. He loves to surf and fish, so being oceanfront was awesome! The views were phenomenal, especially the sunrise. The house had everything we needed and then some! We most definitely will be back!
