We had a wonderful stay here during our Surf City vacation with friends. The house was clean and comfortable for adults and small kids. We loved the spacious upstairs living area and the location is amazing!! My only feedback is that the downstairs bunk bed room is a bit cramped for two kids with the basketball game. But it was very manageable. We would definitely come back!

Location location location! One might think having a public access to the beach might be a concern. No worries! Moose or intrusion from that pass through and did not excessively crowd the beach. The kitchen was very well stocked with quality cookware (no scratched cheap teflon pans). Two blenders and a crockpot. Plenty of dishes and glassware! Nearby ice cream shop, surf shop, and small IGA grocery store were used and appreciated.

Amazing beach house and you can’t beat the location!! Jamie was wonderful to answer any questions. Home was very clean and beautiful and perfect for large families. Only complaint is the king bed was horrible the mattress needs to be replaced asap. My husband and I both left with back pain from the horrible mattress. For the price point and it being the primary a better quality bed should have definitely been used. The other beds in the house were not bad. We would definitely stay here again I would just make sure the king mattress was changed.

Very well equipped, ideal location. Accommodated the needs of teenagers, parents and grandparents. Beach amenities like boogie boards, beach shade, chairs were abundant and made for a great indoor and outdoor experience.

It was the most beautiful and enjoyable stay I have had at the beach. I have never been to Surf City before. The house was amazing. Right on the beach. Everything you needed and more. The hot tub was perfect. Cleanness of the home was 100%. I didn’t want to leave. Thank you so much for a beautiful stay.

Everything was great and well provisioned. The location was perfect as it was walking distance to everything in surf city and short drive to Publix. Lots of new beach chairs and a shade sail (shibumi). Great layout with family gathering on top floor, adults second kids on first. Loved the location would definitely rent again.

Amazing beach house

This beach house was huge! There was lots of room for everyone to spread out. The basketball and foosball were great for the boys. We loved that the two queen rooms went out to the hot tub. There are 4 full showers! They also provide shower towels and beach towels. The two washers and dryers were great to keep up with the towels. The top floor is stunning. Beautiful views and desk. The huge table was great for a big family dinner. You can’t beat the location. It’s a short walk to get a coffee, ice cream or dinner. Thanks for an amazing stay!

Great house

Great property and especially great location—beach right out the back door and many shops and restaurants within a very short walking distance. House is well stocked with all the necessities and on-site manager responds immediately with any questions or concerns. We’ve stayed at this property twice now and can’t wait to return.

Amazing ocean views in the middle of town

Perfect property for our mini family reunion. Gorgeous views of the ocean and pier, and literally steps away from everything Surf City has to offer. We enjoyed watching surfers and dolphins daily from the expansive third floor living area and deck. The local property manager, Christine, was friendly, helpful and extremely responsive. Highly recommend!

Just what the doctor ordered

Overall great place. The location was the best part...right on the ocean, right off the bridge, and walking distance to restaurants, shops, grocery, and night life. We gave the house a four in a couple of areas because it just doesn't show as well as the pictures...overall it was surface clean, but it's definitely time for a deep clean (beach houses are tough with climate and sand...so some is understandable). My preference is that if it's pictured a certain way, it should be that way when you arrive...and this one fell short a bit on that. Best views in the house are from the third level (kitchen and living room)....great deck with elevated chairs to see the full beach, ocean, and sky! Having said that, we'd rent this one again.

Perfect getaway

We recently had the pleasure of staying at The Sweet Escape, and I can’t recommend it highly enough. The property is conveniently located near shops and restaurants that are within walking distance. The beach house comes with all the amenities that one could ask for. The fully equipped kitchen made it easy to prepare family meals, and there is an outdoor grill to use for cookouts. The deck is furnished with lounge chairs as well as 4 tall chairs, so you have unobstructed views of the ocean. The house was exceptionally clean, the beds were comfortable, and all the linens were provided. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, we definitely will book the Sweet Escape again!!

Gorgeous views with everything you need!

Perfect house for 3 families for a long weekend. House had everything we needed (and then some). And they were very responsive to small concerns. Loved being beachfront and also able to walk to Shaka Tacos! Thanks for a great get away.

Wonderful family home

We had a fabulous time at Sweet Escape for a family birthday celebration. Beautiful home with fabulous views. Loved being close to food options and pier. Kitchen is gorgeous and well stocked. Christine was so kind and accommodating. Recommend highly!

Amazing family time

What a great way for extended family to be together and have fun. We ate walking distance in town, cooked one dinner, enjoyed the beach and pier, saw dolphins, spinner sharks, and spent Saturday watching the surf competition out our back door. We went to the Turtle rescue tour, and on an all you can eat oyster boat-ecology tour. Late September was a wonderful time to go. It wasn’t too hot or humid and being from Arizona we didn’t mind a few short showers. We highly recommend this beautiful home.

Great Location!!

This house sits in a perfect location with local restaurants, coffee shop/ice cream and the local grocery store. You can walk out the back door from two bedrooms or the upstairs living room and head right to the beach!! Christine was excellent on communication. Would surely recommend this home.

Oceanfront dream!

What a beautiful property and location. We had enough parking for 5 cars and once we parked them, we walked everywhere! The house accommodated our multiple families so well and we loved being steps from the beach. The beach itself was also well maintained and beautiful.

Good size for family

We enjoyed our stay . House was nice bedrooms were small better for children than adults . Master bedroom was comfortable. Living area nice but couch not real comfortable .Property manager was nice and replied quickly. Overall great place to stay but alittle pricey
