  • Nueva propiedad! Dunes Lodge es una casa moderna de mediados de siglo recientemente restaurada en Laketown, Michigan, construida originalmente en 1961. El albergue es de fácil acceso pero privado en 4 acres de bosques con las mejores playas del lago Michigan a solo un paseo en bicicleta y las ciudades turísticas de Saugatuck / Douglas y Holanda a menos de cinco minutos en coche.

    El albergue cuenta con cuatro espacios al aire libre directamente conectados a la casa: un acogedor porche para cafés matutinos, una terraza superior soleada para descansar, un patio familiar para cenar y un patio privado para el romance en el dormitorio principal. Un pozo de fuego en el borde del bosque reúne a la familia para fogatas nocturnas. Un enorme patio cubierto de hierba y un sendero arbolado hacen que la casa sea espaciosa e íntima, perfecta para familias generacionales.

    La casa moderna se ha actualizado con todos los electrodomésticos y tecnología nuevos. El entretenimiento y las redes wi-fi de interior / exterior de alta velocidad son las mejores y más nuevas disponibles. Tanto la habitación principal como el dormitorio principal cuentan con teatros con sonido envolvente completo para ver televisores de pantalla grande y la música se puede transmitir a sistemas de sonido al aire libre de alta fidelidad en la terraza, el porche y ambos patios.

    El impresionante diseño de la casa y los terrenos fue realizado por el escultor y artista de medios Scott Hessels, con sede en Hong Kong, quien preservó y actualizó sus distintivos ángulos arquitectónicos y trabajos en madera. Las obras de arte en la casa son de su colección personal y presentan piezas únicas con historias coloridas. Los gabinetes y escaleras originales hechos a mano, una hermosa explosión de líneas y ángulos, han sido restaurados y ahora figuran como hitos arquitectónicos de mediados de siglo. Los terrenos contienen arces, pinos y robles centenarios, con un jardín de rododendros y una variedad de árboles nativos locales.

We loved our stay at Dunes Lodge! The property is beautiful and it was perfect for our family — grandparents and kids and everyone in between.

Absolutely stunning home! Location was fantastic! Minutes from downtowns in Saugatuck, Douglass and Holland! The layout of the home made it such a unique and memorable experience for both my wife and I and our children! We cannot wait to visit again

Hidden Gem

Our Family of 4 needed a place to stay for a wedding for 5 days, & didn't want to spend a lot of money. What we found w/ this listing was a secluded lot, surrounded by trees, close to everything( within 10 min.or so), & a beautifully remodeled & upgraded house. Definitely recommend & will stay there again if we are in the area!

Beautiful property

The home is a beautiful mid century modern design with cool history of its original owner. We used it as a home base for our daughters wedding at the Felt Estate which was a 5 minute drive.

Family time

Our family was in the area for a surprise party. This property was comfortable for a 90 year old as well as a 21 year old. It was as described in a quiet neighborhood, tucked in woods. Very peaceful.

Beautiful home in a tranquil setting

Dunes Lodge is set in the woods between Holland and Saugatuck, so it is a great location. The house itself has been completely updated and has lots of windows and an open feel that is perfect for the setting. We enjoyed the well-appointed kitchen as well. We had to draw straws for the master bedroom suite as it is very large and the most desirable bedroom in the house!

Family vacation and antique show in one

The house was more than what we needed! So great to have the extra space for the kids to spread out. House is very comfortable and property is beautiful with back yard fire pit. I was conducting business in Holland at the antique show which was about 15 minutes away and my husband and our daughters would go to Saugatuck during the day, which was only about 10 minutes away. We would absolutely stay here again.

Only negative is no bathroom upstairs. Water from sinks/shower smelled a bit like sewage.

Was sooo well designed!!! Few of the ceilings lights and outdoor lights were burned out. Much enjoyed!! Thank you !!!

Beautiful home and setting

We liked house and surroundings! Easy access to Saugutuck and Holland. Only gave it 4 stars because air conditioning wasn’t working properly! Even though management tried to fix it while we were there.

Family getaway

The property it's self is beautiful and in a wonderful location between Saugatuck and Holland. Our main issue with the stay is the home DESPERATELY needs a whole home water filtration system. The well water smells TERRIBLE like rotten eggs from all sources. It made showering and using the water for cooking or drinking extremely unpleasant. Their is filtered water on from the fridge but it flows exceptionally slowly. Such care and detail was put into renovating this property I'm shocked they would overlooks the water issue.

Serious problems with cleanliness.

I'm going to write the negative first because I believe that a $500 service fee, let alone the high cost of this property, is way too much to have these issues. We spent the better part of the first two days cleaning bathrooms, moping floors, washing bedding, cleaning and dusting furniture, etc to make this home sanitary for our five night stay. Bad cobwebs and bugs in several corners Main floors not clean and smelled. Pubic hair on bed cover and smelled. Quite a bit of Pubic hair in bathroom and smelled unclean. Doors and windows covered with fingerprints showing that they were not cleaned. There was food under couches. Infestation of Eastern cicada killer hornets in backyard. There are mice in the house that got into our food. Two entry door handles we're very loose and sloppy. (I happen to have tools and we tightened them) The positive is that, they did an excellent job with your renovation of this property. As far as the home and it's amenities, it is very nice. The outdoor fire pit was excellent but could only be used after dark because of the hornet issue. In the end, we will not stay at this property again. Thank you.

AWESOME PROPERTY!

Stayed with family, age range 50-82. Modern yet comfortable home. Easy for parents to access main floor bedroom suite. Enjoyed the almost daily turkeys and occasional deer that wandered through. Great place for our family reunion of 7.

Worth it

Quiet location near to many outdoors opportunities and a short drive to Saugatuck or Holland. The house itself has a wow factor. It was expensive but overall worth it.
