Wonderful stay, very comfortable and well equipped property. Pristine grounds. Large pools with beautiful views. We hired a car which gave us the freedom to explore the island, and would recommend this. We’d happily return.

Hi AmandaWe have all enjoyed a wonderful stay at Windswept. The house & gardens are beautiful. It was lovely to watch the birds & monkeys & listen to nature's soundtrack. So very tranquil. Access to the gym, pool, bar, restaurant & tennis courts was an extra bonus which we made the most of using. We are glad we hired a car to give us the chance to explore more of the island. Every day was different & equally good. It was very helpful to have contact with yourself before our trip & with Marcia before & during. She was an angel, for filling every request. We would definitely recommend staying here, We didn't want to leave!Thanks again for letting us stay.BW Carol & Bill

Infinite joy - a magical place to stay

This is a superb property in an idyllic, safe and secluded, exclusive setting. We loved every minute at Sugar Hill, and this property was perfect for us - a family of 5 (three teenagers). We wanted for nothing, and when we next visit Barbados, we will be sure to stay here again. Absolutely perfect. A magical place to stay.

Great stay

Marcia the property manager is absolutely fantastic. She makes the stay and you’ll want for nothing! The house is very spacious and I’d imagine a great Fit for families! We had a great stay and enjoyed our time at sugar hill, the location is absolutely perfect, We had a car and explored the island. Amanda was very quick to respond and more than happy to help with some amendments. Overall we had a brilliant time

Lovely family accommodation for my 40th Birthday holiday

We thoroughly enjoyed staying at Windswept,it catered for our family perfectly. With there being kids pool / beach toys there was great as we didn’t need to pack any (Obviously they are from whatever is left from previous visitors. Having the board games was anlso a nice touch, my 4 year old son loved playing the game Canine Chaos but decided to use it as a big game of Snap! He said the plunge pool was his pool, the the spa was like a bubble bath for him…he didn’t want to leave “HIS holiday home”

Beautiful view and private garden

We really enjoyed our stay at this lovely home. The view from the upper deck is spectacular. We spent every morning enjoying coffee and breakfast on the upper deck and in the evening enjoying the wonderful tree frogs and their soothing songs. The lower deck was very private with well maintained beautiful garden. Hot tub was wonderful ! Communication with the owner was helpful, easy and efficient. Greetings in person from the property manager was pleasant and appreciated. All is provided for a great stay and beach days. The infinity pool and gym and restaurant bar at the Sugar Hill club house is just wonderful. Thank you for sharing your lovely home with us! We hope to be back soon

Fabulous Property & Location

We were a family of 8 in Barbados to celebrate a family wedding.We love Sugar Hill as a location with its excellent facilities, and Windswept had everything we could possibly need for an enjoyable stay - beautiful, clean and stylishly furnished home with magnificent views of the Caribbean Sea. The property is well located on Sugar Hill close to the reception, main infinity pool (spectacular) and The Deck restaurant, and only a short drive to Holetown and the many glorious beaches on the West Coast - need a car but we always hire a car.Marcia is excellent - so helpful, nothing is too much trouble and she organised our groceries on arrival and our transport from the airport as we were a large group travelling with a 20 month old. Natasha was great too.We all had a wonderful time at Windswept and cannot speak highly enough of the property and Sugar Hill.Thank you Chris & Amanda - we would happily return and recommend your home to friends and family. Thank you also for recommending the wedding planner - excellent.

Perfect for a family vacay with great indoor-outdoor living

This year our Barbados trip was a last-minute decision, so we were glad we found "Windswept" and could be accommodated at short notice, with friendly mails going back and forth quickly and efficiently between the owners, their manager and us. Quiet and laid-back Sugar Hill is a favourite of ours, which never disappoints, and nor did Mandy's villa. Surrounded by a lush tropical garden it is exactly as advertised and as shown in the pictures, so it would house a large family plus friends in an extra guesthouse. It's spacious and bright, the beds are comfy, and the kitchen is well-stocked. Although it's just meters away from two truly beautiful pools, the plunge pool in the garden is still a nice touch. The ocean view from the very large balcony is really gorgeous, so it's a perfect place to wind down. Enjoy!

Sugar Hill

This was our second stay at the Sugar Hill Resort/Development, the first time at a tiny apartment very suited to the two of us, however this visit we needed more space as it was 4 of us, 1 couple and two single friends. We all loved the Townhouse/Villa, easy check in and out, it was super clean, nicely furnished and a well equipped kitchen. Nice sea view from the upper floor/living and dining space. I must say that the Manager, Marcia was our champion, super efficient and very accommodating, lovely little lady :) thanks to her and to our host, we really enjoyed our stay. Go ahead and book, perfect for up to 3 couples, take the cottage as the third bedroom as the third bedroom in the main house is not on the same level as the other two, who ever gets that room may feel a bit cheated compared to the others, the cottage will certainly make up for it. the third bedroom is more suited for teens.

Windswept Sugar Hill -August 2023

Windswept is located in a resort called Sugar Hill. Full credit to all who work there. Cynthia at Reception was amazing. All Resort staff were friendly and helpful. The facilities were well maintained and beautiful. The property is fantastic with views of the sea. It is set within a large beautifully maintained tropical garden with mature fruit trees. The house is stunning and very spacious, well maintained, immaculate and very tastefully decorated . You have everything that you would need plus more to make a home away from home. Chris and Amanda have thought about everything for their guests. From booking the property to the checking in/ checking out process, their information was detailed. The pool and the hot tub were well maintained and it was a pleasure to come back home on an evening to use these facilities. We had to tear ourselves away from the house and resort to explore Barbados. Imagine sitting on the patio with the views of the sea, the garden and all the birds that came to visit. This is perfection. Marcia is an excellent Property Manager, professional, friendly, welcoming and informative about the property and Barbados . It was a pleasure to meet her. Great villa and well represented in the listing. Super clean and incredible views from the upper balcony. So wonderful to hear the crickets at night, and the birds in the morning. Saw hummingbirds during the day, and fireflies in the evening. Location was great - close to some great beaches. Felt very secure and safe. Infinity pool and gym were great, although nothing beats the caribbean sea ! Amanda and Marcia were very responsive.If you plan to explore the East side of the island, note that the Round House restaurant is closed for renovations as of our time of travel (Oct 2025).

Exactly what we were looking for!

We stayed at Windswept for 10 days in the Easter holidays this year and had the most fabulous time - so much so that we've rebooked for next year! The villa is spacious and comfortable with everything we needed. We particularly enjoyed sitting on the balcony and reading (generally with a glass of wine or rum punch in hand!), and having netflix was a real bonus for our children. Whilst I wanted them to spend all there time outside, it does get hot in Barbados so some respite inside watching a film for an hour or two each day was perfect. Sugar Hill itself was outstanding - everyone was so friendly and we spent a lot of time over by the pool and restaurant. Our children were so happy there, which meant we felt rested too. The villa was just a couple of minutes' drive from the beach - our favourite was Gibbes (we like the peace and quiet) but there were so many to choose from. Marcia was super helpful, always responding to texts if we messaged her both before and during our stay. Amanda, the owner, was also really kind and communicative and allowed us to postpone our stay due to covid - it was well worth the wait!

Excellent base for exploring Barbados

Amanda’s Sugar Hill home was perfect for us, two couples on our first trip to Barbados. Before the trip both Amanda and the property manager, Marcia, reached out and gave us lots of useful information re places to book in advance, etc. Check in was very smooth and the property was exactly as advertised. It was spotlessly clean, beds were comfortable and the kitchen was well equipped. Sugar Hill is well located on the west side of Barbados close to many great beaches and restaurants. There is a large grocery store nearby and a cute little market and bakery right down the hill. We loved sitting out on the expansive porch listening to the birds and tree fogs. It was even a nice place to watch a morning storm or two. The facilities at Sugar Hill are great. We enjoyed both pools, the tennis courts and happy hour. I even took a yoga class one morning. All and all, a great place to stay.

Wonderful Stay

Highly recommend Sugar Hill! Beautiful grounds, restaurant on site was great, we used the gym every day, plus lots of tennis with Olley the tennis pro was amazing. We stayed for 2+ weeks. Excellent communication and follow up with Amanda and Marcia. Favorite part of the house was enjoying the large terrace ! Only recommendation is some household items need updating but that shouldn’t deter anyone from staying at this home. We will be back!

Excellent stay at Windswept

My family and I stayed for over a month at Windswept. We have two small children (7 month old and 3.5 year old) and the place was very spacious for our family of 5. The amenities at Sugar Hill (tennis courts, swimming pools) as well as the security and customer service at the clubhouse was excellent. We wanted a resort-style location so we could have regular, easy morning and evening walks with the children and my elderly mother. The location of this villa within the Sugar Hill resort, compared with other options, was perfect as it is close to the Clubhouse (an easy walk with pool/swimming equipment) and the entrance to Sugar Hill. We rented a car and it was always an easy drive to essentials (grocery, beach, bakery). Amanda (owner) and Marcia (house manager) were wonderful - responsive, helpful, thoughtful, proactive. They were able to give invaluable recommendations for babysitting, tennis lessons, swimming lessons, transportation services, emergency medical care, and other local needs. They checked in when they thought we might need help and provided lots of helpful information well in advance. Natasha, the housekeeper, was also very friendly and capable. We tried to avoid using the AC as much as possible (energy consumption very expensive in Barbados) and having the doors and windows open let in a perfect breeze, which we were comfortable in. I thoroughly recommend booking Windswept, we found it excellent value for the space, location, amenities, and service we received during our stay.

Escape from COVID

Contact with Amanda and Marcia (the property manager) was excellent. All correspondence and queries answered fully and promptly. The property is in an excellent location, close to the tennis courts, clubhouse and communal pool and benefits from extra large garden, fantastic view and cooling breezes on the spacious balcony. Everything we needed was there. We used the plunge pool everyday to cool off. Whilst the Hot Tub was being repaired whilst we were there, it did look like a great asset. The table tennis table kept the 17 year olds amused until they discovered scuba diving, water skiing, jet skiing, Rum punch and Banks beer. All in all a great location in a great country and a fantastic escape from COVID-19 Britain.

Didn't want to leave!

Clean, comfortable, and relaxing. Location was perfect, 5min drive to local grocery store and Limegrove. Other tourist attractions were 15-30min drive. The home was well stocked, staff was excellent! No complaints, and highly recommend this location for your Barbados stay.

Absolutely Perfect!

Everything about Mandy's place is comfortable and pleasant. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. On our last day, we found out that a French bakery, La Baguette. Great croissants and other breads! Good thing I didn't find it sooner, or i would've gained 20 pounds sitting on Mandy's lovely balcony and eating 3 a day :) My family had a very wonderful, memorable experience here.

Beautiful and spacious villa. Great location.

The villa is bright and airy with four very spacious bedrooms (including the separate cottage). Having never been to Barbados we were extremely grateful for Mandy’s excellent communication and Marcia, who manages the property in country. Marcia is an absolute god-send and it was clear that nothing was too much trouble. The villa is very well situated within the stunning Sugar Hill resort with very easy access to the two pools, the gym and the in-house restaurant. Sugar Hill is set away from the hustle and bustle of Holetown, a short taxi-ride or slightly longer walk away. Equally, the beautiful Alleyne Bay was just as easy to get to. I have to agree with other reviews that just sitting on the balcony looking out across wonderful tropical gardens was an absolute pleasure. Sunsets were spectacular and the peaceful tranquility truly mesmerising.
