My family and I stayed for over a month at Windswept. We have two small children (7 month old and 3.5 year old) and the place was very spacious for our family of 5.
The amenities at Sugar Hill (tennis courts, swimming pools) as well as the security and customer service at the clubhouse was excellent. We wanted a resort-style location so we could have regular, easy morning and evening walks with the children and my elderly mother. The location of this villa within the Sugar Hill resort, compared with other options, was perfect as it is close to the Clubhouse (an easy walk with pool/swimming equipment) and the entrance to Sugar Hill. We rented a car and it was always an easy drive to essentials (grocery, beach, bakery).
Amanda (owner) and Marcia (house manager) were wonderful - responsive, helpful, thoughtful, proactive. They were able to give invaluable recommendations for babysitting, tennis lessons, swimming lessons, transportation services, emergency medical care, and other local needs. They checked in when they thought we might need help and provided lots of helpful information well in advance. Natasha, the housekeeper, was also very friendly and capable.
We tried to avoid using the AC as much as possible (energy consumption very expensive in Barbados) and having the doors and windows open let in a perfect breeze, which we were comfortable in.
I thoroughly recommend booking Windswept, we found it excellent value for the space, location, amenities, and service we received during our stay.
