Waterfront Carriage House Apartment

The Carriage House was built in 1925 to store carriages for the large Victorian home, across the street. Once carriages became a thing of the past, part of the carriage house was converted to a one bedroom apartment that has direct water views and a private deck overlooking the water. There are two queen beds in the bedroom. Enjoy the 585 feet of shared lake frontage with beach and complimentary use of canoes, kayaks, standup paddle boards and fire pits.

Walk 0.5 miles to the Squamside Beach Bar or Walter's Basin restaurant. Only 200 yards away is The Ice House Creamery with home made ice cream. See bears, bobcats and mountain lions 1 mile away at the Squam Lakes Science Center.

This rental shares the 2.3 acres and 585 feet of lake frontage with other cabins and suites on the property. The outside common areas include a beautiful sandy beach, fire pits, bbq grills and outdoor activities.

Guests are asked to clean the dishes and take out the trash prior to departure.

This rental does not accept pets. If you do want your pet to join you on your vacation, please look at our pet friendly rentals, which are suites 1, 3, 4, 9 and 12.

Keycode locks allow guests to check in at their convenience. The code will be sent to the guests prior to arrival. Smoking is only permitted on the property at the designated smoking areas near the parking lot.

Guests are welcome to enjoy the rental home, spacious deck, and the full 2.3 acres of property including the beach, swim raft, canoes, kayaks, and paddle boards. We kindly ask that you avoid entering the barn, garages, or any docks labeled as private.
