"The cabin was perfect and just what we needed. The lakefront property was idyllic and indeed the slice of wilderness heaven promised in the listing. The host, Barb, was helpful, kind, compassionate, and quite amenable and understanding. She even came out in a storm when we locked ourselves out by accident. The location and proximity to other jewels of Maine as well as the freshest of seafood and Maine home cooking made day trips a very feasible possibility! You can’t miss with this property...

"This cabin was perfect for our family vacation. It was very clean and the perfect size for us. We enjoyed seashell hunting at the private beach! We spent a lot of time at Acadia National Park and towns around there, all less than an hour away. We would definitely stay again if in the area!"

"What a beautiful property! It's located at end of a long gravel road on a tidal river. There's a deck, firepit, and basketball net. You can check the tidal clock inside and explore the riverside at low tide. It is 40-ish minute ride to Bar Harbor and Acadia National Park. "This quaint stay was everything we needed for our trip to MDI. Becka was a wonderful host (as was her angelic dog, Cayenne), and we loved the rustic setting. The rental was well and thoughtfully stocked. The outdoor shower was so enjoyable, serenaded by the nearby apiary. Even the early bird rooster made us laugh. Would happily stay again."

"Absolutely wonderful stay! My husband and I, and our two sons, made some great memories. The location was perfect. Very peaceful - we loved the sound of the loons! The cabin was so cozy and nice. Very clean. We appreciated the use of the kayaks and canoes. The boys loved fishing and swimming. On a rainy day we watched movies and played games - all of which were provided. "We had a great time in this off grid cabin. It was a beautiful location in a really lovely wood cottage. Our favorite part was just relaxing on the screened in porch listening to the loons in the evening. It got a little hot during our stay, so the limited electricity for a fan was a bummer but not a dealbreaker by any means. Would definitely recommend. "
