Communication with host was fast & excellent, with easy check-in. Lovely host. We stayed 3-days.. House is right off of the main highway which is super - a little hard to find in the dark but we managed it fine. House is an interesting experience - especially if you like history. I liked it. My husband didn't, he said there was so much stuff in it that if he put something down he might lose or forget it. Handles on cookware were all very loose, we tightened them so they are OK now. Some of the large mugs in the drawer were chipped, easy to miss. FIngerprints on microwave and door handle that goes to laundry room. Bathroom water pressure and heat were excellent. Heated blanket in the bedroom we stayed was super - we ran it for 15 mins. W&D good.
Interestingly there was no mention of the water reclamation/processing pools directly over the road between the house and the beach which I'm sure surfaced way after the house was originally built. One of the pillows was hard & would benefit from being replaced, rest were OK. Linens excellent. Tea bags, oatmeal etc provided. Interestingly though it was the only home of the 7 we stayed in on our trip that did not leave milk - either fresh or long-life. Ie it was the only one with a bare fridge, other homes left milk, eggs, chocolate, even bread to differentiate themselves for weary traveller. Not a deal breaker I agree, just something to consider as often its the small things we remember. All in all A-OK, just some easy quick fixes..
