A great place to stopover. Staff friendly and the accommodation was spacious. Good pub food and drinks. The hotel is at the heart of historic Richmond, one of the earliest settlements, and only twenty minutes from Hobart International Airport. We loved our stopover there. Thank you.

Fabulous unit, very comfortable bed, and great dining. Unfortunately our kettle didn't work so no morning coffee for us. ☹ That aside (I'm sure they will rectify that!), I can thoroughly recommend a stay in the stable!

Beautiful apartment with plenty of parking and right near a lovely park near the river. We had great meals at the hotel, the staff were brilliant and went out of their way to provide us with a good experience. Will absolutely stay again next time we visit Tasmania

The room was small and it was stuffy. When I booked the room, the information said there was an air conditioner, but it wasn't in the room, and when I asked the staff, they said there were no rooms with air conditioning (please stop giving false information). The room was too small for two adults, with no table or space to open suitcases.

An attractively renovated space above the stables, but it had been closed up and was very hot and stuffy when we checked in. I spent half an hour trying to get the aircon working (googled the manual) before telling the hotel staff it was faulty. They knew nothing about the accom and could not help. After a couple of hours of windows open it was a comfortable night.

I stayed in a hotel room with shared facilities. The sheets and towels were super crispy and white. The shared facilities were very clean and tidy. Had a tv. The hotel had a great beer garden. For the $ it was great

Front Rooms needed towel drying racks. Bathrooms okay, beter quality toilet paper required. Need to lose the convid rubbish signs, not friendly or inviting.

Well located in Richmond and easy to find, however the room was located next to the hotel and was very noisy, with patrons walking close to the door, and staff tipping empty bottles into bins adjacent to the unit. The unit seemed unfinished lacking small details like a bedside light in the twin room.

The place is historic and beautiful. Not modern and without imperfections but what a beautiful place. Rooms and amenities are average but a great experience, affordably priced and so close to the airport. A beautiful town and a charming pub.

Lovely two night stay
This accommodation is located in a beautiful old hotel. The rooms are very basic but very clean, with a shared bathroom. We wanted to stay in old hotels so it was perfect for us. Located in the heart of town, you can walk to everything. The hotel provides lovely pub style meals. The only issue for us was there was no fridge (so we just used that food straight away) and no breakfast on site (but cafes a short stroll away)

We arrived really late with after hours instructions, but the staff still met us with the key :). The room was small but warm, and the bed was comfortable. The shower in the shared bathroom was amazing (though some travellers should be more respectful of the condition in which they leave a shared bathroom). Parking was easy, the room served its purpose, and I'd stay there again.

Disappointing! Beds with lumpy mattress. Luckily found doona in cupboard to cover mattress. Bathrooms dreadful. Stayed two nights and mess not cleaned up. Some lights didn't work. Hotel meal very nice.

I was looking forward to staying after a long motorbike ride. The room was awful, blowflies everywhere and no opening window or ventilation. I turned around and went home. I didn’t even end up staying there.

Accommodation: The rooms are very old with no outside ventilation (windows non operable) Shared bathrooms very basic & need of upgrade i.e.. shower tap handle fell off when using, no soap holder Timber floors squeak when guests walking on during night when going to bathroom, would not stay more than one night Bar & Food Excellent

We arrived at 9 pm and though were told about the keybox, when we got the key there was no room number, had to ring an emergency number provided which was answered by a fellow that had stopped working there 18months ago, but at least he kindly/ told us how to find the room, there was no lighting outside it so we couldn't have found it without him.
