"We wanted a quick getaway from the city and we were interested in seeing the troll sculptures around the Detroit Lakes area. This spot gave us the perfect homebase for a family of 3 for a 3 night stay. And our little dog enjoyed getting to come along. The farm landscape is beautiful, and feels private even with the main house just down the drive. The alpacas do keep an eye on you but that is definitely part of the charm and they were fun to interact with. "

"The cabin has everything we needed, good WiFi and comfortable furniture and beds, and a good shower. The fish were biting like crazy off the dock. We caught well over 100 during our stay — nice crappies, largemouth bass and rock bass. Great bar/restaurants nearby, including the Long Bridge and Bleacher’s. Both had live music! We would definitely stay here again."

"This home had lots of room and was well stocked. The circular drive made it easier to get on to the road. There were 2 areas to have fires. It is located less than 10 minutes from a couple of parks with playgrounds and the beach. Many restaurants nearby and grocery store less than 10 minutes away."

"Very clean, decently appointed. We were there for a family gathering at my sisters so didn’t need to spend much time which turned out to be good. There is not much beyond the dwelling. The place was very clean and comfortable. However the smell from the well water was pretty over powering. While there was a keurig machine, it would have been nice to have coffee cups available at the property. Overall it served our purpose."

"We had a wonderful stay here again! We also stayed 2 years ago over the 4th of July, and it worked great for our family! Our 3 and 5 year old love the “beach” and sand play! We really enjoyed the use of the kayaks and stand up paddle board! I love that shampoo, conditioner, and body wash was available. We also really enjoyed the back deck for dinner with the lake view. The property manager was very nice and quick to respond to any inquiries. We had a nice time!"

"Matt and Jodie were responsive to our questions and needs. The home and property were great for our purpose and age range (10-68). We enjoyed the pontoon and yard games and the open floor plan allowed us all to watch the Olympics as well as family time. We will definitely book again!"

"Stayed here with family and friends for my son’s wedding in the area. House was very clean and in a great area. Owner has the home very well appointed with all the necessities, appliances and kitchen equipment you may need. We didn’t get much time to enjoy the external property but it was well kept and expansive. You can tell the owners care about their guests having a nice relaxing time when staying at the house. "
