"It is perfectly located for the centre of Ripon and the lady checking us in was lovely. The room itself felt and smelt damp, the beds were not very comfortable and we couldn’t cover the window to make it dark which was an issue when getting our 1 year old to sleep. All that being said we would definitely stay there again because it made visiting Ripon on a tight budget possible and if we hadn’t had our daughter with us none of the above would have been an issue. "

"It was a good hotel, we were visiting family in the area so was a nice base. We had stayed at other nearby hotels so wanted to try this one. It was okay for one night, we booked in for dinner. The menu is extremely limited for dietary requirements, with things listed as vegetarian that weren't and food didn't match description. "would be 5 stars for service but its unmanned on arrival. however lovely service at breakfast which full english was delicious. Room 5 on the top floor was perfect - so quiet and relaxing - nice view and the large walk in shower was excellent! bed was so comfy - best sleep for a long time. couldn't get parked as only 5 spaces in private car park but can park just metres away on public road. two minute walk to start of town centre."

"We wanted an overnight stay on our way to the Lake District and found a perfect gem of a hotel. From the moment we arrived we were cared for by great staff. Our bedroom was a suite and just gorgeous. Dinner and breakfast were superb with plenty of choices. Wandering around the extensive beautifully manicured grounds we found the kitchen garden which is obviously used for a great deal of the food in the hotel. Just wished we could have stayed longer. "

"Escogí a este hotel por el diseño y la cercanía a York. Se tarde 30 minutos en tren desde Harrogate (1 hora en coche !). El hotel es una joya, elegante, muy limpio, con baños muy modernos y unos desayunos espectaculares. Esta muy cuidado y se muestra el buen gusto de los dueños. En cuanto a Harrogate, es menos conocido pero merece la pena la visita, especialmente por los parques, tiendas, los baños turcos y Betty's Tearoom, donde se puede disfrutar del mejor afternoon tea!"
