"Kathy is a wonderful host. The house is well-equipped and very comfortable. The flowers around the house are beautiful. The best part is the location which is about 3/4 mile from the entrance to Jedidiah Smith Park. The trees there are amazing! Oh, and there is a terrific restaurant within walking distance and a gas station/market across from that. PERFECT place to stay to enjoy ALL of the Redwood forests. "

"Enjoyed our stay in the deluxe yurt. Had a mini fridge, sink and tv with cable. Bathroom was right across the parking lot. Only thing I would say is the full futon bed was very uncomfortable so we ended up sleeping in the bunk bed cause they were actual mattresses. This RV park is super close to Jedediah smith state park and 15min away from crescent city. Great location. "

"You can tell the host has done this before. Before our arrival, we had all information in hand once we got there. We didn't need to ask for anything - there were extra towels, everything clean, supplies were provided.Great experience. As for the location, it is super convenient as a couple of eating places are a short walk away, the surf shop's downstairs if you want to browse, and the harbor is across the street. Plenty of parking. This is a multi unit rental, and we don't think there were any...

"The place was ideal for myself and 4 friends. We were amazed at the view and sound of the ocean from the house. It was a comfortable house. We enjoyed the patio area every morning with our coffee. However we did have to go buy cooking oil, and salt for the kitchen but everything else we needed was available. We also bought cleaner and cleaned the scum off the bathtub and noticed dust bunnies and candy wrappers under at least one bed.Overall we loved the ocean view and location of the property....

"Overall our experience was positive. The home reminded me of my 1st home which was built in the 1940's. The owners here have made improvements inside and it is cozy. Some of the neighborhood homes are nice and some are very run down. Inside this rental the tvs, beds, and appliances are modern. The couch is small and not very comfortable, and there isn't much room in the bathroom to place toiletries. The small kitchen also could use additional counter space. Most of the windows are missing...

"The cabin is very private with incredible outdoor spaces to sit and enjoy the Smith River. The cabin is clean, bed is comfy, and amenities are everything you could need. The outdoor space is very pet friendly but dogs should be leashed not fenced. Our Golden had a great time swimming. The private beach is amazing with pristine waters. This is our second stay."

"This house is so cute & cozy! It was one of those properties where you feel like you're staying at a friend's or family member's home; comfortable.....not stuffy or stressful with too many fragile knickknacks & strict rules! We loved the back porch for dinner and the hanging swings for reading & coffee. The place is well stocked so you don't have to run out for every little thing. My daughters loved the provided cookies & q-tips, haha! Very comfy beds with soft sheets. "

"Best rental house on the Smith River! This was our 3rd or 4th time here and it's still our favorite rental house ever. Fully stocked with every possible thing you might need. The hosts are great and very helpful and the location is unique in that is has the best access of any rental house on the Smith River. Even my barely mobile 84 year-old mother-in-law could get down to the beach to watch us kayak and swim. My only tiny complaint is that the knives in the kitchen were almost too dull to use,...

"We have stayed here on multiple occasions and each time we have had a pleasant experience. The rooms are clean and the bed was comfortable for us, we were able to get a good night’s rest after a few hours of driving. Plus the complimentary breakfast was really nice to have before leaving the next day. Staff was also very kind even when checking in late in the evening. We have made staying here our number one choice when in town. Thanks!"
