Nice little getaway not too far from everything...

Nice little getaway not too far from everything. It was nice to unplug and relax for a few days. Dry river is VERY close would be awesome in late spring early summer if you want a "basecamp" to fish for Brook Trout. A couple really nice deep fishing holes a short walk from the cabin. Had a blast and would definitely stay again.

Perfect for Quick Getaway

Love this cabin. Right next to the river so you can hear the water. Very cozy furnace heater. Beautiful secluded community. Would highly recommend!

Fantastic Cabin!

28th wedding anniversary, this cozy cabin nestled in a peaceful, serene spot was just what we needed. Everything was perfect! We had coffee by the river and walked to the blue hole and just sat in awe of the beautiful view!

Cabin Life is the Best

Perfect cabin for a nice get away. Cabin has everything you need. Plenty to do outdoors such as hiking or short drive to Harrisonburg with plenty of restaurants and night life. Very highly recommend

Little Get away

Over all we had an amazing stay and things were just as listed. There were some cobwebs around the light as soon as you come in and some trash under the sofa area when we moved it around to fit our blowup mattress. We always love our stay and definitely will be coming back

Amazing Host and Cabin!

Marcy's cabin was the perfect place to get away from the craziness of DC on July 4th. Our dog is absolutely terrified of fireworks and we didn't hear a single boom or pop while at the cabin. The cabin itself was also perfectly cozy and had everything we needed to cook and relax. While it feels remote, it's only a short drive from downtown Harrisonburg and some wineries. The swimming hole was a nice bonus, especially for our water obsessed dog. Lastly, Marcy was super fast to respond to us when we struggled to get the upstairs AC to work and helped us fix the issue in no time (it may, admittedly, have been user error - sorry, Marcy!). We'll definitely be back!

Amazing Weekend

If you’re thinking of booking, just do it! This cabin is perfectly located and has everything you need. We spent a glorious few days by the river, hiking nearby trails, and enjoying Harrisonburg. The cabin is comfortable and set up perfectly for a quiet and relaxing weekend. Fully stocked and clean it’s worth every penny. Really enjoyed our weekend there.

Would come back!

We had a great stay. The cabin is cozy and quiet against the backdrop of the river. It’s just far enough away from civilization without being too far away if you want to take a couple hours to visit a brewery or winery. Great hiking too. Highly recommend.

Amazing spot, can't recommend enough

Everything about this place is wonderful - the cabin, the location, the host. It is so peaceful and yet still close to restaurants in Harrisonburg and many hikes (Shenandoah, Washington National Forest). The cabin is very well equipped and clean. We had an absolutely wonderful time and hope we are lucky enough to return :)

Lovely stay!

Everything is as shown in the photos. Very clean and cozy. We definitely plan to return. The sound of running water outside the door and the fireplace are two of my favorite aspects but there was truly nothing to complain about. Easy check in process and quick replies from the host. We highly recommend!

Cozy getaway

Perfect size to feel snuggled in the woods but with all the necessary comforts. The house was clean, well-stocked with necessities, and easy to enjoy. I loved the fact that it had its own kitchen despite the small size, and I loved the proximity to town. We enjoyed touring around Dayton and Harrisonburg. We would definitely recommend!

Cute remote cabin

The cabin is very cute and an excellent base with basic needs. Very close to Harrisonburg so there’s plenty to do, but still in a pretty remote area. The roads in the neighborhood are rocky and tight so be prepared for that. The cabin itself is a little smaller than I expected from the photos but very comfortable nonetheless. The staircase is a little treacherous so I don’t recommend staying here and planning to sleep in the main bedroom if you have mobility issues. Even just going to the bathroom in the middle of the night when my joints were slightly stiff was an adventure 😂. Wi-Fi works well but we did have some trouble trying to stream on Netflix. We didn’t really care though cause we had games with us and didn’t go there to sit around and watch tv in the first place. The property owner was great and super communicative. I never waited more than a couple minutes for a response to a message.
