  • Brand new log cabin. Charming, quiet with privacy. If peace and tranquility are one of your vacation objectives, then this is the home for you! Enjoy cooking on the grill while having an evening cocktail while the kids take advantage of the board games which are provided. You can enjoy a dip in the lake with access to the private, shared beach.
    With the fall foliage season upon us,come and enjoy a family visit to the Mohawk Trail,with whitewater rafting on the Deerfield River, Pleasant Valley Wildlife Sanctuary, Cricket Creek Farm in Williamstown, Wine tasting at Hilltop Orchards, Berkshire Botanical Gardens in Stockbridge, Catamount Aerial Adventure Park and Adventures at Bousquet Mountain. History abounds with trips to Chesterwood, Arrowhead, Wiliams College Museum of Art, Clark Art Institute and Susan B. Anthony Birthplace Museum in Adams, Mass Moca.
    For the little ones, don't forget to visit Ioka Valley Farm and Whitney's Farm for many activities including the Petting Zoo, Dairy Bar, u-pick pumpkins, corn maze, hay rides, Giant slide, Jumpin' Pumpkin and the Scavenger Hunt.
    Also, for the teenagers and adults try your skills at Ramblewild in Lanesboro and take a drive up to Mount Greylock ( highest peak in Massachusetts ) to view the spectacular colors while having lunch or dinner at the newly opened restaurant.

Rescue friends relaxing weekend

Cozy quiet cabin

The cabin was exactly as advertised and had all the amenities we desired. It made a great base of operations to visit the many cultural attractions in the Berkshires, as well as enjoy the many scenic vistas nearby. Highly recommended!

Marlene’s cabin is in a perfect spot to get out and experience all the Berkshires has to offer. East Barrington not far south and North Adams a short drive to the north. There is nothing Marlene did not think of to make your stay a good one. Everything you would need is available in the cabin. The kitchen is perfect for enjoying some home cooked meals. My wife and I spent most of our days out and about but it was nice to come back to the cozy and quiet cabin. I highly recommend a stay here.

Nice place to get away

Needed some time away back in New England and this was the perfect spot. Very comfortable, quiet and clean. Within a mixed vacation home residential area on a lake it was very quiet in the fall, but likely more bustling in the summer, but it is in a lake community. Nice, well built log cabin, clean and maintained. The owner communicated everything well and is easy to contact. The cabin are very close to Hinsdale and Dalton which has more amenities. Many state parks, woods and conservation lands nearby. Location is easy to get to.

Cozy cabin

Nice quiet and safe area. Everything is brand new inside. We walked to the little shared beach area on the lake, would be fun for kids. About a 15 minute drive to pittsfield outskirts with restaurants.

Week away

This was a first family trip to visit friends in the area. The cottage was clean and the location was lovely. Beach access by short walk and was very kid friendly, even has a playground. Marlene was right next door and helpful when we locked ourselves out. We plan to return again next summer.

Wonderful cabin for families

Marlene’s cabin was a great place for our family to stay on a long weekend trip. It was clean, relaxing and felt like home. While we didn’t get to take advantage of the nearby lake due to cold weather, there were plenty of hiking trails nearby to keep us busy during the day. Marlene stocks the cabin with anything you could need from games, books, DVDs, extra pillows, blankets and towels to child seats, baby gates and an inflatable boat! We stayed with an almost 2 year old and the house was perfectly child friendly, there are even outlet covers! The cabin is in a rural area but you aren’t very far from large grocery stores or pharmacies if you forget anything. We felt very safe staying here and would definitely return again to enjoy all this lovely property has to offer. Thank you Marlene!

Quiet getaway

The log cabin was exactly like the pictures. It was very clean and the kitchen was well stocked. My husband and I particularly loved the deck out back. We used the grill, ate meals there and enjoyed looking at the stars. It was quiet and private, exactly what we were looking for. It was a bit of a drive to sights we wanted to see but it was worth it for the quiet.

Tanglewood Weekend

I loved the property. It was clean, spacious, and with a large outdoor deck. We were visiting to see a Friday and Saturday night concert at Tanglewood, and to do some hiking on Saturday at the Pittsfield state forest. The roads were good but having a GPS and Waze certainly helped. We enjoyed our stay and will probably do it again next summer.

Beautiful cabin by the lake

The cabin was very clean and new. It was a perfect home away from home with a great location. We found it very convenient to travel to MT. Greylock and nearby Lenox and Great Barrington. Easy check in and check out. We would happily stay here again next time we are on MA.

Relaxing weekend

Had a very nice weekend at the cabin despite raining everyday. Board games, movies, a couple of rainy walks and a museum trip kept us occupied. The cabin was very clean, cute and cozy. The appliances worked well and we were very comfortable in the space. Just watch those potholes on a rainy day! Some of the roads getting into the area were unpaved, which made for interesting drives.
