The house was amazing and perfect for our Reunion gathering, with lots of spaces for large or small gatherings. Previous renters have left a lot of items in the kitchen so you might want to wait to buy things like spices, coffee filters, etc. until after you check in. Read all the instructions - only six cars are allowed parking passes, so have a carpool plan ready!

Excellent home that fit our family's needs so well! It is a gorgeous home and community and had a lot of space and convenience. The host was also very communicative and made sure we had what we needed. Highly recommend for large groups!

Greg, the host, is PHENOMENAL to work with! The house accommodated everyone well. The walk to the beach was also much closer than we anticipated. The number of refrigerators, coffee makers, two stoves and microwaves worked beautifully for our large group. Everyone had their own quiet space and the gathering places were so fun for us all to get together and play games.

Fun in the sun
We had a great time. The house has a lot of rooms to accommodate our large family and a huge kitchen with all the necessary tools and equipment to feed them and cook for them. A short walk to the beach and beach access is literally across the driveway. The pool was clean and maintained and kept the kids entertained for hours. The owner communicated often and clearly. Great house!!

We had a wonderful time with our kids & grandkids. It was a lot of fun and we made so many memories together. The house was perfect for a large group! (There were 25 of us.) There was plenty of space to spread out, as well as to gather together. It rained one afternoon but the kids all enjoyed the pool anyway. It was a quick jaunt to the beach, as the beach path was directly across from the house. The kitchen was stocked full of any appliance you might need to throw together a meal. Would definitely love staying at this property again sometime.

Great family getaway
House is clean and well appointed - we had a wonderful family reunion/vacation - mixed group of many adults and 6 children, all 5 and under. Having two of each appliance was so key, and the kitchen is well stocked for cooking. The beach access is right across the street and the beach is gorgeous. We will hopefully be coming back!

We had the best company retreat!
We hosted our company retreat here and couldn’t have asked for a better experience. The home was spotless, spacious, and perfectly set up for both group activities and private work sessions. Having direct beach access just across the street was a huge bonus, making it easy for our team to relax and recharge between meetings. We especially appreciated the variety of spaces around the property for breakout meetings and calls, which made our work sessions productive and comfortable.The large game room on the first level was a hit with everyone—ping pong, corn hole, and other games provided plenty of fun after hours. The property truly offered the ideal balance of work and play. We highly recommend this home for family gatherings or small company retreats and would absolutely book again for future events.

This house was perfect for our multi-generational family! The close proximity to the beach made it easy for our youngest members to enjoy some time in the sun. I organized a sibling reunion for my family of 9. Pressure? Oh yes but the house exceeded all of our expectations. Well appointed and beautifully decorated, this house has everything you need for a large gathering. Other years we’ve rented large homes with plenty of bedrooms but the living space was too small. This home has ample living and dining space The state of the art kitchen features 2 of every appliance and all the tools and conveniences to host wonderful gourmet meals. The porch was fantastic and again large enough for all of us to sit outside. We didn’t use the pool/jacuzzi but were thrilled it was there The homes proximity to the beach was a huge plus Beach access was literally across the street. ! The owner of the home was very responsive to our questions.
We all had a ball and would highly recommend this property. I can’t think of a single negative. Seriously a 10++++ property!!

Great for our family of 10 couples and 3 babies
We stayed at Southern Bliss for a family reunion from October 31 to September 7, 2024. The house was spacious and very comfortable for our twenty adults, a two-year-old and two babies. We could not believe how well the house was designed. The architect thought of everything a group would want, and the owner furnished it with all we needed.
We ate most of our meals at the house. The kitchen contained two refrigerators, stoves, microwaves and dishwashers. An icemaker furnished plenty of ice. The kitchen was well stocked with dishes, pots, pans, cooking utensils and dinnerware. The dining room accommodated our group and could have handled more. A commercial washer and dryer on each floor made it possible to do laundry as needed.
We were pleased with the linen service and comforters on the beds. A good supply of soaps and toiletries were provided. Supermarkets were nearby.
We made great use of the great room on each floor, the decks with rockers and screened in porches.
We spent a lot of time on the ground level where we could play table tennis, darts and corn hole, cook on a large gas grill, and use the bar for snacks. Some of us spent many hours in the pool and hot tub which lent to many conversations.
The beach was nice, private, convenient and not overcrowded. Palmetto Dunes is exceptionally beautiful with plenty of walking/biking trails and plenty of pickleball courts within walking distance.

Our mini reunion
Five sisters and portions of their families decided on Hilton Head this year. The house was great fitting us fine. The area was filled with things to do; golf, putt-putt, fishing, shopping and the pool was a favorite. We traveled from Ohio-Texas-Florida to SoCarolina and had a very enjoyable time.

We were a family of 22 and you wouldn’t believe it. The house was gigantic and fully stocked. I would love to come back again. Greg was very responsive and communication with him was a breeze. There was nothing negative to say about this stay.

Fabulous week on Hilton Head at Southern Bliss
We had high expectations for our annual family reunion on Hilton Head. Happily, they were met and then some. Palmetto Dunes is an expertly run organization, a beautifully maintained community with outstanding access to top-notch tennis, pickleball, beach, shopping and restaurants. We all agreed that Southern Bliss was the nicest property we’ve ever rented. From the 10 bedrooms to the well-equipped kitchen with dual major appliances, two laundries, plenty of big screen TV’s, ample dining spaces, gorgeous pool, game areas and elevator, it is a magnificent vacation property and we will be back.

FUN WITH THE FAMILY IN A GREAT HOUSE
THE HOUSE IS WONDERFULLY LAID OUT FOR LARGE GROUPS IT NEVER FELT CROWDED, EVEN WITH 24 PEOPLE OCTOBER IS A PERFECT MONTH FOR THE BEACH, HOT TUB/POOL AND THE FIRE PIT. WILL BE GOING AGAIN TO THIS HOUSE, I HOPE.
