My family liked this rental home okay. I was disappointed as I needed true handicapped accessible ammenities in the home, which were not available as found upon arrival to the rental property. This made for some very uncomfortable situations for me. My needs were discussed prior to scheduling this home for my vacation. The community was beautiful. My family enjoyed the community pool and lazy river during our brief stay. We will be staying in Hilton Head, again but at a wheelchair friendly property and home.

Lovely home on Hilton Head Plantation

Wonderfully kept home in secured community. Great neighborhood, friendly neighbors, great for walking, including walking with dog. Friendly, welcoming homeowners.

A lovely stay but nontraditional....

We enjoyed our stay very much but I booked this very quickly without reading all the fine print carefully and looking closely at all the photos. This is a nontraditional rental, in that it has white carpet and very formal furniture. It is not like a condo or townhouse that is up to date with modern amenities. The house has not been updated ; however the laundry room was great. We had plenty of room, but one of the rooms is an office, rather than a bedroom. The TV is in this office, rather than the living room but we were not at the house much at all. The plantation is a retirement community, but very well kept and the folks were very nice! The pool area and playground were lovely, but my kids were expecting a big lazy river - like the photo- and it was just a small little track , which we did enjoy! The "wild" beach there is beautiful, but we had to drive to the public beach for swimming. There are excellent directions and suggestions by the homeowner. We went Labor Day weekend and the North end of the island was lovely without traffic and we could quickly get to our favorite shops and restaurants. The house did come with bikes for the community. My family made this nontraditional rental work just fine. Families with young children might not want to stay in the delicate home. We also had to be very careful while staying, as it is decorated more like a home, not a rental. I love HH and enjoyed my visit but be sure you look carefully at the details before renting,

Quiet stay on Northern Hilton Head

The property was nestled in the northern residential area of Hilton Head, away from the touristy area (15minute drive south). It was fairly secluded with a local pool and nature conservancy within walking distance. The home was spacious and showed its age. It is a two bedroom home with some air mattresses and a couch for extra sleeping arrangements.

Last minute beach trip

We loved the house, quite spacious! The use of the bikes on the property was awesome. Quick ride to the neighborhood pool. The owners are lovely and super helpful, we look forward to a return trip.

Made it work

The house itself was nice but definitely not kid friendly. The furniture was antique like and the carpet was white. The house had a lot of rules. The 2 bedrooms had hide-a-bed couches in them but you can't use them as beds due to placement of them they can't be pulled out into beds. The den had a couch but it wasn't a hide-a-bed couch. We aren't fans of sleeping on couches. My daughter had to sleep on an air mattress in the same bedroom as my husband and I which isnt ideal but we made it work. The plantation property was nice with a lazy river and swimming pool for guest to use. The private beach was a disappointment as swimming wasn't allowed but we did go for a walk on it and found some awesome shells. The public beaches were awesome and we loved the ocean which is our favorite part of our vacation. The restaurants were all delicious. Our favorite was South Beaches The Salty Dog 10/10 recommended. We would definitely vacation again in Hilton Head but pick a different place to stay. Overall a 3/5 rating.

Hilton Head Vrbo house

This house is very spacious with lots of rooms. There are 2 bedrooms with full bathrooms and a third half bathroom. The location allows for easy access to very many places to visit including the Spring Lake recreation center where the pool, lazy river and splash pad is located. There are many restaurants near by as well as grocery stores and shopping outlets. The host is very responsive and so very helpful providing information not only about the house but things to do and places to see. The Dolphin Head Beach and recreation area is nearby and has a playground especially good for kids. There were many things on our list of things to do but we ran out of time to do everything but those we did were wonderful.

Relax & 61st Anniversary

Try to always relax at Hilton Head during our anniversary week. This was first time on the Northern part of the island. It was the best ever. Not as busy as the other parts of the island with all the essentials. House was clean, well appointed and the property manager was great to talk with during the planning and arrival and leaving discussions. Really Really enjoyed the time.

Great value vacation rental

Extremely comfortable home in a beautiful, gated community. Had great extra value including private beach, tennis courts, nature preserve, and a gorgeous pool. Conveniently located to restaurants, stores, entertainment, and public beaches. Owners were quick to respond to any questions or issues and worked to ensure we could access the activities we planned on doing. Hope to have the opportunity to stay there again in the near future. , .

Nice quiet neighborhood!

Nice home in a quiet HH neighborhood. We enjoyed the pool and lazy river. Great place to ride bikes. The nearest beach is about 15 minutes away. The home itself could use a little TLC.

Vrbo picture is misleading

Stove needed to be cleaned, dishwasher had not been run and was not attached to cabinet so we couldn't use it, outside chairs had not been blown off where you could sit in them, cockroaches were on the living room floor, the little oven above the stove was nasty and we could not get into the house with the code upon arrival. After a couple of hours we heard back from the owners and finally got in.

Great Location and Hostess

The house is in a great location. It's a quiet neighborhood that has access to many amenities. Colleen and Don, the hosts, were excellent. They were very communicative and resolve issues quickly. They went above and beyond by allowing us to check in one day later and check out one day later. Hurricane 🌀 Ian was coming through which would have made travel treacherous. We appreciate this accommodation.

Nice getaway

Colleen is a wonderful host with lots of knowledge of the area. She is easy to contact and swift to reply. She is friendly and blunt. A lot if folks think blunt is rude, but I don't like to have my time wasted, so I prefer someone to not beat around the bush. She is honest and I enjoyed my conversation with her. Anything you may have an issue with, let her know firsthand, as she may be unaware of this issue and hasn't had the opportunity to address it. She will take care of the issue. The area is quiet, peaceful and though it's in a neighborhood, you feel secluded. So, it's a wonderful place to relax and unwind.

Great stay

Perfect location for us. We needed to be on the other side of the island from Sea Pines, where our son was proposing to his girlfriend (she didn’t know we’d be there…and she said Yes!). House had everything we needed. Nice area, great stay!

Great Location, Clean, We’ll Stocked

The location is great for off island golf. Bear Creek inside plantation is nice course with lots of dog legs. We’ll stocked with everything you need. Huge rooms. Lots of information from the owner.

Girls trip

We enjoyed some of the restaurants, did some shopping, rode bikes a couple of times and went horseback riding. We also made some day trips. My daughter has a National Parks passport so we visited 4 National Parks. There is a lot to do in Hilton Head and places within 1 to 2 hours away. I would recommend a vacation here.
