The property was terrific and our host, Craig, could not have been more accommodating. The home had so many up to date and modern appointments, as well as being spacious yet cozy. If you like to cook, the kitchen is loaded with all of the right equipment, cookware, etc. Add to all of this a great location in Palmetto Dunes. Can't wait for our next visit.

We've stayed on Mooring Buoy a total of 6 times (2020-2025) and this home was by far our favorite! The host thought of everything to make our stay comfortable! Thank you for such a great week!

Check-in was easy. Craig is an excellent with communicator. If you have any questions just text him and he will reply almost immediately. The house is lovely. The kitchen has a nice island for gathering. There is every possible cooking utensil that you will ever need. The second refrigerator in the laundry room with an ice dispenser was helpful. The kids loved the pool and hot tub. Accessibility to the beach was easy. Loved everything about this house and location.

Best VRBO ever!

My family of adults and children had a fantastic stay at this beautiful home. As advertised, it’s a short 3 minute walk to the beach which was great for the youngsters and seniors. The home is spotless, bright, light, beautifully decorated and stocked with every imaginable item you could want or need. The beds are super comfortable and the bathrooms are luxurious. That’s only the inside. Outside, is a very large deck and pool with lots of seating. I loved the outdoor shower. Craig was very communicative and made sure everything was perfect-which it was. I could go on and on, but you get the point, this is a fabulous home. We hope to be back next year!

Perfect vacation home

This home was built for vacation in Hilton Head. It is wide open. It is steps from the beach. It has every conceivable amenity. The owners did everything they possibly could to accommodate our needs. We simply could not have asked for a better vacation home.

Family Vacation

Cannot say enough good things about this property. Location, cleanliness, and communication are all A+. Craig doesn’t use an agency to rent so this is treated as his own & you can tell. If you are flying in, stay here. No reason to bring anything but a swimsuit. Everything you need from bikes to floats. 10/10 would stay here again.

Great stay in August 2024

Great location on HHI and in Palmetto Dunes. Lovely home that has a nice layout for one or two families with bedrooms spread out, a large, great room, kitchen. Mid-block on Mooring Buoy is very convenient to everything you want to do. Craig is a great host and very organized / responsive.

Excellent House and Location

98 Mooring Buoy was as advertised. The location was great. It was a quick 3 minute walk to the beach via the access path adjacent to the property. The house was very nice and the kitchen was well stocked with silverware, plates, cups, etc. The second refrigerator was nice to have and the washer/dryer worked well. The pool and hot tub were very nice. The house and location were wonderful. The landlord was outstanding. Craig provided excellent information on a timely basis. I really appreciated his approach. It's a great house!

Wow! What a wonderful beach house and owner.

This was a big deal for our family. First vacation in a long time. The beach house was incredible. The private pool was definitely the grandkids favorite thing. Tropical storm Debbie tried to ruin our vacation but we didn't let her. The owner was very concerned about our comfort and safety. Absolutely best vacation property we ever rented. bestvacavvacour comfort and safety.

Fabulous week

When we booked the property the owner was always responsive when needed all the way through to Checkout! The house is absolutely beautiful comfortable and immaculate. The pool was very enjoyable after a hot day on the beach and the back yard a perfect place to relax plenty of seating sun and shade.Less then a 5 min walk to the beach a perfect location. Wish we were still there!

Friends vacation

Just returned from a week's stay at this lovely home and property. Everything was just as listed, Craig, the owner, was awesome with all his communication, and any questions we had. Home had everything we needed and more. The pool and spa were beautiful, needed to be skimmed frequently because of leaves falling due to awesome landscaping. Home is in a gated and beautiful community. A short walk on a paved walkway to the beach- beach is beautiful, on my daily walks saw Jellyfish, crabs of various types and sizes, and even saw dolphins in the distant jumping in the waves! Beach is perfect for walking or biking on. Great stores and restaurants nearby. We stayed with 2 other couples, (we are all 66+), and were sad when our week was completed. Highly recommend staying at this home for all age groups!

Cant wait to return!

This was our first out of state family vacation. Everything was amazing and accommodating for our family of 6 from start to finish. The house was perfect and location to beach was a short path away. Easy access to neighborhood and fun things to do, however there was already so much at the property we didn’t need to leave. The owner was very responsive with any questions regarding our stay. I would highly recommend this home! Cant wait to book next year!

Perfect Hilton Head Vacation

This was our first time to visit Hilton Head. Our usual beach vacation spots typically include OBX and Myrtle Beach. Without a doubt, Hilton Head and this specific rental stands among the best, if not the best time we have experienced. The neighborhood setting is perfect (Palmetto Dunes) on a beautiful street, but especially a beautiful house with many upgrades that have been made. All bedrooms are good size with larger than average TVs with tremendous viewing options, especially the one in the great room overlooking a fabulous private pool. The large kitchen with a huge island is packed with nearly every amenity imaginable. The path leading to the beach is only steps away from the pool area with only a 2-3 minute walk to a beautiful, uncrowded beach. The host, Craig, completes the icing on the cake with this rental. He checks in to make sure all is ready and stays in touch periodically to make sure everything is going smoothly. This is the first time we have been in a vacation rental house where everything worked without a hitch the entire time. The outdoor activities and eating opportunities within a small radius are endless, especially all the bike trails. We do plan to make Hilton Head one of our regular vacation destinations as long as we have the opportunity to stay at 98 Mooring Buoy. Obviously, we highly recommend this rental with its fabulous host.

Amazing vacation in an amazing house!

This is the best house we’ve stayed in on HHI! It truly has it all— great location, well stocked kitchen, amazing deck and pool, as well as lots of seating and king beds for the family! Communication with the owner was top notch and the ability to check in early was a perfect way to kick off our vacation. Would definitely stay here again!

This house was perfect for our whole family. The house has everything you could need. It is in a perfect location with the walking distance to the beach and then having the pool in the backyard. The pool felt very good after some time at the beach. Would definitely stay here again if our family doesn’t grow.

Great House!

Been to Palmetto Dunes several times and this is the cleanest, most well stocked house we have rented. Everything works, kitchen has everything you need, TV's were great, beds are comfortable, fast WiFi, phone chargers everywhere, plenty of ice, 20 feet from the beach path, A/C worked good. Great communication with the owner. The air mattress was a good fit for the walk in closet for my 3 year old granddaughter.

Amazing home and location

This is our second trip to this home - It is a true treasure! You can’t beat the location and the property. The heated pool was perfect in April. Tons of upgrades inside the home. Kitchen has everything you need for large families. Communication with the owner was top notch! Any questions we had were answered quickly. Highly recommend
