Family beach trip

Loved the beach! It was a quick 5 minute walk. House is beautiful-quiet. It was a great place to reconnect.

Enjoyed our Family vacation

We had a very nice stay at this property. Location to beach was perfect, private pool with shade was ideal. House size and layout was good. House was recently painted and has lovely furnishings; needed a number of repairs during our stay and management company had someone out within two hours, every time.

Great House

The house is wonderful!!! It was great for having multi-generations in one place. The kitchen was well stocked and the furnishings we clean and comfortable! The house is definitely updated! It is a quick walk to the beach. We are looking forward to staying there again! We appreciate being able to stay at such a lovely place!

Beautiful home

The home is beautiful. The pool was great. There were a couple negitives. 1. You could not lock any of the doors on the back of the house. 2. Could use some hand rails for front steps. 3. The pillows were ok at best. Over-all, everyone in the family enjoyed the house very much.

Nice Place…But

Nice house and super close to beach. It needs major updating and electrical system upgrade. Pool and hot tub definitely need attention. Only one generic net makes it impossible to keep pool clean and hot tub doesn’t get hot. When hot tub jets are on pool filter does not run. Bathrooms are very nice but one tub on top level doesn’t drain properly. Antiquated lock on front door requires physical key. For the money we expected more.

The house and pool were beautiful and the location close to the beach was great. The house had every amenity needed. It was also a surprise to find all of the beach/ pool toys left by previous guests in the garage. We added 2 additional floats to the collection. We would definitely stay here again and recommend to others. Only issue was my daughter said upstairs bathrooms weren’t well cleaned, shower & floors.

What a fabulous week and place to stay! The owners provided every need in this glorious home! With an 8 month old baby in tow, everyone from our family had more than enough space to relax, unwind, and enjoy each other’s company. The home is so cozy and in such a beautiful location. Beach walk not even 2 min! We hope to return! Thank you for opening your home to very appreciative guests!

This house location was very nice. Far enough away from main thoroughfare to feel secluded yet close enough to have convenient access to shops, stores and restaurants. This house had everything needed and wanted for a family & friend vacation of age 2 to 64. I have never had such kind and helpful contact with house owners. Island Getaway made it easy and the frequent weather updates and specific information during hurricane Florence was very reassuring.

Beautiful home! Great location!

We spent the 2nd week of September 2014 here with our family that included our two adult children, their significant others, and our 18 month old granddaughter (She LOVED IT HERE!) This home was perfect for everyone! Like other reviews stated- the pictures don't show just how lovely and spacious it is! We loved the pool and hotub. And getting to the beach was just as described- a very short easy walk. Nancy was great to work with. Very helpful and made sure we had all the details straight before we got there. We have spent many vacations (at different beaches) but this place was really the one that stands out! Can't wait to go back next year!! Alice -from PA

Perfect for multi-family getaway

Our getaway was a small, quaint destination wedding in Hilton Head, SC. This house was perfect with lots of room to entertain and house family members. The pictures of this house do not do this house justice! All of the bedrooms are nicely decorated, are quite spacious and have their own large private bathroom. The pathway to the beach was incredibly convenient and only took a min or two to get there. This house is located in Palmetto Dunes, which is in the middle of the island (beach side), and was extremely easy to get to many restaurants, grocery stores, and other amenities the island provides. The owners were extremely accommodating to our needs. Our family kept saying, "This is how everyone should get married! This is a dream!" We sincerely cannot wait to be able to come back to visit soon!!

8 member family vacation

We had 6 adults and two children staying in this home and absolutely loved it. The pictures do not do it justice. the kitchen area looks really small in the pictures, and I was a little hesitant to book based on that. But it's huge and has TONS of cabinets and storage. The dishes, glassware and flatware are really nice and plentiful. Everything matches, which is rare in a rental property. The only thing I would have liked was an extra coffee maker. We have several who drink coffee, and not everyone likes the same brew. the master bathroom is the biggest I have ever seen in my life. there are two master bedrooms, and all of the bedrooms have their own private bath, which was a plus. The pool is very nice and the home is a very short walk to the beach. The path starts right in the back yard, and you don't walk on or cross any streets. The dune area to the beach has no steps, unlike any we have ever rented. That was really nice not having to lug heavy beach equipment up or down any stairs.

A True Gem

My family along with 2 other families stayed here the week of 4th of July. This house is gorgeous, the pictures do not do it justice the house is much bigger then it appears in the photos. It was perfect for our vacation which had several small children under the age of 7. The kids loved swimming in the mornings and the walk to the beach was EXTREMELY easy for the little ones, which means no one had to carry anyone since we had all the toys. The kids loved following the path down. All of the bedrooms are huge, which was nice because none of the families felt like they were getting the smaller room. The kids room was perfect and spacious as well. The house is well equipped with everything you may need.

Chagrin Falls Ohio family

We have been going to Hilton Head for the last 8 years and this house is by far the best home we have rented. The house is absolutely beautiful from the furniture, decor, and layout. The location is perfect for kids. The beach path is in the back yard and takes about 2 minutes to walk to the beach. The pool is large and the hot tub is perfect. The back porch area and the pool are in the sun all day. The beautiful palm trees and vegetation in the back provide privacy and block the wind. This house is the perfect vacation home!

Gorgeous Home and Great Location to Beach

This home was perfect for our families! The pictures do not do it justice. This home is very spacious, with plenty of room for everyone to spread out and the pool is beautiful. The interior is beautiful; the kitchen has wonderful cookware; and there is a TV for everyone. Although it is technically a 3rd row home, the walk to the beach is probably shorter than most walks from condos on the beach. Plenty of beach toys for the kids. Easy access to the bike rental shop and close to many grocery stores and restaurants. There is a security house with 'guards' 24/7 who take their jobs very serious to maintain the private residential neighborhood. We even saw 3 deer one evening on our bike ride. We loved everything about our stay here and hope to back for Spring Break 2013!

Our Home away from Home!!

This is our 7th year bringing in the New Year in this truly amazing beautiful very clean home in our most favorite place to be. It has everything you would ever need to make your stay both comfortable and worry free. The photos do not do it justice and it is literally a short walk to the beach. Lots of room for a large family or more than one family. The new deco is beautiful, and the amenities are exceptional!! The owners are terrific and make our stays stress-free. We look forward to many more New Year Eves at 2 Long Boat!!

Outstanding Place to live while on vacation

This house is beautiful. We have stayed here 5 years in a row for multiple weeks each year. The owners make sure the house is well kept, clean and has everything necessary to let you relax and enjoy your vacation. We have recommended the place to friends who have stayed here as well. the photos don't accurately reflect the beauty of the place. The house is very convenient to the beach and has all the chairs and beach stuff you'll need. Our family loves and we look forward to coming back year after year.
