Amazing home, Dream location!!

The only thing that beats the beauty of this home is its location! We spent a week here with our family and everyone is still talking about it. The home is well designed and thoughtfully organized to maximize the space and ensure comfort for all. The backyard pool and entertaining lower level keep our teens and nine year old entertained for hours. The only dilemma our family faced on a daily basis was to hang out in the beautiful backyard or take the 1 minute walk to the beach and hang out on the beautiful wide open sand while watching the waves roll in. The sunrises were breathtaking. Forest Beach is a beautifully designed community that offers so much! We highly recommend renting bikes a critical element to embrace the island life. We cannot recommend this property highly enough!!For those of you that may believe this sounds too good to be true, I will offer 2 small criticisms…Leaves fall in the pool… how dare them! The owners/ property managers seem to encourage you to rent beach stuff from small business owners on the island as there isn’t much kept at the home…unbelievable;) This place is amazing as will be your memories!!

The perfect home!

This home was more than we could have hoped for. The kitchen was amazing and so well appointed. The fridge was the best I've ever had in a rental property. The Beachside Getaway crew was so attentive and helpful. They contacted me often throughout the week to make sure our stay was perfect. The home is so close to the beach we felt like we were oceanfront. We had everything we needed and more in this property. We all enjoyed the pool and gameroom. Wish we could have stayed another week.

This home is huge! So spacious! Great for spreading out families, babies, etc. The pool/outdoor bar areas are also spacious and inviting. All the details of the home are well addressed—- beautiful home & yard & outdoor spaces! Vintage pieces add personality! Location is prime!!!

Beautiful beach house

Easy checking in with keyless key pad. Huge pool, well appointed kitchen with every utensil you can think of. Beautiful ocean views from 2nd and 3rd floors. If traveling with little ones you will need to have 3-4 gates for all the stairs. We ended up blocking stairs off with furniture . Overall it was a great location super close to the beach. Only negative was a few dead bugs under furniture and we could only get 2 out of the 7 TVs to work.

Amazing home!

We absolutely loved this rental. Plenty of room for our families, beautiful inside and out. It had everything we needed and more. The great pool and game room got plenty of use! This location is great for quick access to the beach and to Coligny.

Fanstastic house, great loction!

This house exceeded our expectations. The pictures online are gorgeous but don't even do it justice. Beachside Getwaway manages this property. They checked in a few times to make sure we had everything we needed and were very responsive when we had any questions. The house is spacious, great yard, super close to the beach and it had wonderful amenities. We would definitely stay here again.

2019 Sanders Family Vacation

Our family loved the house, the location and the amenities. We loved the easy access to the beach and to Coligny. There was a problem with the coffee maker but they promptly replaced it! Great customer service. There's a good chance we'll be back.

Hidden Gem

20 Gannet Street is a warm and welcoming vacation home to stay in. It has breath taking ocean views, direct beach access, exceptional decor and family friendly amenities. My family and I are looking forward to rebooking next year. Thank you to the home owners for sharing their lovely home! My family and I made memories that we will cherish.

House great, Beach Side Mgmt.not so great.

House was great for our large gathering with a wide range of ages. Accommodated all very nicely. Kitchen well equipped. Many wonderful seating areas, open and bright. Queen mattress, 2nd floor not very comfortable as well as King on third floor. House itself would get 5 stars. Very close to beach. Pool was only semi clean when we arrived. Hot tub did not work but Beach Side did not notify us until we called them on Monday. We found out that they knew on Saturday and possibly sooner it was not working. Unacceptable they did not notify us. Took numerous calls and it was supposedly repaired on Thurs. afternoon. We never tried it after that. Pool area needed a clean up after a storm but we had to call for that and had to wait a day. Pool full of pine straw, leaves and twigs, from storm but pool maintenance did not show until Thurs even though Wed. was their reg. scheduled day. We used net to clean some debris from pool but bottom of pool dirty. Pool and Hot Tub were priorities when we chose this listing. Mgmt. Co. always apologetic but just didn't appear to follow up on their service people or maybe they did and it still did not get done. They were very responsive to our questions before we began our stay.Three stars for them.

Perfect!

20 Gannet is incredible - the pictures don't do it justice! The house itself was beautiful, the kitchen was a dream and fully stocked! The beach access was maybe 15 feet from the house, our toes were in the sand in 60 seconds which was AMAZING with 10 kids under the age of 10 in tow! The biggest surprise based on pictures was the pool. In the pictures I thought it looked small but it definitely is not! Compared to other beachfront/ near beachfront homes we have stayed in - the pool at 20 Gannet is HUGE! i was really impressed that the house had dish soap, dishwasher pods and laundry pods available upon arrival. There was a second washer and dryer in the garage for beach towels and sandy items, we never had to drag sandy items through the house. We will reserve 20 Gannet every year from now on for our annual Hilton Head vacation!

Maintenance needed during the rental season

Positives - great location, nice backyard pool, spacious 2nd floor Negatives - house needs to be better maintained during the rental season. The dishwasher was not usable our entire July week (and I see it was reported to not be functioning correctly in May), 2nd floor washer was filthy with mold and also not usable, sound system was also broken. Several faucets were leaking and the toilets were running after flushing.

Great location. Beautiful & spacious home.

This was the perfect house for our multiple family vacation. The kitchen had plenty of supplies and the extra amenities such as games, books, beach towels, and toys were appreciated. Loved the multiple bathrooms too. We would definitely consider this property again. The dishwasher is the only negative I would complain about. It rarely completed a wash cycle, leaving the dishes dirty.

Perfect Beach House!

Our extended family of 13 loved this house! There were no unpleasant surprises as the house was exactly as described. Directly across the street from the beach path, and a big pool in the back yard that easily accommodated all of us at one time when we returned from the beach. Plenty of outdoor tables, chairs and lounge chairs plus the grill and handy outdoor kitchen area encouraged us to spend much of our time outdoors by the pool if we weren't at the beach. The 1st floor living area, well-equipped kitchen and multiple dining areas were perfect gathering spaces for eating and playing games. With 4 of the bedrooms on the 2nd level, the second floor living area with ocean views, small deck, and mini kitchen was the perfect spot for a quiet cup of early morning coffee before heading out for the day. The house was clean and in good repair with many high end finishes, yet it still felt like a comfortable beach house. Lots of space for everyone to gather (the house could easily accommodate more than 13), and room enough to "escape" for a little privacy. There were books and games in several areas of the house, and the game room by the pool was a hit with our teenagers and younger kids as well as with the adults. The location within walking/biking distance to Coligny Plaza was a bonus. We highly recommend this house for a memorable vacation!
