So close to the beach

House was great. It was perfect for our family. The pool was amazing and it was super close to the beach. The only bad thing I can say was the water pressure when taking showers. It was surprisingly weak. I’d stay here again.

We enjoyed our stay and the house has lots of space. We have rented this house more than once and love the house and it’s location. There were a couple of minor issues that we called in and were handled very quickly while we were there. Very responsive maintenance team. A great place for a vacation!

Great stay.

The pictures truly don’t do this home justice. It was beautiful and spacious, tons of outdoor space and inside spaces for the kids to hang out as well. It was also super close to the beach - a quick walk or bike ride. Overall we loved it and if we vacation in Hilton Head in the future would definitely stay here again!

Great vacation home!

This home was perfect for us - lots of space, very comfortable, and great location. We enjoyed the pool and back porch daily and the walk to the beach is short and easy.

I truly hope the actual owners read this review. I am very surprised by all of the excellent reviews of this property. I am going to post a very thorough and very realistic review of this vacation home. We have stayed at SEVERAL HHI vacation homes with medium-high expectations, especially for over $300/night. This house was incredible when it was first built. Our initial impression of the home was WOW! We have casually looked at HHI Homes with the intention of purchasing a vacation home one day. The really good: -Huge, well constructed home. -Perfect 2 car garage -Pretty clean for a beach home -Large bedrooms, plenty of room to spread out -We enjoyed that it was not within a larger neighborhood, such as Palmetto Dunes, as it made coming and going very simple. -Gorgeous pool -Outdoor shower with hot water! -Short walk to the PUBLIC beach -Small package of toiletries/kitchen items The bad- There are some non-negotiable things mentioned here that would prevent us from returning and thus earned 3 stars. I will also mention some things that are "fine", but truly need renovating. -EVERYTHING IS DATED. I mean like things your Grandma discards. The bowls/cups were atrocious brown, chipped items likely from rummage sales. Big thumbs down. There were hardly enough regular dishes/bowls/cups. Anywhere else has had copious amounts of amazing dishware/cups/etc. -Minimal cooking supplies. Scratched up pots/pans. Barely adequate utensils. NO condiments, oils, salt, etc. -Mismatched kitchen appliances, again likely from consignment sales, that rarely worked. -Terribly damaged/scratched kitchen table from the 80s -TVs (mostly OLD) with mismatched, dirty remotes that rarely worked. Only the living room TV worked. -Clothes dryer didn't work well at all. The lint filter was a literal hole. -Shamefully outdated bedroom furniture- with huge holes in it- again likely purchased from an old hotel auction. The drawers didn't close, they were beat up, the headboards were very loose. The curtains were a joke. -The mattresses were way too hard. The comforters were all dirty. -The AC states not to set it lower than 70. Ok. NO matter what we did it was humid and warm. -The "air hockey table" and "darts" were a joke. They didn't work at all. -DARE I mention that the "hot" tub wasn't heated, nor the pool. -If I owned this home, I would be appalled. It needs some serious updates. -The beach walk is longer than you expect. Public access. -Surrounding homes- questionable. -

Great location, perfect rental home

Would recommend to anyone looking for a great beach rental. The home was clean, beds were comfortable, and the property management company was extremely helpful and easy to contact. The only minor critique was the dart board didn't work and the pool/hot tub were not heated, however these were rather trivial issues...the rental was fantastic.

Family beach trip

The house was a perfect location from The beach. Easy access to everything on the island the hot tub and pool was not heated. So we did not get to enjoy the hot tub. The pool was a chilly 78 degrees And the bedrooms need room darkening drapes. Everyone is up at sun rise. When we vacation we like sleeping in a little bit any way. Over all it was a great trip. Nice house. I would definitely stay there again. Thank you

Beach Trip 2020

Very positive experience and everyone had a fabulous time. The pool area and bar were well used, as was the upstairs outside porch over looking the pool. This was our first trip to HHI and staying at 13 Moonshell in Folley Field was a good choice.

Great stay, just one issue.

This is a great house close to the beach with an awesome pool. Plenty of room to spread out. The only issue at all, and it is kind of big, was that the mattresses were incredibly hard, all throughout the house. Kind of like sleeping on bricks. Several of the kids in our group decided it was more comfortable sleeping on the floor!

Great home for our 2 families!

The house had a great set up as the open concept gave us plenty of room when inside. With that being said we spent most of our time outside. Between the short walk to the beach and the house’s bar/pool/gaming area we had numerous options to entertain the group that ranged from 17-53 in ages. Would definitely stay here again. Only negatives were the kitchen supplies could be updated and the bar area could have been cleaned better. (Back part of garage so also subject to sand etc). But highly recommend!

Perfect family vacation home

This was an absolutely amazing house. Location to Folly Field Beach was perfect - easy walk. Quiet street. The pool at the home is perfect for littles and such a quiet and relaxing space. Plenty of room for everyone in the house - never felt crowded. Only downsides were the mattresses were a little firm and the master suite is a little warmer than the rest of the house but the ceiling fan helped tremendously. All in all, we will absolutely be back next year!!!

Close to the beach

The house was beautiful. The pool was clean and great. Easy to check in. Super comfortable for us! If you cook there are not any condiments available nor aluminum foil or that sort of stuff. The inside of the curtains where dirty in two of the bathrooms and the sink garbage disposal didn’t work but they company was informed
