Absolutely loved this beautiful home. Everything was clean. The pool and dock were a highlight. Walking to the beach was so easy. Communication with the host was so smooth. We would definitely stay again!

The house is as described and perfectly located. We loved the 5 minute walk to the beach and 5 minutes to the General Store for ice cream cones after a hot day at the beach! There is a lot of room for your group to spread out. When you are tired of the beach, you can take a dip in the pool! The management was quick to respond to our needs.

Large house, small pool, no privacy.

We’ve been vacationing on HHI for decades, and renting detached homes for the past 15 years. We were pretty let down by this place. It’s spacious, but poorly furnished in a way that fails to make use of that space. Regardless of what the ad says, this house can comfortably sleep four adults and four kids. Any more than that and you’re crashing in the living room. There is a second living room off the kitchen which could be a bedroom if the door hadn’t been removed. The kitchen is ill-equipped. Bring some flatware if you have a large group. The furniture is very worn and uncomfortable (as sleeper couches usually are), which is typical when owners are trying to maximize sleeping capacity to drive the price up. The walls are pretty much bare. Very little effort in decorating this place. The deck is nice. The grill is a POS, and the drip pan was removed, so that made a mess. The pool is about twice the size of a hot tub, with jagged edges that caused injuries to several of us. There is no privacy, with the bridge right there. It’s a nice area to kayak in the lagoon, but the owners had their tired old kayaks locked up.It was extremely noisy due to the golf course out front, and the hotels across the lagoon. Morning coffee on the deck was accompanied by non-stop leaf blowers and back up alarms—every single day. It’s close to the beach, but not the access points, and the properties nearby have gated access to the beach. Worst house we’ve rented on HHI.

Really enjoyed the house. Location was excellent. Shirt walk to the beach, short walk to the General Store and Pickleball courts. The house has everything you need. I would stay here again.

Perfect Family Vacation

This place was great! Close to everything in Palmetto Dunes and a short walk to the beach. The pool was clean and lots of wildlife to spot in and around the lagoon. The place was clean and well kept. Plenty of room for everyone and big tables for family dining. Will definitely book again!

A Great Family Vacation

We had a great stay at 1 St George and were so sad to leave! The house is great for families, including extended families, with separate bathrooms, plenty of beds, and more than enough seating and space. The house was well equipped. We loved the pool and sunroom space the most. We would love to return.

Fantastic place

This is a perfect location. House is quite large and has plenty of room. Just off the main drag and easy walk to beach or pickle ball. The host company is extremely attentive and provided answers to our questions immediately.

Wonderful home and Great Location

The home is nice and spacious with a really nice pool. Deck overlooks the water. Great location, close to everything yet feels like you are secluded. We will be back!

Great vacay

We had a wonderful time at 1 St. George. It was a really nice place with plenty of room. Really enjoyed the patio and table for 8 perfect for us. The beach access was much closer that we had thought which was a pleasant surprise. Would definatly rent again.

Great Stay w Family

Loved the property. About a half mile from beach so was easy drop off of people & supplies & then parked van at house & rode rented bike back to beach. Loved the private pool at the house. Had 7,6,3,&2 aged grand kids so was good to have pool there for after naps. We thoroughly enjoyed the week.

Palmetto Dunes House

Great location, clean, well kept. Bring paper towels, dish soap for the sink. None provided. Dishwasher broke down last day. They sent some right away, but couldn’t get it fixed before left. Understandable. With all that said, I would rent from them again.

Excellent stay in an excellent property

I was set to travel internationally when that trip was postponed, so my family and I decided visit HI for the first time. We are hooked on the location and all of the beauty that is Hitlon Head Island. From the moment that I booked this house, the communication was excellent. I especially liked the app that I was able to download from the rental management company which kept everything easy to locate. I love that the app had restaurant recommendations, wether information, a list of things to bring and also a list of things to do. We also received a credit towards renting beach equipment but since we already had some to bring , we didn’t use it. It was nice to have that option. The home is well maintained and we were all happy with it. I was especially happy that there was no carpet to be worried about and the beach towels and washer and dryer were a plus. The kitchen was stocked with what we needed to cook as far as pots and pans and such go. There were lots of garbage bags, paper towel, adequate dish detergent and a giant container of laundry tabs which I’m sure we depleted a bit lol! The manager, Quinn I believe was his name checked in with us by phone call an text which is appreciate a lot. The checkin and checkout process was seamless. The location was amazing as it was directly across front the golf course, up the street from the beach and in a very quiet spot. My mother loved the boat dock and all of the glass windows in the living room overlooking the pool from which she would monitor the grandkids in the pool. I loved my morning walks to and from the beach. My husband loved deck off of the master bedroom that allowed him to watch football and the grandkids in the pool at the same time! My kids loved everything about the house and are now lobbying for us to buy a beach house on the island! This is one amazing place and I highly recommend it to anyone!

Clean, Updated, and Spacious

The pool is smaller than you might think, but we had a great time and easily fit 7 people. There was only one roll of paper towels, and it was a small one. The bottom switch in the bathroom for the bunk bed room is a heater, which was cool. Each bedroom has its own full bath. No shared bathroom. Grill was really dirty.

Hilton Head 2021

1 St George was a great place for our first trip after covid. We had three families all together (10 in total) with plenty of room for everyone. The house was very clean, well stocked and the pool was perfect for us. There is a short walk to the beach but not bad at all! We had a great time. We will be back!

We liked the property and loved being on the lagoon. It’s convenient to the beach. Property does need updating do command the rental fee it charges - We come every year so we are pretty confident about that. It’s not a ban property though - the beds are comfortable. Layout is nice. Shower head in master needs to be replaced as does the faucet in kitchen sink. Pool is nice. Rental company is very responsive to any requests or calls - much more so then other companies we have dealt with.

1 St. Georges - Very Nice Vacation Rental

The home is lovely, and if you have children under 10 the pool is a godsend, as the little ones wear out at the beach fairly easily. The property was clean and well-equipped with everything one could need, and all appliances worked great. We have only one suggestion that make the experience even better, and the property even more desireable. Although flooring is not an expense to be taken lightly, the owner may want to consider changing to ceramic tile, especially in the dining area where spills can occur (thankfully we did not have any), but also in the living areas that have entrances from the deck/pool/dock, so as to minimize potential soiling week after week. The only other suggestion is indeed minor-- consider installing toilet paper dispensers that are affixed to the wall, in favor of the current free-standing dispensers which can fall or 'travel' when in use. Overall however, the property was wonderful, and Beachside Getaway was equally hospitable. Our only dismay was the crowds and traffic at Hilton Head this time of year.

Spring Getaway

We loved our stay. We have been coming to Palmetto Dunes for over 15 yrs and we love every minute of it. We will be booking thru Beachside Getaways again because the process was so easy and amazing.
