Overall, this was a great stay. This yard surrounding this property is definitely very tropical feeling. Hilo had some rain around the time we were there, so the tile floors were a touch damp (not a slip hazard by any means), but turning on the fan dried things out nicely. There are also a few little bugs, but nothing that could be helped by anyone on the island that doesn't have a/c, so you'd expect to see it in most vacation rentals on a site like this. They fit through the screens. They really weren't a bother, but just something to prepare for on your island stay, especially when you're staying near fruiting trees/plants. We arrived after dark, so I was a bit unsure about where to go, but just follow the carport up past the airstream and you'll see the little cottage tucked away. The response time from our host was fantastic with helping us figure that out and also for the duration of our stay. The shower was very nice with good water pressure and warm water. The coqui frogs were a pleasant dream to fall asleep to (even though they're invasive), but if that's not for you, bring ear plugs or a little white noise machine. We saw some geckos around the property too. I'd happily stay here again :)
