Great ocean view! Terrific snorkeling adjacent to the building. Lots of sea turtles and fish. Well appointed unit, in terms of kitchen utensils, linens, furniture. Great appliances, convenient laundry room just down the hall, friendly atmosphere throughout, and a reserved parking spot. We would definitely stay again!

Lovely Location

If you’re familiar with Hilo, you know this is a great location and a reasonable price for a clean, easily accessible apartment with everything you need.

The apartment was clean and everything inside was working as it should. Great location next to a nice tide pool area where snorkeling was possible. The building common areas were not ideal, and the pool needs a good cleaning, but for the money the location and condition of the apartment was a good value.

We enjoyed our stay in Hilo! This is a quintessential Hawaiian apartment/condo. Very simple, great ocean breezes, walk out and take a dip in the protected seawater pools kind of place.

The condo was certainly satisfactory. Really only issue was the pool is not that great and it was freezing. There was no smoke detector, which my 4 year old grandson noticed. The location was very good.

Perfect location for us! Property was clean and beautifully decorated! We loved walking down to 4-Mile in the mornings and afternoons. Found honu too!

Location, location, location!

The beach and surrounding area was amazing. Lots of turtles in the water right behind the property! We really enjoyed our stay here. The property was comfortable and clean. The road in front of the complex is noisy, but I wouldn’t let that deter you. Such a good spot!

The property adjoins a very swimmable beach and has a nice pool as well. The view from the 5th floor was fantastic and our place was clean and well stocked. Unfortunately the neighborhood was quite noisy.

“ We love this Condo!”

First stay here was for our 25th Wedding Anniversary and we came back and stayed in this same condo for our 35th Wedding Anniversary. It’s clean, well stocked and the location is perfect. Thanks for sharing your little piece of Heaven with us, look forward to our return visit to this same place again!

Hilo condo

This condo was in a good location, close to water with a beautiful view of the water through the trees. Fairly quiet, some street noise and close to airport but that didn't bother us. Condo was very clean and well kept, really have no complaints about it. We enjoyed our week long stay.

We loved this condo. It was clean and quiet and right next to carlsmith park. It was a bit of a drive (10 minutes) to get into town, but we loved the location. One of my favorite things was the view from the deck. Pure jungle and ocean. Breathtaking! The condo was also well furnished and so comfortable. Wonderful place to stay!

Mauna Loa Shores

This was our first time staying on the Big Island. We decided to stay in Hilo because of the lush greenery and we were not disappointed! Staying at Mauna Loa Shores made it easy to enjoy a swim in the ocean, just steps away from the building. Our host, Terry gave us a list of restaurants and attractions that were a short drive away from our location. We would stay here again the next time we're in Hilo.

Lovely spot

My wife and I had a very nice stay at Mauna Loa Shores! The lanai is nice and private, with a great view of the lagoon at Carlsmith Beach Park. The condo itself is very tastefully appointed and decorated, and the kitchen well equipped for cooking. The owner was very communicative leading up to our stay. We would definitely recommend this condo to anyone looking for a relaxing and enjoyable stay in Hilo.

It was beautiful ocean by condo. We enjoyed to walk and swim around. Quiet place but only night time it was Koki frogs but it’s HILO!!

Great Location - Secure Building

Great location near nice beach/park within minutes from downtown Hilo. Awesome manager communication with excellent local recommendations. Easy access, parking, and key elevator for secure building access. Only negative is there were many small bugs probably due to the closeness of the park and very loud traffic noise due to being on a main street.

Comfortable Stay

Property was clean and comfortable and a good size and security is very good. It has a dedicated parking stall. Host Terry was very helpful. You can see and hear the ocean from the balcony and there is nice swimming in the sheltered bay. The tree frog chirping at night was part of the tropical experience. A nice place overall.

Great place.

Clean, had everything we needed. If you are looking for a resort type experience, this isn’t it, but this clean, well stocked condo was perfect for us. There is a bit of road noise at night, but we quickly got used to it. You do go through an industrial area to get there, but once through that, the neighborhood is pleasant, with a number of beach parks close by. The owner was easy to communicate with, and we’d certainly stay here again when we come back.
