  • This Hill City home is the third we have built here. It boasts 5 inviting bedrooms, including 2 king beds, 2 queen beds, and 2 full size bunk beds. Each of 4 bathrooms is equipped with a hair dryer and a bathtub/shower for your convenience. With a powder bath off of the kitchen - that's 5 total bathrooms! The soothing atmosphere of this property will make guests feel right at home. Whether you're looking for a nice getaway or a central home base, this home has everything you need for a complete stay. We look forward to welcoming you to this home.

    This home is currently under construction and will be available May 10th, 2025.

Four Generations

Our family of four generations had the best time at this house! Everything was immaculate. I only wish we had more than the four days to spend here. We will definitely stay here again if we are back in the area!

Amazing home!! Comfortable beds, fully stocked kitchen, amazing air hockey table for the kids! The hot tub was great and all furniture very comfortable and looked brand new! Would highly recommend!!!

We enjoyed our stay at this property. We were there to ride side by sides for the week. The house was excellent and in the perfect location. The owner was fast to respond and attentive to our group. A rating!!!

Nice place

Nice clean property. Lots of games and bikes for kids and adults. Close to attractions and Custer State Park. Made s’mores in the fire pit. Loved Sylvan Lake. Nice quiet neighborhood.

The new home wasn't quite finished (exterior dirt work/lawn still in progress). Host was great. Facility was great for 8 adults. Central point to sites that we wanted to visit.

Love it!

This is the second time we have stayed in one of Chuck’s properties. It is in the middle of everything we wanted to do. The kids loved the air hockey table and hot tub. Plenty of room for them to have their own space as well. Very clean and we had everything we needed!

The property exceeded our expectations. It was clean and had plenty of space for 9 of us. Beds were comfortable, the hot tub was perfect, the kitchen had all the pots & pans we needed. The owner, Chuck, was very friendly and helped us get acclimated to all the things inside the house and the area in town. The game room for the teenagers was a big extra enjoyment for all. The location was great for all our adventures and so close to town. Really enjoyed it!!!!!

The property was beautuful. The host provided so many extras of things we often forget. Detergent, dish soap, coffee filters , paper towels, etc. He checked on us to see how we were doing. We are already thinking of when we can come back. Thanks, Chuck!!

Our family of 11 (adult siblings and spouses) stayed here for my 50th state marathon (Crazy Horse). The house was very clean, comfortable and perfect for the trip. It was an easy 20 minute drive to the start but more importantly, was a very pleasant short walk via the path to downtown Hill City. From the address, we thought it would be a short drive so it was so nice to finish a day of site seeing, park the car and walk to dinner. We made dinner at the house too and the kitchen is well equipped. The fireplace made the house cozy on those chilly mornings. Chuck checked in with us mid-stay to make sure everything was good.

June5-9 2026Thank you, Chuck, for being such a great host and welcoming us into this beautiful home! We had the most incredible stay here in Hill City.With a large multi-generational group, family dynamics can be a bit of a balancing act, but this house was an absolute dream. The massive, open layout gave us plenty of space to gather and the amount of beds/baths meant everyone could find their own quiet corner when they needed a breather.The kids and teens practically lived at the air hockey table in the loft. It was incredibly noisy, but it kept them happy and entertained for hours! When the rest of us needed some peace and quiet, the outdoor spaces were our saving grace. We loved winding down in the back patio hot tub, and the front porch was the perfect spot for relaxing in the evenings—we even got to watch some local deer stroll by.This was the perfect, fully stocked home base for all of our Black Hills adventures. We packed our days with hiking the Volksmarch at Crazy Horse, exploring caves, mini-golf, and scenic drives through Needles Highway and Custer State Park (the baby bison were a major highlight!).We are leaving with so many wonderful memories. Terrific Time at the Home in the Hills!

This is the second time we’ve stayed at one of Chuck’s homes in this neighborhood in Hill City and it was terrific! This is a beautiful new home in a very nice and new neighborhood with a great view from the front patio. We saw deer making their way through the neighborhood every day!The home itself was fantastic for hosting our group of 10, including grandparents to grandkids. The kids loved the air hockey table, hot tub, bikes, and bean bag toss at the home. The home is very spacious with multiple areas for a large group to enjoy. The multiple refrigerators, gas grill, fire pit, front and back patios, two sets of clothes washers/dryers, plenty of parking, plenty of towels, all the necessary utensils, direct access to the Mickelson Trail, etc. made this a perfect base for our days of exploring the Black Hills. Chuck is a great host and would recommend his properties to anyone staying in the area!

Great property close to Hill City, in fact just less than a 5-minute walk down the hill to Hill City South dakota. The house is impeccable and tremendous for large parties as it has five bedrooms I believe two full baths and two half baths a second balcony area that has a kitchenette and a game area. The house is all set up for a large parties many different kinds of bicycles in the garage so adults in kids can ride in the houses in quiet neighborhood with a beautiful view. Highly recommend. The only downside is that if you don't buy insurance it does require a 3,000 deposit.

Our host, Chuck, was very accommodating. He met us when we arrived and explained how to use the television if we wanted, how to set the jets & temp on the hot tub, brought firewood for the fire pit, and we had remotes for the garage and he had an overflow spot for us to park our 4 UTV trailers. Chuck was very responsive to any questions we had. Beautiful home, comfortable beds and plenty of room for 4 couples.
