This home was charming and historic with lots of room for our mixed age extended family of ten! We loved the hot tub, bonfire pit and game room AND being able to walk to coffee, dinner, and ice cream!

Great location! The house is very spacious and well stocked. We really appreciated the extra things like toilet paper and paper towels - there were plenty. The beds were very comfortable. Having 3 bathrooms was a plus. We would stay here again. The house is definitely older and could use a little t&cs in some areas. Overall - great place in a great location.

Spacious and lovely 1929 home

The house is a 1929 charmwr that has been well decorated. It has tons of space for large group, everything was well stocked, the back yard was wonderful for the dogs and the hot tub was a treat after long motorcycle rides. Very convenient location to shops and restaurants.

We miss the house already. What a great place to decompress after our long road trip. The house is very spacious, charming, clean and well stocked. The location is great too with a short walk into town. The he backyard was so wonderful for the dogs and the hot tub was a real treat. Sarah was a great host. This rental is well worth your consideration, so book it and enjoy the area.

Fantastic location

Hill city haven seems to be an older home with lots of charm! Very well preserved, kept up, and clean - which is what we look for the most! The kitchen was very well equipped and there are 2 sets of washers and dryers which was perfect as we had 2 families staying! We loved being able to stroll downtown to all the shops and restaurants and the best part… the ice cream shop!! The game room and hot tub were a nice bonus and we would definitely recommend Hill City Haven to anyone we know traveling to the Black Hills!!

The location of Hill City Haven is conveniently located near stores, restaurants & more. Some are close enough to walk to! The Haven was perfect for my family. We had plenty of room & also enjoyed the hot tub! Great place to stay!

Awesome property

Overall a great property in a cute town. Walking distance to many great restaurants and close to so many great outdoor gems such as Custer State Park, Badlands, Mt Rushmore, Devils Tower, Wind Cave & Jewel Cave National Parks. Great kitchen and outdoor hot tub. Must stay in the Black Hills.

Great location in Hill City

This is a unique property in the center of Hill City. It has lots of room, a well stocked kitchen, an attractive backyard complete with hammock and hot tub, and plenty of bedrooms for a larger group. There is also a new game room that we enjoyed. The check-in process was easy, and the host was responsive to our questions. We were able to walk to all attractions in Hill City, and the Mickelson Bike trail is only a block and a half away. There is sufficient parking for several cars and ample storage for bikes. We hope to be back for a future visit!

A Great Spot

We had a great stay here…plenty of room and a short walk to shops and restaurants. House is older, but has some updates and everything you need. Fenced in yard was great for our dog…fireplace was great. Hill City is a great spot to explore everything in the Black Hills from, and this was a great spot to stay for our trip.

Hill City Haven

This house has character! It's older, but was perfect for our group of 6. The beds were amazing!! Walking distance to restaurants and shopping. We had a blast here. Yard with hot tub. Everything you need to feel at home, especially the ice maker! Will stay here again.

Great Location and stay

The house has plenty of room for everyone. We were traveling with 3 teens and it worked great. Location allows for a quick walk to restaurants and shops. Elizabeth's has awesome coffee and Cream is some of the best ice cream I have ever had. All around a convenient base for checking out the area and host is very responsive.

Fall Family Getaway

The house was perfect for our extended family trip. There was plenty of room for our 3 small families to have privacy, but a lot of common areas. We loved the walkability into town. There are many great restaurants, coffee shops, and breweries in town. The hot tub was fantastic at the end of the day after outings. Central location in the Hills was great. Most places we went were no longer than 30 minute drives.

Great Stay!

Our family of 5 had the best stay over the 4th of July holiday. We loved the house and Hill City and were able to make day trips to everything we wanted to see in the Black Hills. Sarah was an amazing host and the house was clean and comfortable, giving all of us our own space and plenty of bathrooms to speed up getting ready (important with two teen daughters!). If we ever get the chance to come back to the area we will definitely stay here again. Highly recommend!

Fun place!

This is the coolest old house! It is quite large and would fit a huge group of people! Love the gas fireplace and the hot tub. Didn't use the fire pit but it looks awesome as well. Giant kitchen with everything you need. Hosts are amazing. Will definitely be back!

Christmas in HIll City, SD

This is a beautiful home. Great kitchen space. Very roomy, with nice dining room, 2 living rooms. Great for family get-togethers. We even had a dog with us and the yard was perfect for him. One of the bedrooms has a mattress that is very very firm, hard to sleep on and the home was a little chilly.....other than the family room with the fireplace, nice and cozy there. We enjoyed our stay and would consider renting the home again for a future stay.

Family and outlaws

Cozy little house with convenient parking within walking distance of everything in Hill City. This kitchen is better equipped then mine. Has wine fridge, ice machine, big fridge, nice cook top and oven and dishwasher that works well. Lots of space for relaxing and games. Boys enjoyed football on tv.
